Replacement of lost text

All my text replacements are lost (except on my way!) after the upgrade to iOS 10 on my iPhone 5SE.

IS this a bug?

On my iPhone 5SE (before the upgrade to iOS 10), I have several alternate text, for example, thank you very much is tyvm.      Keep up the good work is ggg and many others.

But after upgrading to iOS 10, they are all gone and only the left is omw - on my way!

Interestingly, the shortcut text replacement are always available on my iMac.

How to bring it back on my iPhone 5SE?

  • Replace the selected text with other content TextFrame

    Hello

    I am changing a text selected in something new, involving the movement of text and the paragraph style using a jsx script. At the present time, everything works beautifully:

    • I entered the select text
    • I have create a new temporary TextFrame
    • I build my new paragraphs and apply styles to them in the new TextFrame

    What I was not able to reach still is to replace the original selected text by temporary TextFrame content.

    Any help would be more than welcome

    A part of my script:

    myText = app.selection[0].contents;

    ... do some stuff

    var myDocument = app.documents.item(0);

    var myPage = myDocument.pages.item(0);

    var myTextFrame = myPage.textFrames.add();

    myTextFrame.geometricBounds = [0, -70, 150, 70];

    myTextFrame.contents = "Paragraph1\rParagraph2...";

    myTextFrame.paragraphs[0].appliedParagraphStyle = pStyleGroup.paragraphStyles.itemByName('Style1');

    myTextFrame.paragraphs[1].appliedParagraphStyle = pStyleGroup.paragraphStyles.itemByName('Style2');

    And now, in myTextFrame, I have my new paragraph formatted, and I would like to replace the original selected text with the contents of my TextFrame (keeping the paragraph styles).

        cParaStyle = app.activeDocument.paragraphStyles.item(cElement[1]); // modify if styleGroups present in a structure
      mTarget = mStory.insertionPoints.item(mSourceIdx);
        mTarget.contents = cText;
        mTarget.paragraphs[0].appliedParagraphStyle = cParaStyle;
         }

  • Password protected fields: cursor lost text & several fields protected

    I worked on password protecting the fields, with lots of help from previous messages by George Johnson: http://forums.Adobe.com/message/3314067#3314067

    I'm doing a code request George provided to text fields, in particular, that seems to work very well. I have, however, met with two questions:

    #1: lost the cursor:

    (1.) I click on the text field

    2.), I am invited to a password

    (3.) I enter the password

    (4.) the text field is confirmed to be "disabled".

    Now, I have trouble with actually type in the text field. I can see the field has been disabled, but, once the password is entered, my text cursor is automatically in the field of disabled text. Other times, I can type the incorrect password, click 'ok' and always type in the text field. Strange, Yes? I wonder if it has problem of code or a user number (me). The latter is more likely

    #2: best way to lock/unlock several fields? :

    I have 8-10 domains that could be turned off and typed in. From now on, I think that this code should apply to each text field indivually - which is probably fine. With the form, however, a user may potentially want to type in all these areas protected by Word. Is there a way to just disable all fields of 8 with a single action - and relock then automatically their once typed in? If so, what is a clean way to do this?

    #1 is my priority. #2 is just interesting to explore

    Any help would be appreciated!

    The code you use is intended to be the #2 case that you mentioned in your initial post. In other words, it is supposed to be triggered by a button or a bookmark for lock/unlock field group.

    It seems you're wanting locking (set read-only) a field after the user enters a value, it that right? The problem is that fields that are set to ReadOnly are more interactive, so a mouse-up script cannot be triggered.

  • Replace the JQuery text is all the text in the webapp manufacture

    Hello, I hope someone could give me a hand!

    On this home page: www.largemouthfrog.net I am running a Web application called "Testimonials" which produces a string of words/phrases on the basis of the selected check box. "They come in the page as: < li >... <div class= 'testimony-commentaires1' >awesome! Excellent! really good < /div >... < /li >

    For each < li > there is a separate set of words or phrases separated by a comma.

    I want to remove the comma and replace < br >

    I have the following JQuery (see below) which replaces the comma with < br > BUT it must be the first instance of < li > of

    "<div class= 'testimony-commentaires1" > and it repeats again and again for all other < li > ' s. " In other words:
    "great!, great!, really good" is repeated several times.

    I tried to put the JQuery inside available to the Web application list, but does the same thing.

    < script >

    {$(document) .ready (function ()}

    var str = $(".testimonial-comments1").html () replace (/, / g, '< br / >');

    $(".testimonial-comments1").html (str);

    });;

    < /script >

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Hi Wayne,

    Your code is a bit too simplistic and it fails because it is not really

    loop through all elements of web application and instead, it captures the content of the

    first one defines the rest of them with this content. I have created some

    code that will help you get started. Here it is:

    $(".testimonial-comments1").each (function (index) {var tags_text =

    $(this) .text (); var split_text = tags_text.split(',');

    Console.log (split_text); });

    You can see here http://mgtrain.worldsecuresystems.com/tags

    My class is simply called "label" and my layout of the list looks like this:

    {tag_name}

    {tag_tags}

    Basically, this code creates an array of strings for each iteration.
    All you have to do now is to browse table and Add.
    "to each.

    point, join the elements in a string, then set $(this) .text () of this new

    value.

    That said, I recommend you to build a form UL these options in this

    case. It's a bit more semantic to me.

    I can actually make this my first blog at www.twoblokeswithapostie.com

    See you soon,.

  • Legend of failure to replace the caption text

    Hello

    How would I be able to achieve the following in Captivate 5:

    Location:

    I have an image, a clickbox on it and a text caption requiring the learner to click the clickbox. If someone clicks on the clickbox, a legend of the failure appears.

    I'm looking for:

    Currently, the legend of failure shows for the duration of the slide (3 seconds), then he disappears and returns to the text caption. However, I want the legend of failure to replace the text of the caption completely.

    Can anyone advise me on what I should do?

    Thank you!!

    Hello BettinaK,

    Welcome to the Adobe forums.

    You can set the timing for the legend text in its properties lets say 3 seconds. After 3 seconds, it will disappear.

    Now if the user clicks the clickbox, you will get 'type text of failure here', you can click on it and set the ignition for it, like the rest of the slide.

    Here are the screenshots

    Step 1 > your slide is something like this (I'm sorry to not use any image of the slide)

    Step 2 > now you can set the timing for the text of the legend (click here). Here I put it for only 3 seconds, so it will disappear after 3 seconds

    Step 3 > now click on 'Failure Type here text' and adjust the ignition in his properties as well

    By doin this failure of Type here text appears for the duration that you want and it will take the place of the legend text

    I hope that helps!

  • How to replace a dynamic text object?

    I learned how here how to replace a picture with a similar picture in the same drawings using the miracle of smart objects.

    But what text?

    Let's say you have a Chuck of text in a drawing and you want to change this text with a new text.

    Same principle?

    The only thing, unlike the picture - text are not choosing to replace the files.

    kevin4545 wrote:

    Maybe I should just then add text the old-fashioned way drag a new text box to each new file in this series.

    I just thought it would be nice to reproduce the ease of the dynamic object that I do with images with text.

    If you think about the benefits of smart objects, the main advantage is to allow a pixel or vector image based to be maintained and edited separately. But with layers of text, I'm not sure that the benefits would be almost as useful. You can really be better use of layers of regular text rather than convert them to SOs.

  • Find/replace, highlight found text script

    Hello

    I wrote this script and it works fine. But what I want to do is to go through each word found individually (as in the Find/Replace dialog box with the button "find next").

    This is an excerpt:

    app.findTextPreferences = app.changeTextPreferences = null;
    var what = app.findTextPreferences.findWhat = "ensure";

    app.changeTextPreferences.changeTo = "make" sure;
    var found = app.activeDocument.changeText ();
    If {(found.length = 1)
    Alert (found.length + "instance of"ensuring"changed");
    } else {}
    Alert (found.length + "instances of"ensuring"changed");
    }

    I want the script to each instance of "ensure" my active selection that I can see where they are before I change.

    Thank you

    Hi guys,.

    try this one:

    app.findTextPreferences = app.changeTextPreferences = null;
    app.findTextPreferences.findWhat = "ensure";
    app.changeTextPreferences.changeTo = "make sure";

    var allFounds = app.activeDocument.findText();
    for (var i = 0; i < allFounds.length; i++) {
      var curFound = allFounds[i];
      curFound.select();
      app.layoutWindows[0].zoomPercentage = app.layoutWindows[0].zoomPercentage;
       if(confirm("Do you wish to change this instance?",undefined, "Find/Replace")) {
         curFound.changeText();
      }
    }

    app.findTextPreferences = app.changeTextPreferences = null;

    Disadvantage of the confirm dialog box: there is no exit button.
