Report DB using DG and Oracle 12
Hello
I have set up a physical database ensures running Oracle 12 and backups and switch on it will work perfectly.
However, I'm just a 'bit' more.
The backup database must be used for the porposes declaration, too.
As far as I know, a physical standby can be opened for reading, however primary updates are not applied. It is the same for a snapshot.
If I use a logical standby database, I can't use ist as a backup source.
Is this good? Or is there a way to make the deal?
Thank you
Christian
From oracle 11 G, phyiscal relief database can be opened in read-only mode and continue to apply again in the primary, but it requires dataguard active licensing.

The using Excel and Oracle SQL Developer data import - I need help
Dear friends,
I use Oracle SQL Developer 1.5.1 and I need to import an Excel file into a database table. If I try to import this file into XLS format, fields and headers are properly presented and separated, but if I press the button 'Next', it does nothing - it remains stopped.
I did some research here in this forum and it seems to me that when you try to import a file via the XLS format, Developer SQL has bugs. Is this correct?
If I save the same file in the CSV format and try to import the same file, it moves forward, but SQL Developer is not separating headers and fields correctly. It includes all CSV fields into one - say Column0 and fields 1. TEST; 01/01/2000 under the same Column0.
Save the file in the CSV format is not a problem, by taking a little time. But I don't know how to make Developer SQL import correctly. Could someone help me please? Thanks in advance.
Best regards
FranklinThis is a known bug in 1.5.1 so use 1.5.0 to import from Excel.
With respect to the CSV, make sure that you have the right setting in the Preferences - Database - settings of export of genres - delimiter of export custom .Have fun

That is to say. PFRD_Binaries. I guess I should have named that instead of taking the default as_1. At least I would have to have done that. Well. Maybe this story might help the next guy.
Also
NOTE: The Installation screen is not "from" group of patches as in the video where it says
Install Oracle Portal, forms, reports, and discover the Group of hotfixes.
Hi Charlie
I'm a little confused by this feedback. Especially when you say that you see the option "install - do not configure. Should this option is visible only when you run the Basic 11.1.1.2 PFRD the software installer. The Group of hotfixes 11.1.1.4 has his own 'runInstaller'... and this will display what you see in the viewlet. You definitely run the installer from the directory of stage in the Group of hotfixes? (I'll do my own validation test - if I find something strange going on... I'll report.)I now take the following action
1. I will put the Viewlet so it is clear that the Group of hotfixes is staged in a different place from the base 11.1.1.2 media
2. provide that nothing must be running (because at this point, no instance of 11 g of construction has been configured)
3. There's a "slippage" that illustrates the Middleware and Oracle Home entries in the screen "Location of Installation to specify" IEMiddleware homepage: / u01/alca_portal/middleware
Oracle home: PFRD_BinariesHowever, you will see that this slide for 2 seconds (which is an error) and if you miss it probably.
Just FYI - the House of Oracle 11 g correction is in general the same procedure as patching a mid-layer House AS10g i.e
-You set the Oracle Home base using the installation of the basic software program
-You patch the Oracle home using the installation program of the Group of hotfixes -
We are looking at upgrading to a web service to connect to Oracle using the unmanaged to the ODP ODP managed (12 c module 3).
We use tnsnames and have the following configuration in the sqlnet.ora file: NAMES. DIRECTORY_PATH = (TNSNAMES, EZConnect).
The resolver EZConnect is necessary because we use an OracleDependency object for database update notifications.
When moving to the managed driver, a SocketException exception is thrown when you try to open a new connection. Looking at the call stack, I can see that the managed Oracle driver, actually a 'OracleInternal.Network.EZConnect' object, calls System.Net.Dns.GetAddrInfo to get an IP address, but with the alias tns as a parameter. Of course, it fails with this exception "unknown host".
So it seems to me that there is a problem combining tnsnames, ezconnect manned ODP managed!
Someone else who has experienced this and found a solution, or it could be an error in the driver?
This problem seems to have been fixed in the version of 12 c 4.

Forms and reports 11 GR 2 on Oracle Linux 6 Update 3
I'm installing:

Oracle Database 11 g 2 (11.2.0.3.0 Patch 10404530) on OL6
In database instructions, it is said to run the preinstallation of oracle-RDM-server: yum install oracle-RDBMS-server-12cR1-preinstall
Is it possible to start even before installation to Oracle Forms and reports?
Thank you in advance.Hello.
You can, but at least (as far as I can remember) ground package will not be installed as it is required by the reports. Better stick to prerequisites for F & R GR 2 installation manual 11.

Use: OLD and: NEWS in the triggers without oracle for each line
I use Oracle 10 g.
I want to insert a row in the table of the newspaper by each Witch of the query is executed on a table.
And I want to insert on the line at a table of detailed log for each row changed in a query.
I want to add modification date and time for each line in the two tables of the newspaper and I want it to be similar.
So, I'm curious about using old and new variables without using for each row on the creation of the trigger. Is this possible?
Or maybe I can score some variables static for this query (so sysdate will be the same and some of the Pavilion for the insertion of small newspapers)?
Or maybe is there other ways to do it?LeopoldStoch wrote:

Keystore of JKS and Truststore, and Oracle Wallet
I'm configureing Oracle Forms and reports 11 GR 2 incorporating OID/OIM/OAM webgate/webtier. WLS use JKS Keystore and Truststore, and Oracle HTTP Oracle Wallet. I have all of this on a single server. Do I have to keep two of them? I asked a certificate with OWM. It can also be used by JKS Keystore?
What should I do?
Thank you!
HP
Oracle Wallet is used by OHS, while WebLogic uses based JKS keystore.
So if you have the OHS and WebLogic and there is a requirement for SSL, you need both.

ADF set (true) disclose to showDetailItem using javascript and pass event
Hi all
We strive to integrate oracle ADF and Oracle Forms. We use integration javascript to call/interact with oracle forms
Presentation of the ADF:
Activate us or disable the appropriate showdetailitem based on a link.
To enable forms indicating technicality (with id formssd1) and the javascript event passes to the forms, we use the code below
function refreshReport(evt) { var formsLayout = AdfPage.PAGE.findComponentByAbsoluteLocator("pt1:r1:0:formssd1"); if (formsLayout != null) { if (!formsLayout.getDisclosed()) { formsLayout.setDisclosed(true); } } var reportLink = evt.getSource(); var reportID = reportLink.getProperty('reportID'); alert(document.forms_applet); if (document.forms_applet != null) { document.forms_applet.raiseEvent('refresh', reportID); } else { window.setTimeout(invokeReport(reportID), 20000); } }
Problem/question:
The forms showDetailItem is it disclosed (true), it works fine. The javascript event through to the form and the form refreshes the report
If the forms point showDetail is not disclosed, javascript allows the showdetail. But the document.forms_applet attribute is not set.
ADF: 12.1.3
Forms: 11g R2
Can you please let me know, how to reach the attribute (document.forms_applet)?
I was able to solve the issue myself. I used a combination of clientListener and serverListener. I called the "document.forms_applet.raiseEvent" of managed bean and it solved my problem

calculate disk space total used by databases oracle across the company
Hello
If we want to know the number of instances, the number of RAC databases and disk space around total used by oracle (not the size of file system),
1. any script can be run to grid control OEM against all instances/databases?
or
2. we have a unix server that has the entire databases tnsnames, any script that we can run from there?
Thank you very much!!
This is not a difficult task.
What OEM version you have?
(i) connection in OEM
(2) create a Group and add all of the databases in this group
3) go to the "Reports" section in OEM and GO to 'Oracle database space use (group)'
4) click on this link
(5) select the group that you created in the previous step and see the report.
(6) it will show you the TOTAL space, space allocated and free space of all databases in the group together.

In this regard the TABLEEXCLUDE of source.contact_no will provide the desired result?TABLEEXCLUDE clause do not exclude the possibility of using the table in queries in SQLEXEC or anywhere else. Oracle Weblogic server and Oracle Application Server
The Bea weblogic and Oracle application server have been combined in a product-viz Oracle Weblogic server.
Please clarify - because Oracle Application Server is always available as a separate offering
