Replacement of components wireless keyboard

The USB connection for my mouse and wireless Microsoft keyboard can be replaced?  My 12 year old son has lost connection to his keyboard and wireless mouse.

I'm afraid I couldn't find that it sold separately. Try ebay, and if it does not, you will have to buy the whole package. teengeek.freehostingcloud.com

    Transmitter/receiver says "Microsoft 2.4 GHz transceiver v2.0"

    Thank you!

I talked with Microsoft today and, Yes, the person who answered said that there is NO replacement for the receiver, and I have to buy a new set upwards.  After asking to speak to someone who had technical knowledge and don't get any then I asked a supervisor.  I've been waiting for several minutes, but I wasn't going to give up.  Finally, an answered and after a supervisor explained that I knew something to computing, he offered to send me a brand new unit, for free.  And upward that broad, he said he could only make the order and it would ship me in 1-3 days.

The number I called is 800-360-7561, option 2.  Make sure you ask to speak to a supervisor, as people who respond do not have any idea.  They read just out of a script.  I hope this helps someone out there.  Microsoft wants to keep their ccustomers elements and will do what it takes to keep them.

  • model x 64 wireless keyboard is not very functional

I bought the HP Envy 700-229C at Costco in Vancouver, British Colombia in late June of this year and now I found that my wireless keyboard SK-2061 model does not work very well as most of the time I keep typing, but many words does not top, or very slow to appear, I thought that can be exhausted batteries then I replaced with new rechargeable batteries a few times, it has not improved for medium muchwhich same problem occurred.

This worked well enough from July until mid-August, but after that, the problem happened as mentioned. Since my office the total value is still under warranty, can you please confirm if you will get a new functional keyboard soon or what.

Looking forward to hear from you by return with TKS.

I have the standard wireless keyboard and mouse HP mouse works fine and batteries seem to be OK, the keyboard however will drain a new set of new batteries every 24 hours, why?  as far as I can tell that no buttons are blocked, any other device running around this system which are infrared, without remote controls have no television, radio ext only a wireless phone, we also live in the country and no one is around us, most close House is 1/4 mile away.  HP is telling me it's the computer, but the batteries seem to elapse when the computer turns OFF, I say a bad keyboard... Any suggestions? • HP wireless keyboard from 2.4 GHz on the HP Pavilion Elite 083 Volume controls does not not in Windows 8

I have a HP 2.4 GHz wireless keyboard on a desktop HP Pavilion Elite 083 UK:

    Model KG-08510 rev 1.1

    Product #ABU KZ256AA number

    Part number 505143-031

.. Since the upgrade to Windows 8 Pro to Windows 7 Home Premium, I have problems with getting control of Volume +, - and disable keys on the keyboard to work reliably in Windows 8 Pro.

In summary, the symptom is that when I start the PC from a start-up to cold which is a full power down of the State of the volume on the keyboard controls do not work.

However, if I unplug and re - plug the USB wireless receiver that came the keyboard on the PC then on the keyboard volume controls begin to work again.

I tried the following things to try to solve this problem:

-Made a lot of new installation of Windows 8 i.e. reformatting the hard drive (no recovery) and fresh install Windows 8 on a blank hard drive.

-Installation of Microsoft Windows all the updates available for the machine.

-Manually install drivers wireless keyboard on the site of HP driver for my computer HP Pavilion Elite 083uk (this allows the screen display on to CapsLock and numlock which works reliably every time that I start).

-Disable 'fast start up' in Windows 8 power settings

-Using different USB ports on the back of the machine

This question is re-producable each time and the keyboard volume buttons work fine even from boot cold when I was running Windows 7.

I think that I have now found a solution / workaround to solve this case no matter who is interested.

    1. download and install the Microsoft "DevCon" tool that provides an interface to command line for Device Manager.

Download and installation instructions are here:

    http://social.technet.Microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/182.how-to-obtain-the-current-version-of-device-console-utility-DevCon-exe.aspx

    2. create a Windows scheduled task with "highest privileges" that works on logon that issues the following command:

    DevCon restart 'HID\VID_03F0 & PID_0862 & REV_0105 & MI_01 & Col02'

This restarts "HID-compliant consumer control device" that is listed in my device manager which is middle for the proper functioning of the volume control and mute buttons on the keyboard (keyboard functionality is via a separate driver which is not affected).

NB. you need to replace ""HID\VID_03F0 & PID_0862 & REV_0105 & MI_01 & Col02"with whatever hardware ID is listed in the device for that Manager.»

    3. If the above does not work, then you must create a scheduled task to run a batch file with the following:

    DevCon disable 'HID\VID_03F0 & PID_0862 & REV_0105 & MI_01 & Col02'

    DevCon enable 'HID\VID_03F0 & PID_0862 & REV_0105 & MI_01 & Col02'

  • HP Pavilion g7-1365dx: wireless keyboard does not work.

I have a combination and connected mouse microsoft wireless keyboard to my laptop.  The mouse recently 'died' and replace the batteries with new Energizer batteries did not help.  I bought a new Logitech mouse and installed the new USB connector and the mouse worked flawlessly.  However, the wireless keyboard does not work now.  If I reinstall the 'old' or the original USB, the wireless keyboard connector works fine.  The new mouse does not work with the original USB connector.  So now I have two USB connectors that are connected to the computer to make the functional keyboard and mouse.  Is there a solution to eliminate one of the USB connectors?  I realize that the brand of the mouse and keyboard are different.  This is the problem and if so can it be fixed?

    Hi ECJ-10,

Well, you answered your question yourself. They are different products, so you need 2 USB receivers.

The alternative is to get a replacement of microsoft mouse if it is still under warranty, they usually do.

    Hope this helps.

  • 5000 wireless keyboard delay

5000 wireless keyboard has a 2 second or so delay when you type, arrowing down, etc.

    Hello Linda,.

This happens on a single computer or multiple computers?

If it is only on a single machine in this case, then we should download and install the latest drivers and software from the following link:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/hardware/en-us/downloads

If this happens on several computers, then it is most likely that we have problems of material with the keyboard and you will need to contact the material support of replacement.

  • Upgrading from MS done my wireless keyboard work correctly

MS installed an update on my machine, don't know that one right now, but the update resulting caused my (MS Wireless Keyboard 6000 v2) wireless keyboard stop working properly. I replaced the batteries, went through all the basic troubleshooting steps without consistent success. A few things authorized feature intermittent but nothing solved the real problem. The symptoms are: intermittent connectivity, typing errors (IE if I input 0 exit is entered or 0 j out ;) constant output without entry jl (that is, if I get a browser open, sometimes it will boot just out of a string of 1 in the scope of available data).) A few times the mouse failed. But especially the keyboard. Thanks in advance.

  • Mouse and wireless keyboard no longer works

my hp dv6000 laptop came with the mouse and wireless keyboard, and I use them for 2 years with no problems. Today, while typing, the keyboard is not responding, as well as the mouse. the red light on bottom of mouse is on. I tried pressing and holding the Connect button on the receiver; no lights are lit on the receiver. I have replaced the batteries in the keyboard and the mouse. no action has resolved the problem. I restarted my laptop and that didn't help.  I would try to download the driver for the mouse and the wireless keyboard, but I don't know what is the driver. can someone help me. Thank you

MY KEYBOARD WOULD ' T CONNECT AFTER AN UPDATE OF THE SYSTEM. IT WAS DUE TO A ZONE ALARM IN MY SECURITY SOFTWARE THAT PREVENTED CONNECTIONS UNAUTHORIZED WIRELESS. • Wireless keyboard QB355AA: what is the blue button on the bottom of the wireless keyboard for?

I have a new HP Slimline Desktop Product Name 260-a020 products and a wireless mouse and the Keboard product name

    QB355AA.

There is a blue button on the bottom of the wireless keyboard, I ask what is it?

    Thank you

    Dan Littleton

The button is there to allow the coupling with the transceiver wireless desktop.

You will need to use it if the battery in the keyboard is flat and needs to be replaced.

Always keep spare autour for your wireless keyboard batteries.

  • Paved digital Sculpt Microsoft ergonomic Wireless Keyboard For Business stopped type numbers

I use a Sculpt Microsoft ergonomic Wireless Keyboard For Business for 7 months, and last week it stopped being able to enter numbers from the numeric keypad. It works fine when I have num lock off, but when it is turned on, keys other that NUMLOCK, calc, draw back, clear and enter the work stoppage.  Before my last reboot, 5 and more keys on the keyboard acted as key popup when caps lock was on.

I replaced the battery in the keypad, rebooted the machine, moved the USB receiver to a different path and checked the batteries in the keyboard.  I have the latest version of the software Center installed keyboard and mouse.  Nothing new has recently installed through Windows Update except for the virus definitions.

  • Microsoft wireless keyboard will not type the letter 'c' or type the number "3".

My wireless keyboard will not let me type the let type me the letter 'c' or type the number "3". This works sometimes! Help please!

This is a Microsoft wireless keyboard 3000 v2.0. It came with a mouse aswell which is working as expected.

    Any ideas? It's so frustrating!

If you can, try the keyboard on another PC and try a different keyboard on your PC. If the keyboard has the same thing on another PC and another keyboard works well on your PC, it is "side on" hardware failure. Assuming that it is hardware failure, if it is under warranty GET it replaced, it is not you will have to buy a new one.

Please mark this as useful or response if applicable.
