replica of folder Bluetooth

Hello

HP Folio 13, Win7 64-bit:

The bluetooth Exchange folder keeps reproducing itself, even if I never use it. What can I do to stop it, and even hide it as a record.

Thank you

Evelyne

Hello

It's weird, I don't see happening on my device, but it could be that you have other nearby bluetooth device and she's trying to transfer the data.

You can try this:

Click on the Start button and type "bluetooth."
Click on the Bluetooth settings
Click on the shared folders tab

Clear the "allow remote devices to browse the shared folder" setting, click apply then ok
Now, remove the bluetooth Exchange folder

Alternatively - if you do not have Bluetooth you can disable which will give you a little more life battery

Click on the Start button and enter in 'network '.
Click on "network and sharing Center."
Click on "change the map settings.
Right click on "Bluetooth network connection" and select "disable."

  • How to remove the phone (bluetooth device) completely from the computer

Original Title - need help with Bluetooth on Windows 8 devices?

I'm trying to remove my phone (Blackberry) to my Bluetooth devices, because it does not work properly (I want to remove the device and then try to connect to it). Removed completely from my phone, I am removing my PC.

I thought that I removed in 8 gain settings menu (in pc settings > devices), and then tried to delete there from there, but when I tried to connect my phone after that, he always says to remove the device from the computer, and then try again.

In addition, the folder bluetooth (empty) for the folder bluetooth of my phone won't disappear in my computer. The phone is not yet listed under devices and printers in Control Panel.

It's an idea.  A few months ago I downloaded Broadcom.com fresh Bluetooth drivers for my laptop Sony VAIO Windows 7 x 64.  Just in case, because I don't use Bluetooth at all so far.   There is a Guide to Broadcom Wireless Bluetooth in my folder Bluetooth in the start menu, maybe you have also.  You could also ask a Sony VAIO support forum, or even to buy the mouse USB cable is cheaper than you can get up to find a solution for your wireless mouse.  No kidding, without cable you'll need a battery.

I think the problem is, as you said, that the previous version was not properly removed. I would setup a tool such as
"ccleaner" (free Internet) and clean your system registry and files. Maybe it works eventually. If not then your system in Mode safe start (press F8 during startup and check your system files again if some battery Bluetooth related files still exists and remove them if necessary)

I do not use a stylus.

I'm typing this reply on a HP Tablet with a BlueTooth keyboard.  For me, it's the only way to seriously type with a Tablet!

It is an ancient Palm (by today's standards) folding BlueTooth keyboard.  Pretty much any BT keyboard which States "compatible Android" should work if you are interested.

  • My Bluetooth Places folder won't go away

When I open 'computer', I see an extra folder next to my normal hard drives and the cd player. This folder has the name "Motorola V9", which is my phone I have last connected to Bluetooth about 2 years ago.  When you switch on the "My Bluetooth Places" label appears. The folder icon has a cell phone and the bluetooth on this symbol. If I try to open it or still right-click, windows Explorer crashes immediately and must be restarted. If I turn on bluetooth on my computer, I can open to reveal an empty folder, but no option to delete or anything else. How can I get this file in order to stop the spread upward?

    Hello

I suggest you follow the steps mentioned below:

    Method 1:

Uninstall software Motorola V9 of programs and features, and check if the problem occurs. Follow the steps in the link:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/uninstall-or-change-a-program

    Method 2:

If the previous step fails, uninstall and reinstall the drivers from Motorola and check if the problem occurs. Follow these steps:

    a. click Start, type Device Manager in the Start Search box and press ENTER.

    b. click continue. The Device Manager dialog box appears.

    c. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click continue.

    d. in r manage devices, right click on the Bluetooth driver, click "Uninstall" and click "OK".

    e. restart your computer and Windows 7 will reinstall all driver Bluetooth automatically.

  • Bluetooth receive files, but in the right folder

I recently bought a Bluetooth USB Medialink adapter and use it to send pictures from my phone to my PC.  One of the configuration options when I installed the device was to specify the location of the Bluetooth Exchange folder, I did.  My understanding is that all files sent to my PC via Bluetooth should find in this folder.  However, the images sent by my phone to the PC do not go in this folder, they will rather in my images.

When the transfer is initialized, I firstly a message in the notification area saying "Bluetooth connection successful.  " Bluetooth device is connected to the 'Transfer of PIM items' service on this computer.   Then I get the message 'Notification of file transfer.  File has been received from device and saved in the C:\Users\JW\Pictures folder", which is not the folder I specified as my Bluetooth Exchange folder.

I contacted the seller of the adapter, but they were unable to help me, so I thought that this could be a Windows problem.  I use Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit on a Dell Inspiron laptop 17-R, and all my software are up to date.

    Thank you

    Hello JWAZ,

  • Bluetooth file in the computer folder

I have a problem with Windows 7. In my 'Computer' folder, I have one strange group called 'Other' with some Bluetooth files. And when I delete or cut, it is still there. I can't even go into this file or even see its properties. I know it started showing when I plugged a phone via bluetooth, and perhaps that has gone wrong somewhere. I tried to go to Device Manager and disable something, but it didn't work. Here is a link how it shows: http://img89.imageshack.us/img89/2844/84244861q.png so, could someone help me with this problem?

A is not a file. It's a Bluetooth device paired with your PC. So be sure that it is present in the devices section in devices and printers.

If it is found, right-click on the Bluetooth icon in the system tray (or notification area) of the bar of tasks-> click Show Bluetooth devices. It will display a list of devices paired with the PC Bluetooth. Make sure that a figure in the list.
  • ITunes media folder location has changed, but it keeps resetting to the default location

    Hello

I changed my iTunes media folder location. My internal drive has two drives (was originally a Fusion player, after a system crash, I had to clean it and install Mac OS from scratch and is no longer read as a reader of fusion, but I agree with it), so one of the discs that I use for the OS itself and the other to store the data. I've changed most of my files application for the storage disk storage. When I change the location of folder of media to iTunes, after reboot, it restores the original file to ~/Music/iTunes/iTunes Media.

    Why does that happen?

If this info can help, I do not have the bluetooth icon in the menu bar, so I removed it by opening bluetooth preferences and unchecked 'see the bluetooth in the menu bar. He disappears. When I restart, it seems once again, it is not happened to Yosemite.

    Thanks in advance.

iTunes will revert to the default locations, if the configured drive is not present when iTunes opens. This happens if the drive is not mounted or asleep...

  • Several bluetooth speakers can be connected iMac bluetooth?

Several bluetooth speakers can be connected to the bluetooth in my iMac?

    Hello darker,

Yes, it's easy to do! All you have to do is open the Apple Audio MIDI setup in your Utilities folder, and then click the sign in lower left of the window to create a multiple output device, choose your internal speakers and your bluetooth speaker (this should be even with your computer) you should see the multiple output device in the right window.  Go into your system preferences > sound and select this multiple output as source of output device. You should hear the sound in both devices.
