• iPhone 6 error 53 and APPLE DOES NOT REPLACE FIX GOLD!

  I bought my iphone from Apple 6 January 10th, 2015 in Dubai. I dropped my iphone in February and the upper part of the iphone (above the display) got a minute crack. It wasn't any of of replacement in India if I had no choice but to use the iphone and when I tried to update the iphone to iOS9.1 in November 2015 I got an error 53. Apple in India said that they can't fix here and I have to send in Dubai. I had to wait a month to send it to Dubai and finally did. My warranty expires January 11, 2016. When administered at home in dubai now, they say I still owe 1240 aed to get a new phone because my warranty is void if the iphone is broken. BUT the error occurred because I broke my phone (it worked fine for 10 months). I lost all my data because of this error. I don't want apple to fix my screen or anything! I just want what they to correct the error 53 so that I can use my phone, but they will not! and I did not still the iphone for repair off! So it is still under warranty. Please help me. I can't throw all my earnings trying to fix a phone where the fault is on apple. Help, please. Thank you.

  I applied the effect of relief of Bass in Photoshop, because it's easier to recolor her there. I can't open your file again - the link no longer works, but I used a screenshot I did before recreating the images of the two steps below if your file, it is not exactly the same, but when you file was available I copied everything from him, spent in Photoshop, choose file > New and stuck.   Go to the Scripts > load files into stack. Select your two files and load them. Go to Image > canvas size. Anchor images on one side and make the width 200% wider. Use the move tool to place the image in the correct place.

  right now I'm just brainstorming my next art project so I don't really have something specific (which could make it more difficult to answer, but bear with me)

  OK, I'll try again, if I was going to do that in illustrator, I'd have the gold on the top of the page all about a single layer. then on top of that I would have red eyes on a layer. is there a way I can see all the gold but only the gold that will be really visible when I print it? Basically, like when they draw, they print one color at a time, and it's not as if they overlap a lot of layers. can I do like on the screen?

  Looks like you just want to get a glimpse of the separations of colors on the screen. If so, and if you have Acrobat Pro, you can:

  1. save the file as a PDF ready.

  2. open in Acrobat.

  3. Preview separations in the Advanced > PrintProduction > OutputPeview dialogue.

  Understand: "Color Separation" means color that it will send you print individual plates, not the "colours" you used when designing (unless the design is entirely spot). If this is what you want, you can:

  1. Select an object of a particular color.

  2. use the same Select commands in the menu selection.

  3. save the selection. (Select > SaveSelection)

  4 object > hide > selection (leaving the color other visible objects)

  5. the same store selections for each different color. Use the command hide selection on all those who you don't want to see.

• Replaced the cable. Now, the screen does not work. What could be?

  The cable coming out of the back of my monitor Apple Thunderbolt Display is fraying. I decided that rather than risk a short at a certain point, I preemptively replace the cable. On iFixit teardown photos, I decided to replace the cable coming out of the back of the screen myself instead of paying almost $200 to get an Apple service provider to do that here in Bangkok. Bought the cable on AliExpress for $12. It replaced. And... no dice. Screen has not come.

  My setup

  [MacBook Air]-[Thunderbolt Display]-[drive Thunderbolt]-[Cinema Display]

  with a key USB drive and Ethernet connected to the back of the Thunderbolt display

  Already tried this

  • First impressions were that the cable was defective. But then I noticed Ethernet came the USB has been mounted, Thunderbolt was mounted drive and after a reboot, the movie screen come also. Obviously, the cable has been working very well.
  • Second thought was that I'd neglected to plug some cables that connect the LCD to the main logic board. I checked. Seemed fine.
  • Third was maybe the serial number of the cable was somehow connected to the main logic board. So I put the old cable. Still no screen.
  • Tried to connect the screen with a Thunderbolt external cable, everything worked as well but still no image on the screen.
  • Tried more than 30 seconds and 3 hours disconnected as a "reset" of the screen. No change.
  • Restarted my laptop. No change.
  • Thunderbolt Display well plugged the drive and then into the MacBook, so change the sequence of the devices. No change.
  • Information reports under "Thunderbolt" the entire chain of devices, but under "Graphics/displays" system displays only the internal screen and Cinema Display.
  • Using the newly purchased cable as a Thunderbolt external cable works fine too.

  Question

  Does anyone have suggestions on what to try next?

  The logic card goes into a sort of locked mode when you replace the cable?

  Is there more than 3 flat cables connection + connection to the land between the Panel and main Board?

  Although there is no reason to think that this has been, how to test LCD screen still work given all these flat cable connectors?

  
  

  Note: There is no Apple here store.  Apple authorized service providers are without help. He suggested to replace the cable and the Panel at a cost that is almost the same as the purchase of a new screen.

  Some of the cables that connect the LCD to the main logic board, are very short. Careful lifting the LCD, because it will go away with strength cables once that raise you it more than 2 to 3 inches on the side of the camera module.

  The shorter cable of all is the LVDS cable. A short cable with gold plated connector. Although I have had reconnected the cable on the side of the logic board, I had wrongly assumed that the other end of the cable was stayed connected because all the band used on. Someone with experience of fixing these things said of his town for this cable to unravel by force and to be sure to check both ends of the cable. When I peeled back the tape, I found that he had indeed been disconnected.   Apple authorized service providers here in Bangkok have quoted me $200 to replace the cable. I ordered the replacement cable Thunderbolt Display off AliExpress for $12.50. It was really simple to replace the cable, just to keep an eye on this darn LVDS cable opening to the top of the screen!

  I checked out the site of Kingston. It does not seem that they do memory that is guaranteed compatible with your desktop computer. Test Crucial or Corsair. Only buy memory modules compatible guarnteed and replace the memory installed initially by the new modules.

  If you install 4 GB and have a 32-bit operating system, then your operating system will be recocgnize and use @3.25 GB of installed memory.

  If you manage to somehow break the Gold contacts on the bottom of a memory module, then it will stop working and your PC does not start in Windows.

  Ive had an accident that involved the laptop falls on the ground with the headphone jack plugged in. the rest of the laptop seems ok, but put a plug in the socket does not prevent the speakers works and audio coming out it sounds ringing; Looks like the stereo is cancelling which means that something has shorted out.

  not sure I want to open up the laptop immediately; but it seems that catches jack can be replaced. I think that its still under warranty, but the accident was my fault.

  What you can do is to use Google and search if you can find replacement parts but I'm pretty sure it can be quite complicated. Also, the repair is not so easy. You want to do it alone?
  I mean the dismantling procedure is also quite difficult and must / should be done by authorized personnel only. Small error can ends with coins in plastic broken and different media.

  In my opinion you should not do these things. Buy the small Audio USB w/Mic Jack adapter and the problem is solved.

• Photosmart Pro B9180 'Replace due to defective print head' WARNING

  My B9180 gave me the msg "replace the defective print head" after a period of inactivity.  I'm using Snow Leopard on a Mac Pro 10.6.8.  The printer went through several periods of non-use, since I bought it used, but almost nine.  Usually, I experience white lines in my impressions after using the printer, I've always been able to fix by cleaning of the nozzles and/or the print heads, either automatically, or manually.  The last round resulted in the warning "defective printhead" even after repeated manual cleaning.  In fact, the process to put off the printer and back, with and without unplugging it, led to 'replace' warnings for ALL the printheads several times, only 2 print heads a couple of times a moment seems to be giving me just the consistantly 'replace magenta/yellow print head.  The strip of plastic that surrounds the ink nozzles is loose to the point of current on the PH.  My printer is no longer under warranty, but before I spend money on phone support and new print heads, I want to look at other possibilities.  The book says that if the manual cleaning of the printheads does not, HP support should be contacted, suggesting that there could be other possible remedies, before you buy new print heads.   I wouldn't begin to buy new print heads to find that again, they will not work because of some other problem.  I am also concerned by the other warnings of print head, even if they did not intervene now.

  Also, opening lid for cleaning of the PH, I noticed a lot of ink accumulate in 4 coarse foam pads, each in its own little tray located inside the printer on the right side.  some of them were overflowing. / I carefully daubbed a part of the ink with q-tips, but I wonder if this condition could be or cause problems.

  Ideas?

  Finally got tired of waiting on HP.  Expected response Bob during the 'days of Forum' or whatever they called.  My problems with their goods should not have affected them too!

  FYI, I ordered a new printhead magenta/yellow, installed and still had "replace print head faulty warning."  Has released the new printhead, cleaned of some sort of clear, gelatinous * beep * of gold contacts with a q - Tip and reinstalled.  Surprisingly, printer started working.  (Took a lot of time to do her routine 'thump, bump & hum'.)  Don't know how long it will last.

  My next printer will be a Canon or an Epson!

  Out of warranty, replacements and the reuse of the Apple recycling program are two different things. Reuse and recycling program will give you just a gift card from Apple for trading in your old device. The amount given online is only an expected value, but they check it and give you a final value. With the water damage, the value will be much less.

  The elimination of warranty replacements are given to nine units. They will not give you a new in a box. They will be in a brown box and have only the iPhone without any cables, headphones, etc. The price varies from one country to another for the replacement cost of the guarantee, but it is much cheaper than having to pay the total cost for a new brand.

• Satellite 1800-314-replacement of the CD-ROM disc

  We have an old Toshiba Satellite 1800-314 the CD-ROM drive appears to be failing - it often will not recognize a CD, or run the applications of one.

  First of all, the CD-ROM drive is not removable, so the laptop must be open. I'm familiar enough with opening, laptops, but in a hardware store or repair is not currently available, I thought I would ask if there is something to know, such as coins out of condition precedent, when I open the case?

  The fact is that each optical disc drive cannot be used on every laptop. you are right and there is nothing other than the compatibility issue. The assignment of pins is the same for all readers and ratings and because of this, you must use compatible discs only.

  Sorry, but in your case, the answer is probably - no.

  Why?

  I'm guessing the age of your PC, the hard drive is an old legacy IDE form factor.

  Take it out and look at it.  IF she has a double row of small pins on the back, it is IDE.

  New readers, who are the SATA form factor, have two pins with strips plastic gold on them.

  SSDS are SATA, not IDE - which means, they do not connect to the same cables that you use for the hard drive.

  How old is your machine? If you still have your warranty, so why not give your machine to a local service partner?

  So if you don t give something on your guarantee you can trade your coins. But to look for the pieces on google and you won´t get any help from toshiba (e.g. manual disassembly or something similar).

  I tried long before your request and I made my experience that if you want to open your machine your completely on your own.
