Reset in Captivate 8 quiz

Hello. I have Captivate 8 months ago. How can I get the quiz to rest after the closure of courses the student so they can resume the quiz regardless of their passing or failing?

Do you use an LMS? Check the option "never send RESUME data" in preferences, Quiz, report, where you will find an "Advanced" button

  • Small problem with Captivate 6 quiz...

I wonder if someone could help me with this little problem with Captivate 6 quizes?

I've set up a quiz and disable the playback bar to save screen space

I turn off the button 'next' on the issues because it allows to the learner in order to bypass the unanswered questions (and does not trigger the incomplete caption)

And so I rename the button submit to 'next' - and that's fine, but when the quiz is reviewed there is no 'next' button to navigate between issues

I thought that I might be able to hide the real button following behind the submit button (labeled 'next'), but finds that it is not possible to change the stacking order of buttons issue

So, how can I stop the learner without going through questions without answer AND allow navigation during the review of the quiz?

    Pointers gratefully received

    Simon

Hide the next button (Skip) under the clear button.  When you add a quiz for the Clear key is usually on a higher default stacking order.  But if it isn't, just remove and replace the button 'Clear' and it will be over the next button.  Usually, removal and replacement of the buttons on the quiz questions are the only way to manipulate the stacking order.  It's a pain, but this is easily achievable.

  • Captivate 9: Quiz test - correct answers appear behind others

    Hi all

Hopefully an easy fix. As you can see on the image, all by examining the quiz the answer appears under slot the next part of the question.

It is a question of style "fill in the blank.

Other types of questions, the correct answer will appear on top - it seems possible!

    Any help is appreciated!

    Thank you

    Thanks for the reply.

Fortunately in the meantime I managed to work around the problem, thanks to someone else with a similar problem: Re: Captivate 9 - fill in the Blank consultation Mode - hope this will help others.

I will also report this as a bug.

  • Captivate 8 Quiz prematurely cause ranks Quiz

I have a 48-module created in 8 Captivate and hosted on LMS training program to absorb.

If I check display the Score at the end of the Quiz Quiz results slide is can be browsed to advancing beyond the last content slide.

Once this is done the quiz is classified as having failed and all unanswered quiz questions are classified as not having been completed.

If I hide this slide the participant has no score at the end of the presentation.

How can I do the following:

    1. Enable a learner to skip a question later.
    2. Only allow to the learner AN opportunity to respond to each question
    3. Show only the Quiz result ONLY slide after the learner has attempted all questions
    4. Avoid the current behavior to have prematurely class Quiz if the learner uses the table of contents to accidentally access the last question of the quiz and then go to the Quiz results slide.
    5. Allow to the learner for the quiz to review more normally occurs once they tried ALL the question once.

I searched on this forum for such a question... my apologies if I missed a previous explanation and the satisfaction of pointing me the finger this response.

Please let my know if I can provide any information additional clarifying.

    Thanks in advance... KJR

The only way to allow users to skip questions and come back later for them is to use the submit all have, sorry all your audio comment does not. It is in the name already since all responses are posted only when the user decides that he is ready to submit. In addition, OCD or playback bar navigation is not possible.

My approach to a quiz is different: I do not allow to skip questions. This means prevent navigation during quiz (possible in Quiz preferences). In Captivate 8, where the "Skip" button doubles as a button following during the review, which makes it indispensable, I drag the next under the Clear button button. This work around is more necessary in Captivate 9.  Allow an attempt on the level of question + preventing navigation, means that the user cannot proceed to the next question before submitting the question. You know how to allow for the review.

That the workflow will provide you with all you want, except free navigation. The only other way is to use custom, questions that give you total control--but it's a lot of work.

  • How can I return a variable to Captivate non-quiz to an LMS?

    Hello

I created a reactive business project in Captivate 8. I added not questions quiz or interactions. As the result of a specific button click the user gets a "score". I want to return this score to Moodle. How can I tell Captivate to 'return' value?

    Thank you

    Peter

There is no way to add a 'score' to a variable, sorry. You can have a variable with a number as a value, not a score. It will be never interpreted as a partition if you want to create a SCORM object. All objects that can have a score to send using SCORM or AICC can be found in the Advanced Interaction (F9) Panel, and you won't find any variables.

As to transmit the value stored in a variable, as I mentioned earlier, this depends on the LMS. I've been sending variables to Blackboard, and they were visible, but not as a 'partition But I have no idea if Moodle will do the same. Quiz like cpQuizInfoPointsscored and cpInfoPercentage system variables are read-only. It should be possible if you use JavaScript I suppose, not with the built-in feature of Captivate

Hope that clarifies the situation. I've been blogging on the reporting of custom questions, maybe you will find more details on what I tried to explain here:

  • Captivate Review Quiz button

    Hello everyone

Have created a quiz in Captivate, I'll settle for the user to review quiz if they. (90% success rate so I want to see what questions they got wrong).

I don't want the user to review quiz if they fail (because this will show them the right answers, effectively allowing them to cheat their way through the quiz twice).

If someone could please give me an answer to my question, it would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!

Ok. Well in this case you will need using Variables and advanced Actions.

You cannot selectively DISPLAY the Review Quiz button on the Quiz results slide, and can hide under something other than one of the components of this slide (that's why I suggested using the Retake Quiz button) by default.

You must have a variable of follow-up that record whether the user past the quiz for beginners.  Have this variable set to 0 by default, and 1 on slide enter Quiz slide results (using a conditional action) IF the student passes the course.

If the user clicks the review Quiz button, it will take the learner to the first quiz question and also set a System Variable Captivate following if the user is in view.  You can run a conditional action by slide enter each question quiz to check if the learner is in playback Mode, and whether or not they have passed the quiz before allowing them to post the question quiz in review slide. If they have not passed the test yet, then the conditional action must jump them to a slide that tells them that they must pass the test before trying to see him.

Quite frankly, I'd rather give of the learner 2 or 3 more attempts at the quiz (via a Retake Quiz button) before forcing them to redo everything.

  • Captivate 8 - quiz - keep the button appears when quiz is incorrect; only meant to show when the minimum answers are correct.

I have a quiz 8 Captivate, I have been struggling with - having several questions, but I'll deal with this one first.  Right now, it's the button continue.  It is supposed to only appear when the answers of the quiz are correct (70% to 'continue').  When the answers below the minimum of 70%, the Retake Quiz button, makes however the continue button.  Is there a solution for this?  BTW, the is my button, a smart shape, I did and use it as a button to continue.

The standard button to continue on the Quiz results slide appears always right from the beginning of this slide.  You cannot see towards the end of the time, or show/hide with advanced Actions.  One option that you have is hide it under one of the other buttons (for example the quiz recovery button).  Simply place this right on top of the button continue.  Then the learner can not see until they have passed the quiz or exhausted their attempts.

  • Captivate 8 - Quiz results

Is there a way to make the results of the questionnaire?

For example, to make a 5 question quiz, it will give the person information about each question specifically, they were wrong.

The legends of the success or failure of each slide can be customized to give any information you want to the user. For the MCQ with a correct answer, you can use the advanced response feature that allows you to provide different feedback for each answer choice.

What more do you want? If you want to give this kind of information after all the question slides, you'll need to store each answer in a user variable and create some advanced actions to provide feedback. More work. Look at:

  • Captivate 5 Quiz/Flash overlay problem

    Hi all

I built a quiz/case study assessment. In this quiz, I have documents that I created in Flash (Animation) the learner clicks to expand and closed then answer the question. I put this Flash Animation layer on the very top in the timeline panel, but when I run the quiz and then expand my document, quiz multiple choice (question, answers & submit button) will always appear on the Flash document.

It is my first Captivate 5 project (before that I was building all custom Flash) and Adobe has sure come a long way, but I'd be happy to discuss with the product development team and to iron out some of the features to make it smoother.

Adobe has a team of Captivate pre-release as they do for Flash, AIR, and Flash Builder? I am already in the beta versions and would love to participate in the beta of Captivate.

    See you soon!

    Lee

You are right on the slides of quiz question that all quiz items are by default sitting on the layers above what you add.  It's the way it was designed to work.

Adobe Captivate do has certainly not team pre-release and you get on it by invitation.  If you think you have something to add, you can put your hand upward and maybe they will invite you.

  • Issue area in Captivate 5 quiz review

To test a quiz that I created in Captivate 5, I find that the incorrect and Correct answers in the study area are truncated vertically. How can I get this text appears completely?

The best you can do is use a smaller text font.  The area of review Captivate 4 and 5 is not very configurable.  If you can upgrade to Cp 5.5 it is much improved.

  • Captivate 5 - Quiz fades to black when the file is published

    Hi all

I am using Captivate 5 and I am trying to publish a quiz as an exe, however once it is published and I see - screen screen turns black and nothing happens. I have to interrupt the session.

I also tried to copy and paste the questionnaire into another project and run as a SWF in this project, I joined in and now the entire project crashes.

Do know that if someone else did the experiment - I joined a picture like on the mask of the slides in my quiz, this might be the reason why it crashes?

    Thanks in advance!

  • Change the number of points per question - Captivate 5 Quiz

    Hello

I created a Captivate questionnaire with 25 questions. Questions are drawn at random from a group of 130, and the issues are choice Multiple or more than one answer.

I took the quiz on our Moodle site, but seems to have a problem with the score. Captivate is to give 10 points for each question that is answered correctly. Is it possible to change this to 1 point per good question?

Please let me know if I can provide further information.

    Thank you

You can adjust the number of points awarded for each question on the issue of properties inside Captivate.  The default value is 10 points, but you can set it to any integer.

  • LMS & Captivate 4 Quiz... Output problem

    Hello

We use Captivate 4. We are download Quiz slides in JoomlLMS. The SCORM works very well. Records are updated in the notebook.

    The challenge:

How to leave us after you have completed the quiz. If we close the game window, eventually close the LMS as well.

Any suggestions of expert users would be welcome.

    Best regards

    Fox

Is the lesson that is launched in a new window or in a frame within the LMS window?

If it's a clean window, it would be very strange that closing would also close LMS!
So I guess the lesson is launched in a frameset, Yes?

Whatever it is, how you close the window? If with the Captivate X in the PlayBar, who must call something like parent.window.close... yes? And the parent is the LMS window...

So don't use the CC button and make your own that is different... but what works depends on how he manages the LMS.

Some LMS products will close the window as soon as LMS.terminate is called. Some LMS products expect the lesson window close (in this case, maybe you can use something like history.back() (2) or something?).

I'd say it's more a question for the Group of Joomla. What do expect of the lesson to see that the lesson would end and resume the LMS?

  • Adobe Captivate 4 Quiz (Matching) drop-down list too small font size.

    Hello

We use Adobe Captivate 4.  Quiz (matching).  Exported to SWF format.

The drop-down list the fonts are small. We want to use a larger font in the drop-down list, but couldn't find a way.

    Can anyone help?

    Thank you

    Fox

    Hello

Formatting of the slides in Question of CP is sometimes a pain. I can't give you a correct answer, but it would be great if you filed a feature request to the team to have more control over the styles used in this drop-down list (the link is on the homepage of this forum). If we are many to demand improvements, fine higher up on the priority list.

As you've probably discovered, in the properties of the corresponding drop down lists Question slide you can change font color, the font size not. My correct solution is to choose a font that gives the best result, certain fonts really look bigger than the others. This is not always compatible with the styles in the rest of the film, but I fit all of the text in Question slides to this font.

Regret not to be able to help. Question slides are in the folder, but in SWC format, and I can not open these files, even if I installed Flash CS4. Maybe a Flash-wise guy will appear automatically in to help you.
