  Please open the monitory of activity by going to Applications > utilities on your Mac. You can search any processes with the name of SAFARI COULD HISTO and close it. More detailed instructions can be found here: error with Adobe products: close the following applications.

  Also, make sure you reinstall your CS5.5 disc or direct download. If you use Time Machine or similar backup to restore your programs on your computer reformatted, you may encounter issues. Adobe programs do not correctly migrate due to hidden files permissions.

  Any disk of linux distribution should work to start the host server. There is usually an option for EMERGENCY starting. http://www.SysRescCd.org/Main_Page is also a good record to have on hand. Save it in the data store as well for other maintenance tasks once you are back up and running.

  You should be able to find your data under:

  Username\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles C:\Windows.old\Users\

  Here is my "old profile resurrection suggested procedure:

  Overview

  Here are the steps:

  1. Create a new Firefox profile
  2. Delete all of this profile folder
  3. Copy in all of the old profile folder

  Create a new profile for Firefox (Windows)

  Out of Firefox and start in the profile using Start Manager > Search box (or run):

  firefox.exe -P
  

  Do not delete anything here.

  Note: any time want to switch profiles, exit Firefox and return to this dialog box.

  Click on the button to create a profile and ignore the possibility of changing the location of the folder. Select the new profile from the dialog box, and then start Firefox.

  Open the new profile folder in Windows Explorer

  Firefox in the new profile should look like a new installation of the plant. Open the troubleshooting information page by using either:

  • button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > troubleshooting information
  • Menu help > troubleshooting information

  In the first table, click on the view file"" button. Firefox will launch your new profile folder in Windows Explorer.

  This folder open, switch to Firefox and the output. This will leave this profile open in Windows Explorer folder.

  Copy old data instead of new

  In this new profile folder, select all the content and delete.

• IX2 - dl won't start

  A recently released a single 1gig WD drive my ix2 - dl and replaced with a new red WD drive to 2 giga. Original disc worked fine. New drive will not work. I find myself with a blue and red light flashing again and again. I've cleaned the disc several times; I have reset the ix2 - dl via the reset button of hole of PIN many times; I tried two other disks with the same result. The original drive was ok, but as I don't have all the data recorded in it, I did a CLEAN on her, and now he too will not work in the unit.

  My pro is running slower and slower.

  A major problem is I inherited this from my partner and have been using its identifier. A lot of updates is necessary, but he has forgotten his password.

  I have reistalled my XP Home of authentic CDs and subsequently I was only able to download Windows updates. However, after I received your response referring to download related problem with IE8, MSE Live Essentials. Well, I downloaded MSE, but it cannot download the updates because it fails to update due to internet connection failure.   Really strange, I think that the fact that the system takes an hour to start-up the BIOS or Windows means that it is something wrong with the motherboard. With the little information I have, I think the ROM chip used to store BIOS/UEFI (will) bad. Once you have loaded everything up, it is not necessary that would explain why Windows seems to work ok once you get in the operating system.

  I checked, 2.17 exists since almost 5 months with 10s of thousands of downloads. If there is a problem with the BIOS, you would have heard about it now. Also, nothing in our contact centres suggest abnormal failure due to this BIOS.

  My suggestion is to contact your service team and let's get resolved for you.
