Reports6i compilation on Windows and Unix

Hi friends,

I am compiling reports6i on windows by opening the window of the browser online. But my confusion when I run and save the program report, I see that the RDF file extension. I just thought that the executable version is .rep, so I thought I'll see also this type of file. My question is usable program report without the .rep extension file?

    You might find yourself with some wierdness cr/lf depending on how you copied the files on. Generally, I had no problems. Utiltiies conversion exist for incorrect end of line markers and a good editor can solve these problems automatically.

    I prefer to use - for my permanent comments for a practical reason. Once in a while I'll have a Pl/SQL compilation or run-whose location is unknown. The way to solve the problem is to use block comments to eliminate large sections of the code. But if you use / * / in the code, the first * / end block comment, causing compilation new errors and annoying something like

    . . .
/*
  x := 15;
  /* reassign x */ <--will end original block comment above (2nd /* will be ignored as it is commented)
  x := 35;

*/ <--will generate compilation error
. . .

    The code that you have attached should not report an error, so it seems that something has gone wrong with your installation of MathScript. My best guess is that it is the problem that is described in this knowledge base article. Your signature says that you use f3 patch, which is a good start. But the KB lists some other steps to take when you see errors about MathScript, impossible to compile. Can you try the procedure described in the article and let us know if that fixes the problem?

    It depends only on the BONE of the application server.

    If your OS development and OS is different, you have to compile the fmb in the server again.

    Hi all
    I want to migrate my windows about UNIX application. I have created all objects and queue directory native files in windows system and put them in the unix system. If I could use the different user name and application (blank) under unix, but I went with the same as the Windows.
    Now my question is will face I have no problem in the files of the application migration and native directory using LCM in unix?

  • RPD from windows to Unix migration

    I created a RPD on my system windows using an ODBC connection, now when I migrated it to unix that fails because there is no ODBC connection in my unix box
    Here I need help on two things
    (1) is it better to use the connection ODBC or oci when working on unix and windows
    (2) how to create an odbc connection in my unix box

    I will suggest you to use OCI only. Then you'll find no problem on Unix.

    For more information:
    Just transfer the RPD in binary mode from windows to unix via WinSCP or any similar tool, and then restart your server.

  • I have an IMAc running on the latest version of El Capitan. MY blutooth followed pad has a mind of its own - opening windows and text highlighting / deletion.  In addition to this my screen keeps freezing and the spinning ball will appear.

    I don't think that you have respect for those who use Firefox. Do you understand how many of us work for the House and need this platform to work for our COMPANY? I think you play games with users, at our expense.

    So furious that I must try to solve your problems when I have to work. Last night you gave me a message to try to refresh. You said that everything would be saved.

    I TRUSTED YOU. Available on the page at the top has been terrible, and I don't know where my addons went. Still, it seems impractical. but at least my tabs were all there.

    Today, you have LOST ALL MY TABS except the ones pinned. All the windows gone, too. I copied the sqlt places of my old Firefox Desktop data to the new folder AppData profile several times. Never worked. FF just kept coming back to show me the pinned tabs.

    Really, you evaluate these things first? I want to completely delete this useless refresh and come back when things worked.

    Please, take a deep breath. Now:

    There is no way one click to cancel a refresh, but here is a procedure to return to your prior to refresh the data. It takes 5 minutes, but it's perhaps faster than the recovery of individual files and load those into your new profile.

    Check in the folder 'Old data Firefox' update adds a folder with a random semi name on your desktop. If there is only one, that probably has your old settings and Add-ons. If there is more than one, you'll want to work with one who has been updated recently.

    Once you have identified the profile folder, that you want to restore, here is my "old profile resurrection suggested procedure:

    Overview

    Here are the steps described in more detail below:

    1. Create a new Firefox profile
    2. Delete all of this profile folder
    3. Copy in all of the old profile folder

    • button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > troubleshooting information
    • Menu help > troubleshooting information
    • type or paste everything: in the address bar and press Enter

    In the first table, click on the view file"" button. Firefox will launch your new profile folder in Windows Explorer.

    This folder open, switch back to Firefox and get out by using either:

    • "3-bar" menu button > button "power".
    • (menu bar) File > Exit

    Firefox is closed, the profile folder must be front and Center, or you can activate it by using the taskbar.

    Copy old data instead of new

    In this new profile folder you just popped open - NOT the one on your desktop - select all content (you can use Ctrl + a) and delete (you can press Delete on the keyboard).

    Leave this window open, open or switch to your folder of old data of Firefox. Consult your old profile folder. At this level, you should see a folder named bookmarkbackups among other things.

    Select all (Ctrl + a) and copy (or right-click > copy or Ctrl + c).

    Switch to the empty profile folder in another window and paste (or right-click > paste or Ctrl + v). This may take a few minutes because some files are large.

    Launch Firefox

    Firefox should start in this 'new' profile with the old resurrected profile data. Success?

  • I had to reinstall windows and now I need to recover my bookmarks.

    I just reinstalled windows and I lost the bookmarks. I had windows old folder and I read them there. I was not able to get to the app - data and by the time wherever I did, I lost the link to the path, in that these data can be.

    Make sure you remove existing places.sqlite - shm and files temporary places.sqlite - wal.

    I chose option to start Firefox to display my home page. Please see attached screenshot. The homepage is the Mozilla Firefox Start Page. However I tried other sites such as www.cognizant.com, www.cnn.com.

    I also tried to start by selecting a blank page. Always on starting Firefox displays the windows and tabs from last time.

    I also deleted the (renamed) prefs.js file and restarted firefox. This step NOT solved this problem.

    You can check if you have a user.js file in the Firefox profile folder that affects the pref browser.sessionstore.resume_session_once true value.

    The user.js file will be present if you or a other software created this file and normally will not present.

    You can check its contents with a text editor (right click: 'Open with'; do not double-click).
    The user.js file is read whenever Firefox is started and initializes the preferences to the specified value in this file, so the preferences set via user.js can be changed temporarily for the current session.

    You can remove the user.js file if you do not create this file yourself.

    You can use this button to go to the current Firefox profile folder:

    Windows hides certain default file extensions.
    Among them .html and .ini and .js and .txt, and you can see only a file name without file extension.
    You can check the file extension (type) in the file properties in Windows Explorer via the context menu.

    The current version supports the white-space for a text box property and it is possible that the Web site uses spaces: pre instead of spaces: pre wrap.
    The former will prevent Firefox of text wrapping.

    You can check that out in the Inspector via the context menu.
