  I have the BlackBerry Tour 9630, which I use with Verizon.  Most of the time, I understand all the icons and indicators I've seen, but there are now two that I can't find any explanation for what they mean, nor how to activate their power.  Y at - it a site or a place to get a list of ALL of them?  I have the brochure "tips, tricks and shortcuts", but has no 2 that I'm talking about.

  1. on the top of the screen, near the indicator of e-mail, there are now a yellow ball that looks like the symbol of the Earth-type for internet.  There is a number 1 next to it.  This flag appeared when I tried to navigate to a web page, but was out of service and selected 'ok' when asked if I wanted to "save my request."  So I think that I have 1 saved means ask, but how to do anything on this subject?  I can't find where to delete the application or do nothing this symbol disappears.

  2. once all while talking on the phone, I got the phone to my ear with my shoulder (both hands were busy).  I must have accidentally pushed a button because I heard some type of sound indicating something.  Since then, on the "call" screen that appears when I or during a call, there is a new icon.  It's just to the left of the "speaker" icon.  It's a rectangle with five small diamonds diagonally from the upper left to the lower right through.  What is this average, how at - it get there and how / can I get rid of him?

  It is an icon of the WAP browser. It is also an unopened message.

• BlackBerry Tour 9630 smartphones does not display the name of the caller

  I have a Tour 9630, version sw 5.0.0.732.  When the phone rings, it does not display the name of the caller, their telephone number, although this number is in my address book.  Once I answer the call, the name will be displayed.

  Naturally, I would like to know who is the caller before I answer!  :-)

  I found a few messages, ask something similar, although for different model phones.  Some of them suggest that I have to disable protection for the content... but I can't find it in the options.  Even in the User Guide, it contains instructions (go to Options > Security Options > General settings... but there is no "General settings" on my phone.)

  If anyone knows how to solve this problem, I would be very grateful!

  Options > Security > encryption > include contacts.

  There could be other solutions... Try these:

  1. make sure that you set your own country code to the Phone Dialer screen > Options > smart dialing.
  Set your country code in this format: "+ xx" where xx = country code. Some countries have two or three-digit country Codes. Do not place not the '+' in the entrance of your contact.
  * In the United States, the value of this country as '+ 1' Code and place your local area code in the appropriate box (this normally the default setting in a new BB).

  2. in the same place, change the length of National number for the number of digits corresponding to your country (since some countries have less than 10 as that set by default in the BB). Check out the total numbers, less country code. Do not place not the '+' in the entrance of your contact.
  * For example, some countries have a total number to 8 (more than 3 for the country code). You must enter '8 '.

  I haven't heard of any plans... of course the Tour 9630 is a CDMA network device, so the British company would need to be CDMA...

• Problem of Smartphones blackBerry sync a BlackBerry Tour 9630 to a MacBook Pro

  I just bought a new tour a couple of days, and after reading all these discussions of the forum, I have not been able to sync to my MacBook Pro.  I downloaded PocketMac 4.1.25 and the update of the recommended driver 3.1.3B, but I have not had luck.  The message I get is: "unable to connect to BlackBerry (error 1); jump. "I really need my address book and my iCalendar.

  I see that there is new software that Apple was released in September for users (any idea when in September that comes out, by the way?), but I was assured and reassured by the Verizon rep to help me that I would have no problem to sync to my MacBook.  Is there something I can do until I fix the problem?

  Pocket Mac did not work too well for me, either, so I Google had the beta version of the Blackberry Desktop Mac software and installed it. Not perfect - this is a beta, after all - but it works, and it's better than PocketMac.

  UH... I think that what you're saying is that your BB model number is not one supports your carrier? If Yes, then this is useless. Using a BB on a medium which does not directly support this model number requires some very special stuff so he could work and they are not simple to perform, and they may not always work.   Hi and welcome to the Forums!

  Whenever random strange behaviors creep, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

  Other one - it's a matter of time to get used to. Press and release the BBKey must bring up the menu. Taking the BBKey should show the Ribbon to switch to App. Depressed that the moment was a question for me to get used to it.

  I tried to find the card online. I also spoke with a Sprint representative at my local store. Can I get a larger SDHC card for this phone so she can put more things on it or is it limited to the microSD?

  In my opinion, one of the many Sprint cards announced for the tour mentions the use of cards MicroSD 16 GB and 16GB being a size SDHC, which practically means that the phone is SDHC compatible. Of course, I've not tried it myself, I can't guarantee anything. Here again, that's why he's back!

  HI: Is there a way to delete more than one email on the Tour at the same time?  Removal of 17 emails, one at a time takes too much time so I was wondering if it is possible to select both the emails from 5 to 7 or more and remove as that group?  Thank you; Jon

  Yes, there is a way to do it.  Highlite the first email that you want to remove, and then tap on and hold down the SHIFT key and roll the trackball down.  As it breaks down, it will select every email.  Use the menu to remove, just like you it would remove.

  If you have a little bit of what you want to keep, you need to select the top 5, remove them, then select 9-17.  This will keep 6-8 in your mailbox.
