• TMS (driver) reserves of the current CTC of resources for future conferences

  Hi all

  Can someone confirm how the CTC works with TMS regarding the control and booking resources? There are also some questions long to answer...

  From my experience, after you have created a conference TMS is communicating to the CTC.  CTC verifies resources (log messages: "device.query";) "participant.enumerate") and reserves (all the time: since the moment of creation until the Conference ends). This period reservation comes from problems we have with the planning of future conferences (not all logs or statistical).

  Is it possible to control the resources reserved on the CTC? How to enable the CTC to oversubscribe? How do resources reserve TMS - CTC ONLY for the period of time conference planned and not to the creation period time up to the end of the Conference?

  I read in the documentation, that if the MCU is dedicated only for the scheduled conferences, then resources are reserved ONLY for a regular conference time (no this time, it was created). If anyone can confirm?

  How to divide microcontrollers for a group of 3 MCU for scheduled conferences and one for Ad-hoc?

  Without specifying ports content dedicated to the conductor, when a content port is used at a conference, conductor will see that as a video port use when the MCU actually uses a dedicated content port.

  Who does not have a reserve, but it is not the configuration storage, tag paths network, assign network profiles, etc..  There is an option to clone in the GUI that allows to set a name and selecting a group of companies.  The clone keeps everything who had chosen the reservation of the source.

  I was not able to find where that could be exposed and did not have much success in collaboration with VCACEntity type and script object VCACEntityManager.

  Hardly have all done from start to finish.

  Decided to:

  1. use a reserve Base as the "gold reserve".

  2 create a vRO element to contain the reservation Base ID.

  3 linking to a workflow that makes an application/json REST GET data and returns a string variable that contains the response.

  4. create another workflow that calls first and add a Script task that takes a ReservationName and BusinessGroupID (subtenantRefId) input and replaces the output response of the previous workflow with a new output variable.

  5. run a different newly created workflow that takes an input string and passes to booking-service/api/bookings as a POST (serialized).

  In this way, the reserve Base can be changed and when the clone workflow runs, it will be able to take values of gold supply versus providing each of them as inputs.

  I guess I would call it functional... but I still prefer having a direct Plugin API to the reservation service.  Give me a businessGroup.createReservationFromTemplate (reservationTypeObject) and life would be easy.

  We have deployed an environment to test stuff all vCAC 6. We have created groups of tissues, groups of enterprises, the items in the catalog and so on. But we can not create reserves because the menu item is missing (we tried with enough of all the roles that we met).

  Is this something of Bachelor degree (we do not have the license of the company level)?

  OK, with specifications myself here.

  The problem was due to a bug in vCAC6 won't be able to resolv AD groups specified in 'Fabric administrators' for a group of fabric. When we put in the actual AD user names, the missing menu entries appeared.

• How free space on the partition system reserved when the usual FSUTIL USN DELETEJOURNAL command does not work?

  When you try to make the system images, I found that the system reserved (100 MB) partition can be a problem if it has less than 50 MB of free space.  In my case it was after execution of FSUTIL USN DELETEJOURNAL/d/n and 34 MB free disk space is only 40 MB.  I also tried without the flag/n.

  I had just restored the system from an image so I felt comfortable to make new changes.  I deleted the fonts and directories of different language from the startup directory (the directory of fonts took about 10 MB).

  I see a file name {hex 64 bit I think} in the System Volume Information directory, which was 32MB in size.  I tried to remove it but no luck.

  After you remove the fonts, and the other languages, I had a lot of free space to perform the system image.  I'm not comfortable actually using this image, go ahead yet, but I'm looking for someone who might know what is and isn't OK to do with this partition.  I would have done it 150 MB when I installed everything first if I had an idea I was going to suffer like that on a meager 18 MB.

  According to the document, the name of privilege 'virtual machine. Configuration.Change resources' allows you to change the configuration of a set of nodes of virtual machine resources in a given resource pool.

  You can edit or create a new role that disable this privilege.

  Clone the existing role assigned to the administrator of the virtual machine, and then change the cloned role.

  On the privilege, go to the virtual machine > Configuration > uncheck the resource of change

  

  Go to host & clusters, change the role of admin of vm of existing role to the new (cloned role) who does not have access to the resources for change.

  Now the vm admin not able to set up reserves, limit or actions on both the CPU and memory - but the user should always be able to change the number of vCPU or the size of the memory.

  I have two virtual machines in production with CPU and memory settings of reservation applied as shown below. I want to adjust these settings of reservation to "zero" for the CPU and memory on both virtual machines.

  I can make these adjustments while VMS are running, or do I need to power their first?

  Welcome to the community,

  Booking of resources being completely transparent for the customer, i.e. a host function, there is no need to turn off the virtual machines. Basically all settings in are available to be changed in the editable GUI generally without interruption of service comments.

• Definition of reserves on the running JAVA Virtual machines

  I recently came across an overview of VMware performance that had a page essentially recommending reservations memory setting for the running Java virtual machines (see table). We have Java environments and did not have performance problems or complaints so, I doubt that I would implement any changes. However, I am curious to know if it's even a better practical recommendation, I could not put the date on the document so I wanted to see if someone had updated or current information for vSphere 4.X, 5.X environments.

  In General, we only use reservations memory to avoid the overhead administrative and operational increased. If we have never not a necessity, I prefer to use reservations to pool resources rather than granular level VM reservations.

  In my opinion, if you use the reservations are a regularity no exception in your environment, then you can use these rules.  That said, if you don't have no problem, I wouldn't change anything.  I've also linked a new document below.

  As seen in the title, one of the tables in the database that I am trying to extract information from one of its columns is a reserved keyword.

  I am trying to run SQL on Oracle SQL Developer test code.

  The simple code, I'm running is:

  Select number

  of specific_table

  As a result:

  ORA-01747: invalid column, table.column, or user.table.column specification

  01747 00000 - "invalid user.table.column, table.column or column specification.

  Is there some sort of way to get around this?

  PS you need to find the EXACT (creating) the spelling of the column name. Use the DESC or select XXX_TAB_COLUMNS.

• Reservations of the thin disk growing cause SCSI?

• ORA error-40501 impossible Record of reserve for the update or delete.

  I'm testing a new program and get ORA-40501 error-could not reserve Record to update or Delete.
  The database prevents users both a motion trigger and a ' clause ' a query data source, type a»»
  the block property. The query itself works fine, I get the error only when I leave the field that I am trying to update.
  I don't know if this is related, but on a multi byte field, touch I new characters are all displayed one after the other
  in the same byte 1 of the form.
  Update/deletion is not appropriate when you use a prior query?
  I normally don't use queries before, but in this particular program, records that I selected are based on several cursors
  as well as some parameters entered in a previous block, and that's the only way I could think to do. I guess
  It was not a way to use the query data Source Type = Table and be able to make the selection of records I need.

  Since you use "clause of" query as a data source, you will need to manage the insertion, update, lock and delete operations on this datablock. If you need to implement on Insertion, on-Update, on-Lock and the removal of the triggers for that to happen.

  I don't know the query that you put in the data source contains a single table or multiple tables. If you have a single table so better to use as a name of the source table and the data table as the data source name. If it contains more than one table, then you must handle transactions on-... Triggers.

  If you don't want to do all the DML operations on this block then.

  In the trigger lock, simply add NULL;

• API to create flexible reservations in the case of a return to the rear

  Can anyone let me know the API that is used to create the flexible reserve in case scenario of back to back. As I guess that soft booking is created against the command of B2B sale only when the B2B requisition is created. Can we use inv_reservations_pub for the same requirement? or is there an other API that can help this effect?

  In this case, you can use the standard public API to recreate the booking.
  with supply_source_type_id = 17 for external application, supply_source_header_id = requisition_header_id and supply_source_line_id = requisition_line_id.
