Response of GUI lag RV130

My RV130 having lag GUI response, regardless of access via LAN, WAN, http and https.

Sometimes there is no response after a while (not an idle question, set on 30-minute timer) and you need to log-in again.

Is this a bug?

These routers are designed to flow, not for the performance of the administration interface, but you should see no time-outs.

what firmware do you use?  You can update or it with the latest firmware reflash?  who update the executable and all system files.

have you watched the summaryto logging or system see if there are ongoing attacks, or high CPU usage?

also is there any switches or other routers in your topology which could have repercussions on this router?

  • Watlow series VI EZ box causes GUI Lag?

    I am having a frustrating with my screws problem I think I have narrowed down to a driver of the Sub - VI. "Read" sub-VI/dll for Zone EZ Watlow controllers seems to provoke my GUI LabVIEW to slow down and trolling. For example, if this Subvi runs and I'm going to go one of the main LabVIEW drop-down menus (file, publishing, display, etc.), they accuse to pull down and switch between them. The LAG covers other GUI operations (clicks, seizure of text, etc.). Any ideas? I've attached screenshots of two screws. I also use an FTDI USB-rs485 with VCP drivers adapter. I tried affecting the performance of the two screws instrument I/O but doesn't seem to help.

    I did just fixed this morning by myself. If he was a "call library function node" which was left by the seller in mode 'run in the UI thread', instead of 'run in any thread '.

  • Thunderbird input lag except in safe mode

    Entry of a message (response or new) lagging behind unless Thunderbird is running in safe mode.

    I used the option to disable all add-ons and reset the toolbars and the problem persists unless Thunderbird is running in safe mode.

    Performance of the Task Manager indicates low CPU, memory and disk usage when the problem occurs.

    I'm using version 38.1.0 on Windows 7, Home Premium with all updates installed.

    The delay does not occur in Internet Explorer or Microsoft Word or other programs.

  • Brooks 0254 controller

    This post is a follow-up after a few discussions on this product of Brooks. See the previous discussion here:

    That day I promised when I get 3 flow regulators (GF80) and the regulator 0254, I'll write about my discoveries.

    The product looks nice, very robust and good quality before with push buttons and big screen. Got it with a serial cable, so I have just connected to my laptop and began testing the system with 3 MFCs connected to the control unit.

    I decided to use the supplied DLL to control the MFC 3 through 0254 unit and also to read the flow, the PVs of MFC.

    I did not provide examples of LabVIEW (plenty of flat sequence structures, too crowded, etc.), but he gave a good idea how to call the DLL, what settings should I use.

    I implemented a LVLIB including the DLL, a public private Action and subVIs engine for these tasks I need for my experience. Next, I made a main VI only to the objective test, I'll run this VI now for several days to see the stability of the communication, etc... I don't have gas connected to flow regulators, so now, I have only test the communication... So far so good. I have attached the zipped project, including the driver of the lvlib and the criterion VI (it is a VI test, I know that it's not too pretty ).

    My experiences so far:

    • To read the actual flow of the values of the 3 MFC takes about 1.5 to 1.6 seconds, so I'll use just a 2 sec of sampling time for DAQ in my actual project (in a separate loop, do not disturb/slow down my cDAQ sampling)
    • When I started to first test of 0254 unit, my GUI became incredibly unresponsive! I took a look at the configuration of the DLL and managed to solve this problem of GUI lag by setting the thread DLL to "any thread" instead of using the user interface of one.
    • If I get later the real flow tests made without problems, I will consider the product as usable. So far, it seems that it will work, fingers crossed

    I have two questions to your code regarding:

    Point 1: I only use the address entered in my configuration, but decided to apply in all cases, as it has been documented in the manual. More likely one would need to add it to the Initialize function, the Identification query command. These units can be apparently used in a multidrop facility where they are chained in some respects. Because the client has already had two RS-232 over Ethernet to RS-232 hub ports, he wouldn't try to implement in this way and in further trouble with the wiring and units, such as multi-point communication debugging usually always committed.

    Point2: If you read the manual it somewhere says that the channel to read a value from a physical channel must be odd, then to write it must be the same.     As Ben mentioned problems, I had some problems initially with this camera and it could actually be someone from the distributor of Brooks here in the Netherlands that has done something with the units (perhaps an upgrade of the firmware) but it was still a few years ago, and my memory about the details is rather blurred now.

    We also examined him to speak the MFC Brooks via their RS-485 interface directly without going through the unit 0254, but which was abandoned subsequently especially because the client had already in another that uses the 0254 and wanted a display to check and manually manipulate the MFC from a software failure.   • VCS slow response in the GUI after X7.1 upgraded

    We recentlty improved our VCS to X7.1 and see the GUI response is very slow.

    We have the box integrated with LDAP for authentication for the admin user. We tried using the box with both local and remote authentication.

    But still the connection time takes about 3 minutes.

    Should check us here to continue further on that. Pls suggest.

    Reboot option will be the last resort.

    I had the same problem with one of my VCS highways after the implementation of LDAP authentication on 7.1.

    I have 6 VCS commands and 4 highways all on the same version of the software and the integration of LDAP in the same environment video and just a box was not happy.

    Cisco suggested I try to factory reset the box and reconfigure but which did not help.

    I eventually found a number of RMA.

  • Lag and slowdown in logical gui 10.2.1

    Mac Pro 2013 6 Core, AU Apollo 8, 8 p, 16Mkii, Octo, logical OS10.11.3, NI Komplete 10.2.1

    Hi all

    Since the updated to 10.2.1. Logic is now slow down considerably at the end of the project. Departures from Gui to run at what seems like 1 frame a second, meters redraws not in time and even time / the meters measure only updated once per second. Only logic exhibits this behavior, all the other apps will work perfectly, and mission control is always smooth.

    I am absolutely not 'push' logic in some way: I use it above all UAD plug-ins for treatment, and they are all treated on UAD sharc chips. Other than soft or that maybe 4 or 5 synths and the occasional waves plug. The CPU is rarely tickled, and yet it performs worse than Logic 9 on SL? That line. It performs worse than an Amiga A1200.

    I've always seen some slowdown since logical X was released, but it seems to have gotten a worse bunch with this last update. I tried fiddling with the IO buffer size and the values of Multithreading. No joy. Still works like a three-legged dog.

    Does anyone have other ideas? I just upgraded already several times, but no amount of power seems to solve this problem.

    SOLVED!

    For some reason known only to the logic, the 10.2.1 update was installed 3 x SSL core controllers. Don't get me wrong, it would be fine and all, but unfortunately I do not have 3 x kernel SSL. Removal of these in the configuration of the controller of correction of the problem.

  • vCenter 6 web gui - host isolation response

    I was looking at the option of isolation of host and then noticed that he not there no "leave it on" option on vcenter 6 web gui (version 6.0.0 2656761). However, "leave it on" option is still available on the client.     AFAIK the "leave it powered on" in c# client is now called as "Disabled" in the Web Client, which means nothing do, don't react not if the host gets isolated.

    You say that you set the value "leave powered we" in c# client and then when you check the settings for the cluster in the Web Client, it displays "Power Off and restart VM?

    If so, no refreshing or reconnect to the web client result by displaying "Disabled" in the web client?

    It's part of the problem - you should be on 10.6.8 to pick up a ton of bug fixes.

    And if you wanted to say 10.7.2, then you need to wait that Apple fix the video card drivers.

    In the meantime, you can try to disable OpenGL drawing to avoid problems in the video drivers.

  • is mail blocking gui after hibernation

    When Thunderbird is open, and the computer goes into hibernation, when he wakes blocks Thunderbird when I press 'Get Messages'.   • 11 Firefox crashes and is lagging after a few minutes. YouTube videos are lag while the sound is normal. Can you help me solve this problem?

    If I restart my browser everthing works very well for at least 5 minutes. When I watch several videos to youtube, the LAG comes back and the video begins to freeze aboud every second for just a fraction of a second. The sound is stil played properly it only affects the graphics...
    After about 10 minutes watching videos, the whole browser gets lag. Sometimes when I type fonts appear only about a second later. Scrolling is also affected. A few minutes later everything is back to normal, but it' not always t like that?

    I don't know what to do, I already rebooted with disabled modules, but I did not notice any difference. My ati graphics card drivers are up to date and I have the problem with firefox, chrome works perfectly.

    The offset is now gone. Removal and reinstallation of the plugins and the deactivation of my modules to speed dial (which is sad cause I like them) fixed. I think that's their function to auto-update the previews leading the video shift.

  • Satellite L670-143 - keyboard LAG but work external keyboard

    Hey all, I recently (3 weeks ago orsomething) bought a new laptop, a Toshiba Satellite l670-143.
    Windows 7 64 bit
    Intel® Core i5 - 430 M processor
    : 2.26 / 2.53 turbo GHz
    level 2: 3 MB cache
    4 096 (2 048 + 2 048) MB of ram
    ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 graphics card

    But this last week ive been keyboard problems. The problem is not always present, but when his present is not weather im play, surf the internet or write an important document.
    I'm not sure at 100% what the problem is, I spent hours trying to understand and to remedy, but nothing seems to help. But when I press a P, I sometimes PPPs. Or when I press a P, it does not appear. It is with all keys. And especially when I type fast. Also, when I pressed the back button, it "lags behind (for a fraction of a second)" every 2 seconds orso. When the problem is not present, the BACKSPACE key is smooth.

    I did a lot of virusscans and did all the registercleanups etc. I made sure that the keys filters and sticky keys are disabled. I checked all drivers updates. When I tried the fix http://keyliner.blogspot.com/2009/11/windows-7-slow-keyboard-response.html nr.1, he disappeared when I rebooted. but the next day, the problem came back and when I redid it, (does what it says + delete the file and recreate) it does not solve the problem. Maybe it was just random chance, I don't know. I turned off the laptop battery to see if she was getting better, he has not.

    To be honest, if an external keyboard is working correctly I think that it s a hardware malfunction and keyboard connected internally. I doubt it of a virus or something else because the same mistake happen on an external keyboard as well.

    In addition to the keyboard there is no special driver, it of a part of Windows so that you can t update the keyboard driver.

    Now in your case I would take with the closest authorized service provider contact. Your laptop is only 3 weeks so it s under warranty. If you communicate with ASP, they can view the workbook, and if you need a new keyboard, the repair is free. :)

  • A lot of lag and beach balls

    I have the mid 2010 macbook pro - 4 GB ram, 2.4 gHz processor intel i5 and only using 175 GB / 320 GB disk sata hard.  This whip sees a lot of lag and spinning of the beach, given balloons to my router probably needs an upgrade, its only a few years and would probably add little ram if possible with this MBP (?).

    Maybe the community has experience and expertise to share on how to improve the speed and efficiency? I caught a few console newspapers from when there was a GAL.  Here are links for the console logs:

    Somewhere in time between the logs and b, I have deleted the DivX file in/Library/Application Support / and uninstalled Virtual Box, which was used to run Windows a few months for a project, but have not used since so a little cleaning it.

    1. the present proceedings is a diagnostic test. It doesn't change anything for the better or worse and therefore, by itself, will not solve the problem. But with the help of the results of the tests, the solution may take a few minutes, instead of hours or days.

    The test works on OS X 10.7 ("Lion") and later versions. I do not recommend running it on older versions of Mac OS X. It will do no harm, but it will not do not much good.

    Do not be put off by the complexity of these instructions. The process is much less complicated than the description. You make the tasks more complicated with the computer all the time.

    2. If you do not already have a current backup, please back up all the data before doing anything else. The backup is needed on the general principle, not because of what anyone in the test procedure. Backup is always a must, and when you encounter any kind of problems with the computer, you can be more than the usual loss of data, if you follow these instructions or risk not.

    There are ways to back up a computer that is not fully functional. Ask if you need advice.

    3 here is instructions to run a UNIX shell script, a type of program. As I wrote above, it doesn't change anything. It does not send or receive data over the network. There is no to generate a report on the State of the computer human readable. This report goes nowhere unless you choose to share it. If you prefer, you can act on it yourself without disclosing the contents for me or someone else.

    You should ask yourself if you can believe me, and if it is safe to run a program at the request of a foreign national. In general, no, he's not sure, and I encourage it.

    If you are not logged as an administrator, you will be prompted for a password. The test will run. It just will not do anything that requires administrator privileges.

    10. the test may take a few minutes to run, depending on the number of files you have and the speed of the computer. A computer that is abnormally slow may take more time to run the test. During execution, a series of lines is displayed in the Terminal window like this:

        Test started
            Part 1 of 4 done at: … sec        …        Part 4 of 4 done at: … sec
        The test results are on the Clipboard.
        Please close this window.

    The intervals between the parties will not be exactly the same, but they give an approximate indication of progress.

    Wait for the final message "Please close this window" appears. If you don't see it in about 15 minutes, the test probably won't be all within a reasonable time. In this case, press the Ctrl + C key combination or the point command to stop it. Then go to the next step. You will have incomplete results, but still something. If you close the window of the Terminal, while the test is still running, the partial results will not be saved and you have to start over.

    11. when the test is completed, or if you have stopped it because it was taking too long, leaving the Terminal. The results have been saved to the Clipboard automatically. They do not appear in the Terminal window. Please do not copy from there. All you have to do is start a response to this comment and then paste it again by pressing Command-V.

    At the top of the results, there will be a line that begins with the words «Start time.» If you do not see that, but rather to see a mass of gibberish, you wait for the message "close this window". Please wait and try again.

  • Console application from a GUI optinal

    I have a single aplication to run a GUI OR a console interface. The GUI of the ICB is used in normal cases by the majority of users.

    If the function is called with a special command line parameter, the program starts as a console application. Otherwise, the GUI is used.

    If I use the framework of the "command line" for the project, console interface works as expected, but in graphical mode, I always a black empty console in the background window.

    If I use the 'project of application' setting the GUI works are planned, but the command line interface is still running in a separate window.

    Right now I use the application project setting because the CMD line interface is less important. When I invoke my project, I use a hose of Windows to transfer the output of the child process window back to the parent to help command line window:

    myProgram.exe | MORE

    It does not work without problems with the dynamic changing command line output buffers because the pipe is flush to the ends of the line. That's why I'm looking for another way.

    • Is it possible to decide weather to launch an application or a console application when running? I guess not...
    • Is it possible to hide the console window when compiled as a console application, but from the GUI of the CVI.
    • Is there another way to archive my goal?

  • Win7 U410 touchpad lag, lag windows

    Hello

    I bought my Windows U410 August 7, 2012. Initially, I got on the topic of basic windows and was very frustrated that none of the functions worked toughpad. I went to an aero theme, and now I am able to use all functions.

    My problem is, however, if I have more than 2 programs open, such as Firefox, a large adobe manual, microsoft word, microsoft powerpoint (office 2007) - the touchpad is terribly, by sometimes 4-5 seconds.

    For example, I put it as my Start menu is hidden on the left side of the screen. When I move my mouse there, it happens quite quickly and with response when no programs are open. However, when the above programs are open, it is lagging so bad. If I have four finger sliding upwards, it takes so long to load desktop computers and switching between them is painful.

    This problem is forbidding me to use this device with efficiency. I tried to use this site to find the drivers and it has many listed and I don't know which ones that I need to update and if this will change anything.

    Note that the programs themselves are working well, it's just using windows between them (aero themes, try using the start menu) lying around. If I am in Word for example and switch to EndNote via Word, it switches instantly. If I try to open end notes via flick four fingers upward or move my mouse to the left of the screen, there is intense lag.

    Any help? I have this computer imaging should be able to manage all programs including the zero offset. I tried to call lenovo support but didn't get any where and have found the experience of any owner of this extremely frustrating product. Any help?

  • Response time of PCI-6602

    Dear users of the forum,

    I use a Counter/Timer OR PCI - 6602 for send TTL signals to another device in our laboratory. I send the signal every ~ 1-5 ms, but this time is not fixed (it depends on some other process that I do in my program of LabVIEW), so I can't use a continuous waveform.

    So, I wrote a short test program to familiarize yourself with the PCI-6602 (see attachment).

    If I send a pulse, it seems I can do this just about every 14 ms (at least this is calculated with the tick counts lag which is not very accurate; but to count the pulses with a meter gives almost as much time). So, it seems that the PCI-6602 has too long a response time for my application!

    Can someone tell me if he made the same comment? Either I use the bad vi/treat the PCI-6602 in the bad sense? If Yes, what should I do to make my small test program and finally my main program faster?

    I have another idea for you to try.  Starting the 6602 being the operation that takes the most time I wrote an example which uses a trigger to start to generate the impulse and puts in place the meter to retriggered.  Basically whenever you issue a start trigger, the meter will generate a pulse.  I then use a digital line on the 6602 to generate this trigger to start (I use PFI0 and Port0/$line0 which is actually the same line in the material).  For the reenclenchee generation, wait until what is not useful, so I replaced it with a 1 ms wait.

    Can you try this and see if it works better for you?
