• Why are there so many duplicates in my music folder?

  I went in my iTunes Media/Music folder to find a song corrupt and noticed that most of my music has been duplicated once or several times.  There is the original song and the other with a '1' or '2' some time after the title.  That's happened?  I guess that I should not worry but I have only approximately 3,500 songs in iTunes, but there are now more than 10,000 files in this folder and duplicates are taking up more than 50 GB.  What can I do about it without screwing up iTunes and how do I keep it doesn't happen?  Thank you.

  One possible approach is to use the file > add folder to library to add the iTunes Media folder, and then everything that is currently in the press kit and is not already connected to the library will be added to it. You can then deduplication.

  iTunes can create duplicates if the same content is added several times from outside the media folder when it is about to make copies of everything that is added to the library, or is added from an external drive that hosts the press kit that was disconnected during the launch of iTunes.

This is a manual process and article fails to explain some of the potential pitfalls such as the lost coast and membership of playlist, or sometimes the same file can be represented by multiple entries in the library as well as a removal and recycling the file will break all the others.

  Use MAJ > view > show items to reproduce exactly to display the duplicates because it is normally a selection more useful. You must manually select all but one of each group to remove. Sort the list by Date added can make easier select appropriate tracks, but it works better when executed immediately after the dupes were created.  If you have several entries in iTunes connected to a same file on the disk hard then don't not send to trash.

  The latest version of the script can put away the dead links as long as there is at least a double live to merge his stats and membership of the playlist and must deal wisely when the same file has been added through multiple paths.

  TestStand uses encodings multibyte code page, that you have defined for the operating system-based. If you are using a code page that requires multibyte characters, you should also make sure that you have the Options of Station-> location-> parameter Regcognize multi-byte characters is enabled.

  On Windows 7, at least, the code page of the operating system setting is located in the control panel "Region and language" in the "Administration" tab where it says "language for non-Unicode programs".

  I am developing a website (my first) and I wish that it displays the same in the major browsers. With Firefox, things are 25% larger that I specify.   My Firefox setting is 100%. I have a screen 1680 x 1050 and I was wondering if Firefox was an adjustment in accordance with the resolution of my screen. I changed the resolution of 1360 x 768, 1280 x 1024, 1280 x 800, 1440 x 900 and even 800 x 600 and got the same result.

  I'm under El Capitan 10.11.4 and iMovie 10.1.1

  I need to make changes to a project, but I want to keep the original at this time. The logical procedure would be to duplicate and work on the copy, so I did. But after right clicking and selecting 'double project' or hit Cmmd + D, nothing happened.

  I thought that I had a problem with the double function so I tried on the other projects and each one of them reproduces very well. The question therefore with this specific project. I tried to restart iMovie, renaming, reboot the system and the problem persists.

  Any ideas of what could happen to this project?

  I don't know why this is happening to this project but a solution would be to create a new project, and then copy everything from the old to the new.

  I like that you can read the information with a photo in the Photos, but it seems that the pictures show captions (Descriptions) in an album or a slideshow.  I'm trying to scan a lot of my photo albums of scanning photos and download them to store and display photos.  Part of the fun of a real photo album is to write and see the legends.  With Photos, I can write it as a description for the information, but do not see in either the application display modes.  According to others, this was possible with iPhoto, but not with pictures.  What is happening with this?  Seems simple enough!  Who do not have the Photos feature?  If it is not, and will not be, what other application can use, Mac or other?
