• vCAC: generate a request for approval of vCO?

  When generating complex workflow IaaS in vCO that sometimes you want to trigger a request for approval in the middle of a flow of work, and not only during the generation of the request.

  This would probably require reminders of vCO in vCAC.

  The integrated workflow of the plugin vCAC has no code to do this. But I don't know it can be done using the REST API.

  Could you give a scenario from end to end of what you want to achieve? I think that what you want can be as simple as creating a user interaction in your workflow (or a branch of your if necessary), then this user input will be automatically converted into a work item (approvals are a specific type of work item) in vCAC. All you need is to use the built-in default vCO or configure your external vCO with advanced Service Designer.

  When I opened a site of video or audio as the NPR media player http://www.npr.org/player/v2/mediaPlayer.html?action=2 & t = 1 & islist = false & id = 370394953 & m = 370394958 & live = 1 I get a request for Adobe Flash Player settings for Local storage. Clicking on accept or decline does not a doggone thing. I don't have the problem with Google Chrome, but I really prefer to use Firefox. I had the problem with other sites next to NPR (National Public Radio All Things Considered). It does not interfere with the download, but there really with the NPR player. My world will not end if you do not resolve the problem, but it would be nice if you could. I live in the Philippines, so that might be a factor.

  Please keep if this is a noob question. But I'm new to vCloud Director. I lived all official documentation to deploy and manage VMware vCloud Director. But not where I found the user topic request for additional resources through the web portal and its approval process. This requires any integration or possible only with vCloud Director himself?

  A licensing system can be accomplished by using the blocking tasks and vCenter Orchestrator. Basically, Orchestrator would listen to tasks to create or clone vApps, as well as the tasks would not go until a manager approves.   I have a 4.2 ACS for AAA. Right now I use this server to authenticate users this connection for all my devices cisco (routers, switches, ASAs, APs) and also to authenticate users for remote access VPN to ASA.

  The problem I have is that VPN users residing on another group in ACS are able to authenticate to log to manage network devices and it is a problem of security. I need the vpn users only being able to authenticate to the vpn and not be able to authenticate to connect to network devices.

  Any ideas? is it possible to separate requests for access radius and vpn connection?

  Hi Fernando,

  Yes it is possible to restrict your users only VPN to VPN - ASA. If you want that they do not have telnet/ssh/http access with other devices in the network, then you can go for NAR (network access restriction).

  The only thing you need to know what we are calling-station-id. I think it's an ip address. You can check this activity and reports > past authentication for VPN users.

  Here are the steps:

  GBA > go to the VPN group > Edit > search for NAR > under Ip based NAR > set the action to "DECLINED" > select the devices (routers/switches) you want to deny access to > put * for the port field and address > click on submit + restart.

  Doing this will of users can connect through vpn and unable to do ssh and telnet.

  Hoping someone can help - I need to create a prompt in a request for answers to allow users to choose a customer - I need this to be similar to a multiple selection in a dashboard command prompt so that the user can type begins by and find the customer what they want. Currently, the only options of answers is to scroll through the entire list or type the value directly. The application is simply posted as a link on a page of dashboard - I'd rather not have to create another page of dashboard if possible.

  Patricia, you try to do this more difficult it must be. Of after what you say, just use value Interaction > Browse the report which lists all the names "begins with Pat. Put "is invited" on the name of the destination report cust column and it will give you the "last step" you are looking for.

  Looks like it's a firefox issue, because that never happened on IE, Safari or Opera on me.

• New version is triggering (or incorporated) a request for access to eBay for credit card / financial information that is entirely inappropriate

  Since the 11.0 update when I go to eBay, it triggers a request inappropriate for information on banking and financial institutions. This request is only in Firefox. I can successfully access eBay to Google Chrome, Apple Safari, and IE. I have a screenshot saved of what is generated. I found ways to navigate, and then the request for information is not triggered, even on other instances of Firefox. (not tabs, real cases)
