No, the GPU and the CPU work separately.  The motherboard determines what CPU can be installed.  Here is the 'illustrated with parts and Service card' to the computer.  P. 2, there is a list of processors that will work in the computer.  The next step upward is an E6600, 4 MB cache, 2.4 GHz, 1066 FSB (Front Side Bus) and E6700, 4 MB cache, 2.67 GHz, 1066 MHZ front side bus.

DC7700 has a cpu socket problem where it will blink red and beep if the cpu is not "sitting" remove the processor and replacement in different ways etc will allow it to function normally.  Well that does not support DC7700 Q6600 DC7800 sff motherboard would be in the order of $15 on ebay it fits dc7700 sff chassis.

    * SOLVED *.

Ended up literally having an empty 2GB FAT16 USB FLASH DRIVE with only the last v116 bin to the root.  Start the PC with the USB in the port before, said flash has successfully and it is up and going again.

  • HP a1250n, radeon xpress 200 question after replacing the CPU, Standard VGA Graphics goes not down

Recently, I messed up my CPU and bought a replacement (exact same kind). I am running windows 7 ultimate and for about 6 months prerequisites with no problems. After replacing the CPU I get intermittent lock ups, sometimes with a small portion of the screen flashes. I say intermittent but at least every 15-20 minutes. Different programs, different habits, but still the screen freezes.

I went in and deleted the driver under graphics cards, pick a 'completely remove the option' - it after restarting the system on its own charged for a Standard VGA Graphics Adapter and since there is then no more accidents. Of course the functionality is not as complete, large icons and such, but it works.

If it certainly seems to point to a driver conflict I think. But for this machine, is there ever any single Vista Windows 7 driver. My skills are not so, but I'm moving.

    Any guidance?

    Hello

Yes, your PC has integrated graphics controller: ATI Radeon XPress 200, we don't find drivers compatible Windows 7 ATI.

The BEST OPTION: Buy a video card, then insert it into slot PCI Express 16 on the motherboard to better display and multimedia performance with Windows 7 to a value using else, it looks just like Windows XP

  • Can I replace the memory and not lose what is on the old memory for a Mid 2007 Mack computer desktop Intel Core 2 Duo, 2 GHz processor speed, 1 CPU, 4 MB of Cache L1, the 4 GB memory at 800 MHz bus speed.  Only 1 slot can play memory, the other is damaged

Can I replace the memory and not to lose what's on the memory of the former?  I have a Mid 2007, 20 "desktop Mac, Intel Core 2 Duo, 2 GHz processor, 1 CPU, 4 MB L2 cache, 4 GB of memory, 800 MHz bus speed.  I have a backup device.  A RAM slot is damaged.

You are confused of RAM and disk space available.

RAM stores information temporarily while the Mac is enabled and the application is reached. RAM replacement has no effect on the long term of your information storage.

The hard drive is where your information is stored in the long term. If you replace your hard drive, you need restore the information from a backup.

FYI, for your iMac, the maximum RAM is only 6 GB.

    Hello

When I press on the power button the floppy drive makes a noise for a second slot and turns off again and the yellow power LED cable lights.

I put back the original parts in the machine, but I still have the problem.

Any idea of what s upward?

    Thank you

    Hello Rob

I agree with Johnny. You have probably damaged the mainboard. Replacement of the CPU part of the very sensitive laptop and most people make mistake and CPU burn out. You are a technician or is the replacement of material your hobby?

  • Satellite C670d - 11 k - can I replace the CPU?

Can I replace the CPU on my 11K satellite C670D help please

    Hello

The chipset is AMD A50M, so you can ONLY use AMD processors that are supported by the chipset.
But it is still open question whether the BIOS would support the new processor.

Since updates are not official supported by any laptop manufacturer, you will not find this info anywhere...
If these updates are at your own risk, and no one would be able to tell if the laptop would be stable after this upgrade the CPU.

    Hello

Unfortunately you can not replace the CPU existing with a "new dual core CPU" because your system is not designed for dual-core cpu´s.
There are many arguments why not replace the cpu, the most important argument is that the dual core cpu mechanically and electrically fit on the motherboard.

So, if you want a faster machine then buy a new one because you won´t have additional options to update your computer.

    Sorry, but that's all :/

    See you soon

  • replacement of card mother m6 HP envy without replacing the cpu or gpu

I have a computer laptop envy m6 1102 - its who has problems with the motherboard that needs to be replaced
can I replace it with replace them it's cpu/gpu?

Thanks, but are there parts that can be replaced in the motherbard or I have to replace it? Thanks in advance.

Well, after getting to the motherboard there is in fact only the heatsink and the CPU to replace. You must remove them and install them on the new Board of Directors. You need to install the new board inside the base (bottom of box) connect all the cables and son back etc...

I have a satellite A110-252 and need to know how to replace the cpu, hope someone can help you.

    Doug

First of all there if the new processor would be compatible with the BIOS.
Second, you should know that a plu CPU produce more heat and this would lead to overheating.
Are you sure that your laptop would deal with the new CPU?
    I don t think so

In any case, I found this page:

There may be some useful pic and instructions for you

But once again; If I was you, I wouldn't try it.

  • Is it possible to adjust the CPU fan after replacing the CPU - Satellite L35 - S21?

I have a Toshiba Satellite L35-S2161. It was initially equipped with a Celeron M 410. Last weekend, I replaced the Celeron with a Pentium Core Duo T2250. Everything works fine. Now, both the Celeron and Pentium seem to run a bit hot.

The beach of temp for both are exactly the same. Honer time between Celcius 55 to 62 degrees Celsius.

Is it possible to set the fan to maintain a temperature between 50 to 55 degrees? If so, how?

    Check this http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/FAQ7A01ZW0007R01.htm

-It is uncertain whether the new processor is compatible to the system board. Integrated chipsets can take charge of their technical specifications a wide range of processors, but this does not mean that all types of CPU can be used in a mobile system for * integrated cooling systems are designed individually for each set of model in order to ensure the optimal functioning of the machine *. An incorrect CPU can cause the system to overheat and damage the internal system components.

-In most cases, the BIOS does not work with the replaced CPU which causes a malfunction of the machine. The BIOS needs to be rewritten after each Exchange of a CPU that can only be done by an authorized Toshiba service partner.

  • Compaq dc7700 sff: motherboards latest include the compaq dc7700 sff case?

I want to use the case of an old dc7700 sff, but the layout of the Panel back looks like it is the inverse of all the motherboards I've found. Is there any motherboards that support DDR3 RAM and have at least three connectors SATA (SATA 3 preference) that will be adapted to this case (PCI ports on the left instead of right of ports)?

    Hello:

    Unfortunately, there is not.

The dc7700 was the last model that used the case that has also been used d530, dc7100, dc7600.

When the dc7800 came out, they used a completely different case, which was also used on the dc7900.

Then the case was changed again when the 8xxx models Elite have been introduced.

The first business office of HP in this class that came with sata ports 3 was the 8200 Elite SFF/CMT.

  • E153sa Pavilion 17: replace the cpu

My laptop does not start. No fan, nothing.
Only flashes on the SHIFT key, which I understand as a code of non-functional CPU.
Only 18 months but old warranty.
From the manual, it looks like I can replace the CPU. If Yes, approximately what is the approximate cost of UC and what options for a compatible CPU are there?
Also, where is the best place to buy one?

    Thanks for the reply.

Not really what I want to hear, because it is not conclusive. I agree with you, however, so try a motherboard first. I cross my fingers.

    Thanks for the links.
