Resize and stretch to fit a page of A4

Hello

I have a huge pdf file where each page is a half page a4.

I need to make each page to the size of one page A4, but also stretching everything is on the page to 'fit' the new A4 page instead of having just white extra boarders all around information.

Is this possible?

Kind regards

Nathan

How a PDF car can fit any size paper?

You will find a "fit to paper" * or a "sheet adjustment" * option in the print dialog box.

A Kindle only care about the size of the page, all screen readers it requires just a PDF document containing the tag (if really sensitive) for a better user experience.

* I'm not sure of the correct English translation

    Hello

Last December, I bought a 5530 envy and implemented a wireless connection to my printer.  I used the copy feature to enlarge the Sudoku puzzles from the newspaper to the size of a sheet of paper (which makes them easier to work).  The following procedure worked perfectly for a few weeks:

    1. tap on the screen of the dark printer.

    2. press the copy icon.

    3. tap on settings > > resize > > Fit-to-Page.

    4. press the arrow on the back page.

    5. tap on the option of black ink.

As I said, it worked very well.  However, the same procedure does not work now.  Instead of getting a full Sudoku puzzle page, I get a copy of the puzzle that is a little larger and located on half left of the page about 2 inches from the top of the page and 3 inches from the bottom.  I see two possible explanations:

Theory 1.  Somehow, I screwed up the printing preferences/options for my printer.  I played with these settings trying to solve my problem, but nothing helped.  My current settings are:

    • Orientation: Portrait
    • Paper type: plain
    • Print quality: Normal
    • Pages per sheet: 1
    • Without borders: Off
    • Printon both sides: back on the long edge

2 the theory.  In my view, there may have been a software update of printer somewhere around the time that presents the problems started.  When the resizing feature worked, neither my wife or I remember the white, square icon that allows the user to select the number of copies to print.  We may be wrong, but I think that this feature has been added to the system or I somehow envolked just change my preferences/options.

    Any ideas?

    Hi * MissTeriLynn *,.

I tested my system this morning and it worked... I have no idea why.  I had been 'play' with the settings during the weekend but had only partial success.  I followed your suggestions regarding a software update and determined that my printer is already configured to accept automatic updates.  I guess that of the case and the system now works fine.

    Thanks for your help.

I will report this issue as resolved.

I have two large black areas on each side of my screen. How to resize my screen to fit the screen of my computer? (and yes I tried the button expand) :))

    Hello val2000, welcome.

These games is managed inside of Internet Explorer? If this isn't the case, then I suggest contacting the manufacturer of your computer for the latest pgrahics drivers. If installation of those who does not resolve the problem, then try to change your resolution to one of the following values (depending on the size of your screen):

    1024 x 768
1280 x 800 (wide, common form for laptops)
    1280 x 1024
    1680 x 1050 (widescreen)

    To change your resolution:

    1. click on START
    2. click on "Control Panel."
    3. double click on "display".
    4. click on the tab "settings".
    5. change the resolution on your cursor tab and then click on 'Apply' at the bottom right

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus: fit to Page has stopped working

Adjust the Page setting has stopped working, but the printer will expand again manually.

Copy - settings - resize - adjust α Page stopped working. It allows me to always select the setting, but when I push copy the copy is not expanded.

Copy - settings - resize - Custom still works, but it takes forever to grow something because you have to keep hitting the top or down arrows (you must press the arrow pointing upwards, 100 times to set the printer to enlarge it 200% copying.

I use Fit daily page in my work, but it stopped working about 2 weeks ago and I need to get back to work.

I always put it to adjust to Page when I copy and sometimes it will work, but 95%, it prints the copy without enlargement.

    How can I fix?

    Hey @WG2,

Thanks for getting back to me on this subject. It's honestly the first time I heard about brands of pen on the printer tray, creating a conflict for the adjustment to the copy of the Page in white feature. I will definitely keep in mind for the future.

Regarding the cleaning, the pen delimits the white mile tree windows is supported. Don't use of cleaners containing abrasives, acetone, benzene, or carbon tetrachloride. These substances can damage the printer. Avoid alcohol isopropyl (rubbing alcohol) because it can leave scratches on the glass.

If you use a mild cleaner still does not work remove pen marks, I recommend you contact our Technical Support by phone queue to explore additional options. The Platinum is a non-replaceable part, so if it cannot be cleaned the whole unit replacement may be necessary.

  • A SVG can stretch to fit the width of browser?

I have a bottom panel pinned to the top of my single page site. The Committee was created in Illustrator and copied and pasted on Muse. Try as I might I can't get the full browser width Panel.  I selected the option of resizing and tried "Stretch to the width of the browser" and "Responsive width and height. Fluid width is selected in the properties of the Site. Rectangles created in Muse pictures or color go to full width but not this SVG Panel. I also re-formatted the Panel as a jpg and tried that instead, but still the same problem, more this time "Stretch to the width of the browser" option is grayed out. Jpg attached. Any help appreciated, thanks

Hi Gem24! You will need to place the SVG/JPG in a rectangle and the value 'fill scale. " After that, "Stretch to the width of browser" should be available!

    I hope this helps!

Thank you!  You solved my problem!  I forgot the option 'open with '.  Windows 10 removed my IE and put edge in his place, saying that edge is the new IE, or something to that effect.  I have rarely used IE in any case, prefer Firefox, but some websites need IE to work right.

To sum it all, your instructions to go 'open with' allow me to select 'PDF Vista', which is the program that I have always before when opening a PDF file.  I am so grateful to be able to print things.  This edge print page was pretty lame, useless for me.

  • OfficeJet 5740: Y at - it a Fit - to - Page Scan Option?

When I scanned a form of Government that is located on a sheet of 8.5 "x 11", but has only a 1/4 "left, right, top of page margins and 1/8" margin on the bottom, the preview shows low 1.5"shape and the part of the text on the side cut margins.

I selected the option "Save as PDF."

I could not find a Fit-to-Page or by percentage of reduction options in scanning settings. I found "Letter (8.5 x 11) Portrait" and options "any scanning area.  I tried all of them with the same above result.  The option "Custom scan size" condition to select a width and a length, which would have been 8.5 and 11, the same that had been previously used, specific it so was not tested.

I need all the text on the worksheet to display.

    Hey @Erislandy,

Thanks for getting back to me on this subject. I've experienced with the Officejets Printer Status Report that has no margin on the left side and 't' bars at the top and bottom of the page. The 't' bars are used for alignment. As a result, there are very little margin. In saying this, I'll make you confirm that the page is loaded correctly on the scanner glass.

Place the item with the print side face down on the scanner glass, and then place it according to the guides engraved around the glass. Close the scanner cover.

If you have been loading the page correctly on the glass of the scanner nothing helps, I highly recommend at this time that you contact our Technical Support telephone queue for this problem. Through our hotline, you will be able to do a session remotely with the agent who, with your permission, would allow the agent to go through the process of scanning with you and find out what is happening on your computer. It will be much easier for testing and troubleshooting for this specific problem.

  • 'Fit to Page' does not work with HP PSC 1210

my printer is a HP psc 1210 all-in-one and the button to 'fit to Page' size rarely works to enlarge. Waste paper, she works more often correctly on photographs. Is there some MACRO instruction that will work properly. My computer has the Director of H - P program on it, then change it to late changes (like Google Chrome), the window does not work correctly.

My system is Windows 7, 64-bit

You are running Internet Explorer 8 (IE8), IE9 or IE10?

PS: I would be very surprised to hear that the all-in-one HP PSC 1210 has worked on a Vista computer running IE9, and still less a computer Win7, IE9, IE10, or (God forbid) IE11 Preview!

  • Fit To Page printing error

    Hello Microsoft community.

Some of my business users have experienced a problem with the Fit to Page option when you print a PDF document.

If they click on adjust to Page, the text will wrap and they end up printing blank sheets.

Is there anyway to set good to default Page printing option?

We use Google Chrome as your primary browser.

I am aware of the chrome://plugins and disable Viewer PDF Chrome to work around this problem, but that is only good if everyone has the PDF printer installed, and not everyone does what he needs not necessarily.

Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    Hello Allibaster,

I understand the inconvenience you encountered.

According to the description, some users in your organization have the problem when printing PDF documents. They must select Fit to page whenever they print using Google Chrome.

It seems that the question is limited to Google Chrome. I also suggest to display the query in Google support forums to learn more about the issue.

Make sure that before you add this photo to your project, you go to the preferences (under the Edit on a PC) and uncheck the default scale to the size of the image.

Scaling of artificially reduced image size your photo - no matter how large - the size of your video image, make detailed pans and zooms like your impossible. When it is not checked, your photo will be in full resolution and you will only see a small part of it in the preview window.

That said, don't forget that you work at video resolution, so some details will be lost. (Less so, if you change video high-def). And, of course, don't forget to make your timeline after you have added your pans and zooms to see a better representation of what your final video will look like.

  • Form fields to paste on the new form: pasted fields are resized and rotated.

Form fields to paste on the new form: pasted fields
    are resized and turned.

It started just past this week. I created fields on an expense
form of report and some fields have calculations. The form is current
updated, but I want to use the same fields on the new PDF to maintain the
    calculations.

When I copy the forms of the old PDF and paste to the new PDF, fields
have been squashed horizontally and vertically elongated.

The original PDF is set up in the landscape and therefore the new PDF.

I checked the properties of the fields, and they show a 270 rotation or text
in the field. But nothing I try turn the fields at their own
    orientation.

    Has anyone else seen elsewhere?

Yes, this happens when the rotation of the source and target documents page is not the same.

It is not really a good solution to this problem at the present time, except to re-create one of the files after not rotating, or to re - create the fields.

The font size of header and footer is still low. Last time I looked, I couldn't find a way to replace the default size of 10 others to choose a font that is intrinsically superior to Times New Roman as your default serif font. See: can I possibly enlarge the headers and footers in the "Page layout" menu of Firefox to make bigger it so I can see it better... or is this something I won't have to deal with being so SMALL. I don't check for a complementary solution; You can try looking for one on the Addons site.

As the position on the page, some printers don't allow you to get all the way at the edge of the sheet. If that's the problem, you might be able to fix in the General settings of your system for your printer dialog box. I don't see a way to access of the Mac print dialog (Firefox print dialog screenshots in this article: How to print webpages in Firefox), so that you may find in Control Panel.

If this does not work, there are certain preferences that Firefox stores with names similar to the following. In these environments, 25 = 1/4 inch (the value is divided by 100).

    • Print.printer_BrandX.print_unwriteable_margin_top
    • Print.printer_BrandX.print_edge_top

To modify these, you can use the subject: configuration preferences editor. In a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press ENTER. Click on the button promising to be careful. Then use some of the more unique terms (for example, unwrit or edge) to filter the list.
