Replication - presync before moving to SAN

Compellent support told me that if a replication link is broken, or if the SAN is re-IPed, replication must be installed again from scratch.  Is this the case?  If there is that no point trying presync SAN before you send it to the site of DR.  It's almost hard to believe that the system resends every bit of data if a link fails or if you re - IP of the San.

All the other replication tech I used would rescan, but this does not mean necessarily all data would be returned.

Also, they have never answered this - if I had used replication asynchronous SAN uses separate replays for this or should I use regular reruns?

That's not true, you can certainly pass a SAN and replication continues from where they had left him. Search for Compellent Knowledge Center "CSTA - prepare and pass a Compellent DR Site. Who guides you through the process of RE-IPing, etc..

If you use Async as soon as there is a replay of a volume of replication, it queue which to replicate. There is no separate Replays to achieve this.

  • Do I need to uninstall my printer before moving on to Windows 10?

    I have a new Epson printer XP-320 I just installed.  Do I need to uninstall it, before moving on to Windows 10?

    Also, I have a genealogy program on my computer.  Do I need to uninstall?

    Finally, should I do something with my McAfee Antivirus before installing the Windows 10.

    I currently have Windows 7 Home Premium.

    No, but you should disconnect and all other non-essential programs.

    Task of pre-required

    When you make significant changes to your computer for example updated operating system, you must always back up. See the links to resources on the backup by clicking the link for each version of Windows you are using: Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8/8.1

    • Turn off (preferably uninstall) your Antivirus utility before you perform the upgrade.
    • Reboot several times and try again.
    • Disable the general USB peripherals (for example - smart card reader).
    • If you are using a SCSI drive, make sure you have the drivers available for your storage on a thumdrive device and it is connected. During the installation of Windows 10, click on the advanced custom Option and use the command load driver to load the driver for the SCSI drive. If this does not work and the installer still fails, consider switching to an IDE based hard drive.
    • Do a clean boot, and then try again.
    • If you upgrade to the. ISO file, disconnect from the Internet during the installation, if you are connected in LAN (Ethernet) or wireless, disable both and try the installation again.
    • If you update via Windows Update, when download reaches 100%, disconnect the Internet LAN (Ethernet) or wireless, and proceed with the installation.
    • If this does not work, try using the. ISO file to upgrade if possible.
    • If you are connected to a domain, go to a local account
    • If you have an external equipment, attached to the machine, unplug them (example, game controllers, USB sticks, external hard drive, printers, peripherals not essential).

  • Should I install Vista Ultimate on all computers laptops before moving on to a 3 Windows 7 license three?

    I'm considering the purchase of three laptops for home use and the case I've seen is for three laptops without operating system. I prefer Windows 7 64 - bit Windows 8 and, of course, need a license of user-3. I don't mind if it's Home Basic, Home Premium, professional or ultimate edition, but an 'Upgrade' will work and if not, what would? I have a spare disk Vista Ultimate, which I have not used more than once when I tried the upgrade to XP and didn't like it, so I went back to XP (present under Windows 7 Ultimate for my main PC) Vista has been in the area since then. I hope I did not install Vista Ultimate on all computers laptops before moving on to 3 Windows 7 license, three but I have a feeling vague feeling that I have to do exactly this. You confirm please?

    Original title: clean install on the new laptop

    Just keep in mind that the OEM versions are equipped with the installation media DVD 32-bit or 64-bit (not both as a retail version) and a product key.

    Also the OEM versions are related to the first card of mother/computer it is installed on and cannot be moved to another PC.

    The cost of an OEM version is much cheaper than commercial versions, especially since Microsoft stopped selling Windows 7.

    Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?url=search-alias%3Dsoftware&field-keywords=Windows+7

    As laptops have no OS installed, you need a way to test the system before you try to install an OEM version. I've provided two links to download Windows 7 Home premium (not), but you can install (install without a key) and it allows to test each laptop computer before installing an OEM version.

    ====================== Keyless Install ================================

    How to make a 'Keyless Install"of Windows:

    Boot from the Windows 7 DVD disc, you create and launch the installation.

    After you have entered the user name and password that you will be asked:
    "Type your Windows product key", do not enter a key.
    Also located just below the box where you enter the key is a box with a check mark
    to "Automatically activate Windows when I'm online", remove the check box and click "next".

    You now have a 30-day grace period to activate Windows

    During this 30-day grace period you can try to solve your problems.
    After you are satisfied with all the problems have been resolved and then activate Windows.

    ====================== Device Drivers ===============================

    Go to your computer manufacturer's support web site and search for Windows 7 drivers for your specific model number.

    If there are Windows 7 drivers, then to download to a folder on your hard drive and install all of them, starting with the card drivers mother/chipset, SATA, LAN, Audio, USB, graphics, Webcam, Etc., and so on.

  • On my ipad3 I rectangles blue moving around the screen. Momentarily switches to an article before moving on. Very irritating

    I have an iPad 3. Model MC707B/A. Version 9.3.2 (13F69).

    Blue rectangles are continually moving around the screen from one section to the other. Also a blue stripe sometimes crosses the screen. Has started yesterday for no apparent reason.

    I have tried rebooting with no luck. Helpline Apple could suggest only reset to factory settings. Does anyone have a less radical solution?

    This is one of the accessibility features. It's the switch command. You will need to go into settings > general > accessibility > switch control and turn it off. It is possible, that's what the setting is triple clicking the home button. Try triple clicking again and see if that if he stops, otherwise, use the road that I explained earlier.

  • HP Envy 15-q: I have to disable my Windows product key before moving on to the SSD? (New beginning)

    Was thinking of switching 5400 RPM for the SSD because I feel its too slow way. I was wondering if I need to disable my Windows 10 key before making a new start?

    CasualRisk

    Hello;

    Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

    I read your post on your question of activation of Win10 and wanted to help.

    In Win10, the product key is stored in the motherboard UEFI firmware.  Because you're not change that, you risk to disable.

    In addition, the activation key is stored on servers for Activation of MS, and that information are NOT linked to the HARD or SDD drive you are using.  I can say this because once I got Win10 works as I wanted, I migrated there a disk HARD of a DDI and nothing has changed - except the performance is much improved!

    Good luck
