  • Standard upgrade to a non-genuine Windows XP?

I did a repair on Win XP installation, used one of several legitimate Win XP Professional CD with one of my several XP license keys.
It was after a physical reconstruction, the new disk, the new config.
This version of windows has failed the genuine validation.
I tried a lot of mods of regedit, different keys;  none worked.
Support says Windows XP is not supported, in addition to advice would cost me $99 and I had to upgrade to a new version of Windows.

    Question:
A standard upgrade of Windows will work on a non-genuine Windows XP in base?
It seems that the 'Get Windows Genuine Online' kit is a clean install, I would rather not rebuild my applications and data.

    Hello

Thanks for choosing Windows and thank you for providing an opportunity to help you.

According to the description, you are having problems with the upgrade.

Run the MGAdiag tool; Copy and paste the full report to analyze the problem.

Unfortunately, a standard upgrade of Windows will not work on a non-genuine Windows XP in base.

Answer to us if you are having problems with the upgrade or any other issue of Windows, and we would be happy to help you.

    Good day!

  • Malware 'non-genuine windows' shows and other software (Acronis) not said that this is the evaluation version when it is the paid-up version.

I've been running windows 7 64 bit with SP1 and all the updates that are known for 10 months without any problem.  Now, a 'non-genuine windows' malware appear and other software (Acronis) not said this is the evaluation version when it's the fully paid for version.  What should I do to solve this problem.  Rick Rickard

You must read the user final license agreement and you will find that the OEM licenses have restrictions. You need to understand.

If you want to move windows from one computer to another, you need a full commercial license.
This same problem is again this morning on another computer where he runs a real operating system from microsoft, Windows 7 32 bit SP!, more than 4 months.  Today he says that my win 7 op sys is not authentic.  This computer has been customized built so I was the first to install a sys op on it.

    Hi Carolina,.

Was it a Dell engineer who has reinstalled Windows for you?

In any case, if this is a Dell machine, there will be that a license key joined the PC somewhere, usually on the back, but if it's a laptop, it'll be below.

I bought a laptop computer with non-genuine windows 7. I have the original windows xp product key pro, etc. from the bottom of the laptop, but I do not have the windows xp pro cd.  Help me, please!

You will need to either buy a version authentic retail Windows XP, with its key sales, to a true scource or visit the site of laptop manufacturers, support for your model and see what versions of win are taken care of, then buy a commercial version of this o/s.

The key on the base of the laptop is the recovery key that requires that the recovery disks provided by the manufacturer.

You could phone manufacturers to support to see if they have the origonal recovery cd send you, for which it maybe a small fee.

  • Non-genuine windows, different twist error.

Recently I was making a pop up window saying: I'm not running genuine windows. If I open the system properties and scroll down to the Windows Activation, it shows the product key and says windows is activated. If I click on change product key nothing happens. Yes, I have administrator privileges. I had a shop to do the work some time ago and the key is a key OEM but the report of diagnosis indicates that the key and the used original key. I also tried the site of validation and informed that the two keys are not valid for the country that I am (USA). Here's the MGAdiag report.

Have you installed a new hardware or software since you started facing this problem?

Do you have any software installed record cleaning? If so, uninstall it, registry software is known to tamper with Windows activation technologies.

    What Antivirus utility you installed?

If you have Avast, AVG installed, remove them and move on. They have been known to mess with Activation Technologies.

  • Message "Non-genuine Windows" & Windows Update does not work after replacing the RAM.

    Hello

I have a PC desktop HPE-170 a current running Windows 7 Home Premium SP1, which has been installed on the machine by the store where I bought it. It has been properly activated and has worked very well for 18 months or more.

The other day it decided to not start and a computer savvy friend corrected the problem by removing the RAM memory cards, clean the gold plated connectors and re - insert the. This fixes the problem and it started again.

Today I received a message on the computer of Microsoft saying "your copy of Windows is not genuine" and he invited me to "solve online. Well, click on the 'My Computer' icon showed me that windows was still active.

By clicking on the "solve Online" link took me to a validation page, where after she tried to validation, it says "The Validation failed" and advised me to buy another copy of Windows 7 HP for AUD $149. Gee, thanks, but no thanks Microsoft. I clicked on cancel and the non-genuine message has not yet reappeared.

I also found now that Windows Update doesn't work that way.

I rang MS that says that I need the Windows 7 Setup disk. When I said that I don't have one, they advised me to ring HP. I didn't have time to complete the phone call from HP, but I believe that HP wants me to reset the system to factory with them State guide me by phone.

I have a genuine copy of Windows, a product key, and it shows as activated.  From what I understand the system think that I tried to put my copy of Windows 7 on a new computer or similar? I'm not sure.

Is it really difficult to get the system works just like before?

    Thanks for the reply.

I'm afraid I don't understand your instructions. I think that you are a fair way waiting for me in the issues of tech savvy.

I think I have stumbled upon something here; http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c02219204

Download and update this driver seemed to do Windows Update includes itself.

I can now go here; realwww.microsoft.com/ /validate/ and he says: "Welcome to Windows".

I hope I now get no more fake messages on my OS Windows is non-genuine.

    I'll see what happens tomorrow.

Last update 18/7: seems to be fixed, no more problems.

  • Is it possible to convert a non-genuine Windows XP installation in an authentic on without having to re - install?

original title: Genuine Windows Validation key?
Hello. About 5 years and it ran great until a year ago.
I bought a new Dell laptop and put aside the Acer. I turned now, and
said to install some .dll files. Wounld not start last here. So I got my
hands on a repair disk of windows XP I lost my original disks. Well I guess that the
repair installed a pirated version of windows.
So my question...   Is there a way to convert my pirated windows return key to
the original key on the bottom of the laptop sticker?

    See: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/916247

    Note in the article:

To change the product key, use the Windows product key update tool. To do this, visit the following Microsoft Web site:

To change your Windows XP product key, you use the Windows product key update tool. Before running the tool, read all the instructions to ensure that you understand how the tool works and what information is sent to Microsoft as part of the update process.

No guarantee that it will work for you.
  • notice of non-genuine windows 7

Have an old laptop lenovo and ran the 'factory settings' to load windows 10.  Now he says that he is not genuine windows 7.  I should ask for help, because I do not have the key - or just load vista I have onhand.    I use the laptop to access the internet all at stake, so not a big deal.   The only reason to load windows 10 was to see if I like it.

Windows 7 must be installed and enabled to take advantage of the free upgrade offer.

If you don't have the key, you will need to purchase a full version license 10 new Windows.

If Windows 7 is pre-installed on the laptop, there should a COA sticker attached to the bottom or in the compartment to batteries with the product key.

Enter it and activate Windows 7.

Click Start, right click on computer

    Click on properties

Scroll down to the Windows Activation

Click on the link 'change product key '.

Enter the product key located on the COA sticker attached to the bottom of your laptop or in the battery compartment. Click next to activate via the Internet.

    COA certificate of authenticity:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/howtotell/content.aspx?PG=COA

    ??

What is the certificate of authenticity for Windows?

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/what-is-the-Windows-certificate-of-authenticity

Restart, and then try to upgrade to Windows 10.

  • Unable to update the product key to get rid of the message "non-genuine" windows

you are trying to enter my product key for genuine windows and get the error when you try to change the key: windows cannot access... blah blah. You may not be authorized. The path of the file is windows/system32/slui.exe. As the only person on this account, it seems that there are a lot of files that I can't access make permissions. Any ideas?

    you have two problems.

you use a Dell OEM SLP key on a HP computer. that does not work.
) SLP OEM: this key comes pre-installed in Windows, when it comes to the factory. This key is designed to work with the special instructions isn't on the hardware of this manufacturer. Then, when Windows was installed using the OEM SLP (in factory) Windows 7 key leans on the motherboard and he sees special instructions and activates.
    your second problem is:
    Analysis of file data-->
    [File mismatch: C:\Windows\system32\sppcomapi.dll[6.1.7600.16384], Hr = 0x800b0100
    [File mismatch: C:\Windows\system32\systemcpl.dll[6.1.7600.16384], Hr = 0x800b0100
    [File mismatch: C:\Windows\system32\user32.dll[6.1.7600.16384], Hr = 0x800b0100

I can't help you with that until you get a real installation.
  • Intermittent 'Non-genuine Windows' messages in Win 7 Pro x 64

I have a client with a relatively new (3 months or less) machine that comes up intermittently with WGA notifications saying that their copy of Windows is not genuine.  This happens in the middle of Windows (not at boot time).  Output from the tool MGADiag is as follows:

Your diagnostic report has been produced using a current copy of the Microsoft Genuine Advantage diagnostic tool.

You must activate Windows 7 by using the product key on the COA sticker on the casing of the computer, or inside the battery compartment. Do not use a key obtained using software keys finder.

Select Start, right-click computer, click Properties, select change product key (under Windows Activation) and enter the product key of 25 characters (from the COA sticker). Click Next to activate via the internet. Restart your computer.
