Requirements for networking for HA / DRS

How exactly the configuration of the virtual switches and their ports groups, as well as physical NICS on a cluster of ESX servers must be for HA and DRS to work?  All physical servers you need the exact number of groups of ports on the exact same virtual switches connected to the

exactly the same cards NIC physical and with the same policies accurate to team/redunancy and so on?

What are the bare minimum requirements of which must match the network configuration of the ESX servers so that HA / DRS to work?

Thank you

VMware HA strictly require a host "heartbeat" interface

It is usually the Service Console (for ESX) or the (for ESXi) management interface.

HA require seamless networking, so don't forget to use the same network address and the same mask.

VMware DRS is based on vMotion, requiring several things.

Network side, it requires a vmkernel interface (marked as vMotion) enabled.

It is better if it is on another network (physical or VLAN).

Finally, HA and DRS around the virtual computer on other host... So, the network point of view, you must have as homogeneous networks of VM (same VM portgroup label and vSwitch connected to the same physical networks).

I don't have a wireless rounter. So I disable wireless radio on the printer, and the used USB connection between the printer and the computer. Of course, I have internet access on my computer with Time Warner Cable package family (TV, phone, Internet). What to do to connect to my network printer? Thank you

    Hello

Your printer must connect to the internet for your instant subscription of ink work and allow you to enable web services and print your certificate claim code.

The USB connection between the printer and the computer will not allow an internet connection, so you will need to connect to the wireless printer to get an internet connection.

What are the network requirements for the remote server of the Panel?

I tried for awhile now to set up a Control Board.  I can connect to my remote panel of computers from other computers on my local network but nowhere else.

Whenever I use web publishing tool gives me a URL in this format: Http://Computer-Name.Corporate-Name.local:8086 / VI - nom.html apparently it means I have a local DNS server and this URL is meaningless to the public.

When I try to connect with the Operate > Connect to... remote control, I get this error message:

    "Connection to Server remote panel...".
"Connection refused by the server remote control specified: make sure that the LabVIEW Web server is enabled on the specified server.

I got the same error when I tried to host a remote panel from my laptop at home, on my Wi - Fi.  Is there some network settings or firewall I'm not seting?  Would it be my server or the router or the private network?

  • I'm looking for a link to XP SP1 does not require a network connection to install

I'm looking for a link to XP SP1 does not require a network connection to install

Were you recently doing a Clean Install? I ask because you are implying in your installation of Windows XP is in 'gold' or SP0 (i.e., pre - SP1) level. Well sure, automatic updates will not work!
You can use this path to level – says in passing:
Gold XP to XP SP2 to XP SP3.
Note that installing SP1a is TOTALLY USELESS!
    Here are the detailed instructions:

    1. download the installation of SP2, SP3 and IE8 files. I prefer to keep these on a USB key, but this is optional. Here are the links to all the installation of three files:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?ID=28 (for SP2)

    http://www.Microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?ID=24 (for SP3)

    http://www.Microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&ID=43 (for IE8)

And if you wish, download the Setup file of a good anti-virus program. I recommend Avira free Antivirus:

    http://www.Avira.com/en/Avira-free-antivirus

    2. disconnect Internet.

    3. temporarily disable the automatic updates.

    4. install SP2. Restart twice.

5 install the SP3. Restart twice.

6 switch to IE8. Restart twice.

    7 install an Antivirus software.

(What happens very often is that someone has their software antivirus running as they try to install SP3, which often translates into chaos! "This is why it must be done after installing SP3 and IE).

8 make sure that firewall Windows is activated (it should be).

(Now you can physically reconnect to the Internet.)

9 visit Windows Update to download and install only the critical security updates.

10 re - enable automatic updates.

After the back if you need guidance.

    Hello Tazdmx83,

Thanks for posting on Microsoft answers Community Forums.

This problem usually occurs on wireless network connections. I suggest that you turn off any wireless security feature by following the steps below.

    1. click on start and control access panel.

    2. double-click on network connections

    3. right click on the wireless adapter and select Properties.

    4. Select wireless networks, click the name of your wireless network and choose Properties.

    5. in network authentication, select open to disable wireless security.

    6. Please try to connect.

If the problem persists, I suggest that you remove the connection and re-create the wireless network connections. The following Web site can help you on the creation of the wireless connection.

    Hello!

I have problems connecting to my network. I stay in a House (not my own) and I can't connect to the network in this House. When I choose the option 'connect to a network', nothing happens. I followed the instructions to display the "Device Manager" and watch the 'map', and he said:

  • Network configuration required for VIO with VDS integration

You are looking for assistance with the requirements of network for a new installation VIO, I plan.

Requirements, I see that it takes 3 VLAN

    API with 5 IPs

    Management with 18 IPs

    Provider with x IPs

I plan this configuration will be in a network of laboratories. My plan is to use a subnet I can connect to in the laboratory for the vlan API I will need access to the dashboard VIO etc..

For two other VLANs, I was going to use two private ip ranges

My question is, pole management provide connectivity/routing between these 3 VLAN or do you need to configure a router out to route between the 3 VLAN?

    Any help appreciated

Your layout looks ok and should be good.

I don't understand what you mean by 'cluster management provide a connectivity/routing between these 3 VLAN... '. » ? The routing between these VLANS is up to you. VIO didn't need connectivity amongst these VLAN that is to say that they can be separated segments without any L3 L2.

However, must the hosts in the cluster Management, be transmitted to each of these VLANs. See the section "Physical networking" in the little quick start guide more color on the L2/L3 amongst connectivity these VLANS.

Please feel free to expand on your question and provide you with a more precise guidance.

Now on our production VMware MCC cluster ESX 3.5 Update 2 we do not find "vmware-aam" this service but HA and DRS work very well, and the logs in/var/log/vmware/MAA indicate that everything is fine.

  • JetDirect MIO card JetDirect J2556: memory required for?

I want a JetDirect MIO card for an old LaserJet 4 Plus. I was watching a JetDirect J2556. However, I have read that the printer needs 16 MB of memory for the card to operate. Is this true? I read on one website. The site sells memory and maps MIO. I tried to find a PDF or a manual or something HP which specifies the requirements for the card but I had no luck it is.

Devices have usually minimum 16 MB of memory when the functions of duplex and network available and no less than 8 MB for devices with function.

I think that alghough the Jetdirect card may have installed/configured for use with less than 16 MB of memory, but you may experience performance problems if memory is low.

What should I do to resolve this problem and allow full of Windows 7 installation? (my computer is a Compaq Presario V6000).

    Hello

What installation media you are using?

    Method 1:

Error 0 x 80070017 translates "CRC error" which means that the files that are copied from the disc are not making it to the hard drive with the same structure, which means that the 'original' the disk files are modified/changed/corrupted while being copied to the location of the 'destination' on your disk during Setup.

This usually means a bad DVD, or an error reading on the DVD player.

I suggest you follow the link and check.

I found the answer by looking for other sites, it's probably here somewhere as well.  Restart the computer.  During restart, press "F8".  Select Disable Driver Signature Enforcement in the start menu.  This fixed the problem of driver in my case.
