replace cpu for Pavilion dv6-6031er

I have a laptop Pavilion dv6-6031er processor Phenom II P960. Is it possible to change the Phenom II N970 или Phenom II X 920 processor?

Unfortunately, it is not possible to upgrade the processor of your laptop. This also the warranty, as your laptop is designed for optimal performance on the installed equipment.

If you are patient and confident in your ability to disassemble and rebuild the small electronic devices and have the necessary tools that should not be a problem.

If you don't know where start, then consider leaving this job to the professionals, unless you don't mind owning an expensive paperweight.

  • order a recovery disc for pavilion dv6-3090tx

    Hello

I have a HP Pavilion DV6-3090TX about 2 years. A few months back my laptop froze and wouldn't restart normally. I wiped the hard drive and installed a version on the theme of windows 7 (30 days activation is already passed) so I can continue to use it (in the middle of my Uni term) because I didn't have the original Windows 7 disc that was used to install on my laptop. A few days ago, my battery is dead (no longer charges-warning about replacing the battery keeps popping up) and I think it's because of the incompatibility between the os and the hardware. I want to order recovery disks for my laptop to prevent other problems like this happen and hope you re - install windows 7 Home premium that came with it originally.

Question 1-will it re - install all the parameters, including standard factory programs and the OS (windows 7)?

Question 2-if my warranty has expired, can I pay and how much?

I'm in new Zealnd, if it helps.

Appreciate any help I can get this,

    See you soon.

Thanks a lot for the post, but I chose to ring a number 0800 NZ and he ordered on the phone I found on the forum. (5-7 work days to arrive I hope so!) But your adivice I'll keep for future reference should something else happens :-|.

I appreciate the help, and thanks again.

    See you soon.

  • Replacement battery for HP DV6 7028TX (batteries to shoot) - and a comment on Msata

    Hi all, how are you?

I need a replacement battery for my laptop (DV6-7028TX) and online there are several places that offer, "Pull on batteries", which are basically ripped off a new computer laptop, as the name suggests and is much less expensive. Does anyone have any experience with these? And they are all good?

On the topic of hardware upgrades and replacements, for those of you who may have a hp dv6-7028tx, while doing some maintence on this, I spotted an msata slot, (which is empty as stock on this model), to which i added a kingston ssd 60 GB Msata and got the Intels Rapid Storage Technology running. who uses the ssd as a cache for the HARD drive. And staff of his lightning quick with start-up experience and all my regular programs. So, if you have a slot msata and can run Intels RST, I definitely recommend get it! well worth the $75 to the ssd. It feels like a new laptop.

I apologize me a bit off-topic, here is the link for batteries

Let me know what you savvy people of this, thank you!

    Hi all

    -updated

And thank you Mrstenter for this info, but it wasn't the answer I was looking for.

I advanced and bought 'New battery pull' for $27, and it works well. only 6 cycles and 96% of its capacity. for less than $30, when hp will sell them for $139.00, its really good value!

The link posted in my first comment, was the battery that I bought.

In conclusion, regarding the new traction batteries-it works and is well worth the money! (Provide its from a reliable seller.)

    See you soon!
