Request contact form case management process

Users of gDay BC

I have a client who wishes to use BC e-mail that way BC intends it to be used. However, I don't have a good explanation of how this is done.

For example, when a client sends a request for contact form, my customer receives a notification of workflow, which then opens the secured link that takes him directly in the case.

It then uses the response of BC from inside this case area. Then the original customer receives the email responded with a chance to "answer above this line" and start a thread of emails. After that the customer does not respond, the following e-mails occur only in e-mail and without CB customers. Is this normal? I thought all emails would be kept in the database, and a wire will be held which is officially in British Colombia.

Can someone point me to a page that explains the process that intends to make of the BC system to the customer?

I read on the TSA in the knowledgbase BC now, and I see that it has to be configured. I've been wrongly feel that emails from data collected have been setup by default, then he thought mysterious that they were not the fact.

    I use Dreamweaver CS5 and have a couple of contact forms on my website set up. They work fine, but lately have been inundated with spam. For most simple robots automated that waste my time. I don't want to install a captcha configuration.

    What I want is to require that the entries in these two areas of the same (and both be e-mail addresses).

    Also, I wish I had a simple question such as 'what is four plus five' where the user must enter "9" to the form to cross. Or really do anything where I need a specified entry.

    I'm not a person of php or javascript or anything, so if anyone can help me to get this working, I'll probably need very basic and specific info. else loses me. I tried different 'honey pot' methods and nothing seems to work properly.

    Sort of. Client-side means that the script is executed in the browser. Since this can easily be disabled/modified, it is not robust enough for real-world validation. Server-side means that the script is run on the server, making it invisible and much less vulnerable to hackers.

    I guess I don't understand is why is not a product like DW

    to simply manage this sort of thing if they have forms"as part of it of coding.

    You must apply to the product development group. There are an infinite number of ways to process forms, and it's a slippery slope when you start to add some features and let others.

    Yet once again, take a look at formstogo, it'll probably help with your problem.

  • PHP contact form does not work

    I created my page using godaddy but my php contact form does not work.     For the life of me I don't understand why anyone would go through the trouble of ringing these discussions just to get their best to not be useful.  It seems to me that since Dreamweaver allows you to create/write/upload php pages and the whole purpose of Dreamweaver is to create websites, and 80% of web sites using php, looks like a discussion of php in this Dreamweaver forum is quite appropriate!

    But that's just me.

    To my personal goal of trying to be helpful, I want to update this topic:

    The contact form is finally resolved.  I made a contact form with the beautiful shape of Nancy O at: Alt-Web Design & Publishing: Contact form sensitive with 3.2 Bootstrap and PHP (part 1)

    that has saved a lot of time, and I ended up hiring a developer at Fiverr (www.fiverr.com/abd_soft/write-fix-and-correct-your-php-script) which converted my existing script of SMTP mail.  He also created a redirect page slick for me for my old contact.htm page who turned into a contact.php page.  Of course, I've updated my site, but wanted the redirect in case there was some other links out there somewhere.

    I would like to paste the php code to be more useful, but the coding Manager put a copyright on the script that I paid for!

    If you try to install an authenticated SMTP contact form and you are not a developer, all I can say is GOOD LUCK.  I hope that my post is a bit useful.

    With BC it is possible, allowing the CSE (Customer Service ticket), you can set the responsible role to which users should receive emails of presentation and then respond to customers directly from e-mail client used.

    Level responses may be used as the first level with the level of climbing. Enable this, submitting a form creates a case which will then turn into a case of web and will be triggered in the responsible mailboxes of the role. Users of the site (your client) can directly respond to the customer of any e-mail client used by using this method.

    In case you use an external server, you can use any third-party ticketing system and setting on the email address to which notifications are received.

    Currently, with Muse when the form is configured with e-mail. Depositing submission form receives notification of that email email and authors of the communication is included in the subject line, you can use manually send their responses by e-mail.

  • My customer is having a serious problem with the Contact form Widget

    My Client is to have a serious problem with the Contact form Widget that I can't seem to figure out how to fix.

    I created a website for a client and inserted a widget of Contact form on the "Contact us" page Whenever someone uses the form, e-mail receive my client shows my e-mail address as the sender. So when they "meet" the email, the response is sent to me and not the person who sent the original message. This creates a major problem in that I get flooded with answers e-mail while my client's potential customers go without a response.

    When I look at ' Site Manager > email system > Workflow information > e-mail address on the site administration Console, it displays my e-mail information. This is what needs to be changed?  If this is the case, what needs to be placed in this field for the email address of my client receives presents information email senders in the field "from".  My client wants to be able to click on reply and the message sent to the right side. They would be very angry if should be cut and past shippers Correo electronico of the body text on all the contacts they receive.

    Their feeling is that if I can't find a way to make the contact form works as it should, then there is no need for them.

    Looks like you can have your email in places where your customers email should be.

    Here are the places you need to change your e-mail address.

    I always go through each email system and check the e-mail address after you set the default value. I found that it doesn't always change them for some reason any. Note: If you are on a lower to webCommerce plan your list can be shorter than what is shown.

    Make sure that the email you the list of customers is also an email they want in public.

  • Improvement of the contact form

    Hello, I have a contact form work on what will be my new Web site works, but that it's a first attempt is not yet quite right! and I'm not sure how to fix it / if its possible.

    (1) when you click "Send query" without any of the fields filled in, you get a pop-up as shown below (Fig 1), which is nice, but if you specify a name and click on "Send request" it takes you to the page contact_form_handler.php and poster simply errors in plain text, as shown below (photo 2).

    What I would ideally is a pop-up for fields 'emailaddress' and the 'queryquestion' and that it will not not to contact_form_handler.php to show the other errors. This does anyone know why it does this?

    Although I'm a little worried that you can't see my Web site. What browser are you on? I tested it on different PCs on IE, Firefox, Safari and Chrome and all is well, I can see? Stupid question, but you cleared your Cache?

    Yes, the statement must be the first thing in your HTML document, before thetag, it is a statement to the web browser on which version of HTML, the page is written in.

    If not ready browser (not all browsers) meets the other thing on this first line, it will throw all kinds of temper tantrums.

    However, PHP code you are talking, nothing violating the above remarks. PHP is interpreted by the server until the document is issued to the customer (read: browser). The PHP code mentioned, simply assigns values to variables, variables that are use further down in the document.

    For example, the code of a page of the child that uses a model as a .dwt file.

    I think I found the problem. My site is hosted with 123reg, but the email address is with zoho. I need the instructions following, but for 123reg as opposed to godaddy. Any ideas where I can get these? I looked at my 123reg channel, but I do not see where to do that.

    1. If you are hosting is GoDaddy and you form e-mail address is to a non-GoDaddy email account, you will need to activate the 'rare' mail in cPanel. (A similar change may be necessary on other hosting providers).
    1. Access your cPanel on GoDaddy.  This is where you manage your web hosting.
    2. On the main page of cPanel, scroll up to where it says ": Email".
    3. Click on "MX", which is located just below the 'accounts '.  This is the mail server setting.  By default, GoDaddy assume you are using a GoDaddy mail account.
    4. Make sure that the "remote mail server" is enabled.

    By default, GoDaddy assumes that you will welcome your emails via GoDaddy.  If you have configured an e-mail address for your shape in the Muse that isn't an e-mail address hosted GoDaddy, GoDaddy and then do not accept by default. You must give permission to GoDaddy to send a form to what GoDaddy considers that an email "at a distance".

    The shape of the model is just html, it cannot 'do' anything by itself. You need to attach it to a script that can process the sending of the form to the server and send this info to your email.

    Check with your hosting company and check the languages side server available to you (usually the PHP). You can then do a search for "form email - this script language" and get hundreds, if not thousands of different versions of the form processing scripts.

    More hosting companies will also have the Basic scripts processing form, you can use, preload to your hosting account. All you have to do is check their support section to find necessary information to add them to your site. It's usually a very simple 1-2-3 her copy / paste into your page - here - installation type.

    This can be a problem in the settings of your hosting/cPanel as it is the main reason, contact forms are not sent. Apart from that your MX records are correct, there is another hidden in cPanel parameter that affects the email which is the "MX" entrance in cPanel e-mail settings.

    1. Select 'Manage' for "Accommodation" on your product page
    2. Go in cPanel
    3. Scroll down (page 3/4) to the Email (you can see many icons of e-mail in this section)
    4. Select "MX Entry.
    5. New Page loading
    6. In the drop-down list, select the field, problems of e-mail with
    7. Once selected, look at the option button and see which is the default
    8. Make sure you have selected "remote server".
    9. Click Save
    10. Further spread will last from 10 minutes to 2 hours

    I have a question about contact forms - I have a client who needs a form which is huge and requires 25 + custom fields (rental request form). The problem is when the customer receives the e-mail message all custom fields are labeled "Custom" - it is not useful to the customer due to the multiplicity of fields returning similar data. Does anyone know if you can fix it for the shape reflects the answer by e-mail?

    Name labels for custom field in your form. This name is used as the field name in the corresponding enail.

    If you do not see the labels, turn them on in the panels of configuratuon forms.

    There is an easy solution if you use GoDaddy's Web hosting.  Just a warning, this only works if you use GoDaddy Web hosting and forms of the Muse.  This isn't a problem with Muse for as long as it is a setting that needs to be adjusted on all that the host you are using.

    1. Place the shape in the Muse. Make sure to add the correct settings, that is, the e-mail address that will receive the forms.
    2. Next step is to navigate to your cPanel on GoDaddy.  This is where you manage your web hosting.
    3. On the main page of cPanel, scroll up to where it says ": Email".
    4. Click on "MX", which is located just below the 'accounts '.  This is the mail server setting.  By default, GoDaddy assume you are using a GoDaddy mail account.
    5. Make sure "Remote mail server" is checked on and that "Local mail server" is turned off.
    6. Your form should now be functional.

    The problem with the forms of the Muse and GoDaddy is that GoDaddy assumes that you will welcome your emails via GoDaddy.  If you have configured an e-mail address for your shape in the Muse that isn't an e-mail address hosted GoDaddy, GoDaddy and then do not accept by default.
