    Hi gwlco,

Yes, you should go ahead and withdraw the permit or turn off the product before uninstalling the product.

  • Do I need to get all updates to windows on the new VISTA system before moving on to Windows 7?

Hi , I have a brand new 'Pavilion Elite m9300t PC with TV/PVR' always in the zone since the 2008-09-02 (don't ask why, long story). There "Genuine Windows Vista Home Premium (64 bit)" on it.  I bought a software "Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade designed for Windows Vista" (box).  It seems clear that the system accepts the 64-bit Windows Update 7

My question is, when I turn firstly on this machine, I have to spend hours updating the Vista operating system with all the Windows updates until I put in the Windows 7 Upgrade?  Or can I just simply immediately install Windows 7 Premium on the new brand new OS Vista from HP?

I ask because I don't want to spend hours in Vista with Windows Update updates when I have not, before using Windows 7 Upgrade disks.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    TIA,-Paul

    Hello:

No, you don't have to do anything other than the upgrade to Vista.  If you are brave, you are better off getting a clean install and wiping out Vista anyway.  If not simply put in the drive of W7, let an automatic upgrade on place and you're ready to go. You will have enough updates W7 to treat once the PC is upgraded to W7.

  • Existing software on the computer before the change of Windows 10

Where is the security, Norton, Norton Utilities, Microsoft Office software, software print, my income tax software programs, etc.  Should I reinstall all these objects?  What about the data saved on the years of returns on these programs?

    Hi Frankietwodogs :)

The article below, if you upgrade directly from Windows 7 to Windows 10, most of your (compatible) programs, Windows settings and personal files will be preserved, which means that you have nothing to fear.

    http://www.intowindows.com/you-can-upgrade-to-Windows-10-preview-without-losing-installed-programs/

However, just in case, I make a backup of these files and folders primarily (in local and itinerant) program before moving on to Windows 10 when just in time to make it.

  • Back to the previous version of Windows.

When I install Windows Tech Preview, it will erase Windows 8 or keep it in the disk hard where I want to install Windows 8 of my hard drive.

If you install Windows 8 a upgrade, you can use the restore feature.

How to recover / restore your previous version of Windows by using the restore feature

    Points to remember:

Given that Microsoft made available the first version of the preliminary version of Windows 10 in early October 2014, there was a misunderstanding that this is not a product you use to replace a facility for production of Windows such as Windows 8 or 7 or Vista. On the other hand, if you test it on one machine, the best recommendation is to create a partition or have a spare ready hard drive where you can install it. Windows 10 in its current state of the pre-release will expire, and at the same time, it's unfinished work. So if you need to evaluate it, the best way is by installing it next to your commercial installation of Windows.

    Benefits

The benefits of testing 10 Windows on a physical partition or hard disk compared to a Virtual Machine include full access to the material, which includes memory, graphics and input/output of the local disk performance can take full advantage of all the features of the operating system that are not accessible in a virtual environment. The biggest advantage is, you do not lose your production facility in Windows and you can restart it at any time.

    Points to consider before:

Backup your current Windows installation. Because you're going to make changes on your computer, you should always back up before doing so. It is strongly recommended! See the links to resources on the backup by clicking the link for each version of Windows you are using: Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8/8.1
