• Definition of wrong answers on a custom quiz

  Hello.

  I'll put together a custom quiz (not not using question slides) and I was wondering how you set the correct/wrong answers. What I've done so far is included all the answers in the quiz (via the statement section), but only set the right answer 'Add altogether '. It seems to work, I get the correct score at the end of the quiz, but looking at my LMS reports that it is counting all responses to 'Correct', even when answers incorrectly.

  No idea if this have to do with the settings of Captivate or LMS?

  The LMS I use is a custom built for the company that I work for the use of a Joomla template.

  In such a case, the first thing we usually is that you publish your module problem SCORM cloud and there's a test to see if it is correctly.

  As you said that your LMS is a custom job created for your business, it is possible that he is not really compatible SCORM.  If your module always behaves in the clouds of SCORM, I would be blaming the problem on your LMS.  If it behaves also hurt in SCORM cloud then you can have a small problem or a certain type of corruption in your module.  In this case, try to create a small sample of project CPTX with one question true/false quiz and see if that will mark correctly.  If so, your project may be damaged.

• Personalized and customized quiz feedback slide menu slide

  Hi all

  I was wondering if anyone can help point me in the right direction as to how I can use Advanced Actions/Variables to produce two things, a slide in menu that displays a check when an article is complete and feedback simple quiz slide that displays a summary of the issues with correct/incorrect.

  I am trying to build a menu so that the learner can go into any unit in any order. When they finish the slides in this unit, they are returned to the Menu slide and a checkmark against that unit. There is an example below to give you the idea.

  I also try to create quiz feedback slide to allow learners to know what questions they got wrong in a quiz. I don't want to use the revision Quiz feature like that shows me the wrong answers and questions. I would like to just a summary slide, as in the example below.

  

  For the course menu, I use some useful posts of Lilybiri and try to adjust his tutorial on dishes customized to the http://kb2.adobe.com/community/publishing/855/cpsid_85530.html to show ticks instead of hide links of the unit. I don't know where to start with the feedback of quiz slide.

  You can ignore this error message. This error message does not indicate a problem with the adapter. The adapter will continue to function correctly.

• You can change the color of the quiz answer radio buttons / checkboxes?

  Captivate v5.5

  I like to use a background image on my quiz slides (see below) and thus answers boxes option and check boxes (which are gey) do not stand out as much as they would on a white background.

  

  I know that I can reduce the parameter Alpha of background or even use a different background, but before we go down this path, is there anyway to change the color of these buttons/boxes or make them stand out more?

  Why don't you simply place a point box culminating or rectangle behind the quiz answer text captions?  Just make it white and set the transparency on this box to be about 50% or more.  The legends of the response text will always be on top.  The area under expected to reduce background noise.  It should only be slightly larger than the area occupied by the text captions.

  Hopefully an easy fix. As you can see on the image, all by examining the quiz the answer appears under slot the next part of the question.

  Is it possible to have a free response, answer and did score in the quiz?  I want the text entry area must be presented in Moodle LMS, but do not want to have a defined response as correct.

  Each LMS is different in the way it handles or displays the SCORM data.

  Captivate modules, send just the data to the LMS SCORM.  What he does with it after that which is determined by the way that the LMS is designed.

  If you want to capture the view of the learner no correct or incorrect answers to validate, try using the questions in the survey.

• Custom Quiz results page mapped for quiz interaction question IDs

  We use 9 Captivate and we want to create a quiz results page customized with five categories (each question in the quiz is tagged with 1-5 interaction IDs) each question in the module will have the points assigned to one of five categories. Each question will be worth 10 points. Each question uses an integrated in multiple choice or reactive quiz question slide. We want the results to calculate and display screen the score of the learner in each category. Thus, for example, if there are three questions in class 1 and I get two right, we want that results screen to view it: category 01:20 / 30.

  In short, we want to create five numeric variables. Each question will be assigned to a variable. Each correct answer should add 10 to the numeric variable. The results screen should display a count of five numeric variables.

  In this case, you have the second approach. Create 5 user variables v_cat1, v_cat2... v_cat5 with a default value of 0. Create a shared action that you can attach to the success events and failure of the glide of the question. It will be something like this (didn't try, little busy at the moment):

  • Expression v_cat1 = v_cat1 + cpQuizInfoLastSlidePointScored
  • Go to the next slide

  Only the v_cat1 variable must be a parameter. When you apply this action to both events of a question, you only have to indicate the correct variable.

  I am creating a quiz that is customized by using the advanced actions and checkbox widget improved Jim.

  Features of the quiz:

  • Three buttons: Try Again, then submit. The Try Again and next buttons are hidden initially.
  • Final score: name of the variable "TotalScore.
  • Attempt to count of each question: variable 'Q1Att' is initially set to 1
  • v_null the value 0

  Three good answers about 5 options:

  • Years1 - name of the variable "varAns1".
  • Years2 - name of the variable "varAns2".
  • Years3 - name of the variable "varAns3".
  • Years4 - name of the variable "varAns4".
  • Years(5) - name of the variable "varAns5".

  Shares advanced on the "submit" button:

  Fixed, got it works, with 3 decisions. My values are different (Dutch), will post screenshots, easier.

  Fundamental difference: I started the variable attempts with 2 as a default value, it was labeled v_number (got that one already in a scratch project) and is decremented by the Try Again button. Have 3 Decisions:

  • For every correct answer, which means that the variables of the checkbox must be checked:
    
    Had to hide the button once again, since he could be included in the second attempt. You see in the phrase why I value '2' for the first attempt, and '1' for the second attempt.
  • Second decision "SecondTry" displays the Try Again button if the condition is met.

  Hoping someone can help with PowerCLI issue?

  I want to set up a script PowerCLI who together share CPU and memory allocated to all VMS in each Resource Pool, add them together and compare them with resource information in the list of resources and those who differ from a CSV output (including how on every property is different).

  The idea is that this script will quickly check through our vast domain for incorrectly configured in the resource pools (ie. those who have not been updated).

  Anyone able to help give advice on how I can get that data into PowerCLI from the pool of resources and the virtual computer?

  I don't know if the values you provide are correct for what is planned.

  Especially the MaxCpuUsage won't say much because this will normally reflect the total amount of CPU resources on the host (provided that the customer has no defined limits).

• Quiz answer shows Blackbox

  I entered answers customized for correct answers and incorrect quiz.  When the preview of the page of the quiz and by selecting a multiple choice answer, only a black box appears (selected response).  In edit mode, the box and the text is displayed correctly.  Why isn't the text being in the response box?

• Boxes of legend custom not displaying correctly

  I created some custom boxes of legend for incorrect / correct quiz questions and they will not display quite right. The 'X' and the 'checkbox' have a few false pixels. I guess that's text, scaling of the larger box because when I drag the larger box it it totally distorts. I have the margins are set in the FCM file so that the text doesn't blow it toward the top of the image? The attached picture shows the legend boxes display properly at the top and those below are how they look in CP.

  I think that what you see is artifacts after the 9 slice scaling kicks in. It will in effect across the images.

  I think if I were in your shoes, I simply give up the bit of text and include it as part of the image itself. Then simply resize the image accordingly.
