is mail blocking gui after hibernation

When Thunderbird is open, and the computer goes into hibernation, when he wakes blocks Thunderbird when I press 'Get Messages'. The mailbox is enabled, I get a ringing sound when mail arrives and the pop-up window is displayed, but the popup is empty and no. messages in the main GUI. So I can't get any response to clicking in the GUI or the pop-up window and have close Thunderbird and try again.
This problem has happened after that I'm the most recent upgrade to V 38.2.0.
I use Win7sp1 on mem 8 GB Intel Core i5-3470cpu (64-bit).
I had absolutely no problem with Thunderbird, since I started to use more than 4 years ago, but this last update started this lock problem.

We anticipate that this will be fixed in a week or two with Thunderbird version 38.3.0. Please update this section when you have the updated version

  • Windows Mail blocks - suggestions for a fix?

    Hello
Here's the situation. I have Windows Mail running on a desktop with Windows 7 as my operating system.  When my old computer crashed, I asked the technician to put Windows Mail instead of Windows Live mail on my new computer.

Everything was fine until 2 days ago. Now, Windows Mail blocks whenever I'm doing one of the following things:

-a click or even overview and email from different people sending a particular server
-try to work in offline mode

Everything works well with Windows Mail on my desk.  I don't think that the problem is the server that sends emails, because these emails do not cause a crash when I open with Windows Live Mail on my laptop.

The server emails sent by is on my 'allowed senders' list in Windows Mail.

Any ideas on what is the problem or how to fix it?

The reason why I did not Live Mail on my new desktop computer is because I have more than 10 years of records organized of all the emails I received.  I was afraid to lose this info during the upgrade or passing.  I also find very confusing to use Windows Live Mail on my laptop.

Another question... I could download Windows Live Mail on my desk and run in addition to Windows Mail, without losing everything that I have stored in Windows Mail?

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
    Sue

Not sure if it's too late, but I had the same problem and found a workaround.

Specific messages were originally the crash - not everyone, only some. After some trial and error, I discovered the problem - by displaying the message in HTML format can cause a malfunction. I don't know what specific problem in the message causes the crash, but I found that switching to plain text resolved the problem.

Switch to plain text turns off display HTML messages. You lose some formatting and images, but it does not crash, and that's what I found most critical. If you really want the screen, Windows Mail appears to include the HTML code as an attachment you want to open in another browser. I was able to do this successfully.

Here's how to change plain text:

    1. in Windows Mail, select the Tools menu.
    2. Select the submenu Options. You will see a dialog box.
    3. Select the playback tab.
    4. check the option "read all messages in plain text.
    5. click on OK

You should be good to go!

I always intend on the study of other e-mail clients - Windows Mail is not supported for Windows 7 and I like either Live Mail. If all goes well, that you pass the problem while you other research programs.

  • Satellite Pro L300 will not connect to Wifi after hibernation

    Hello

can someone there help me please?
I have a Satellite Pro L300 and it does not connect to Wifi after hibernation.

The only way to do it is to restart the pc.

    Any suggestions?

    Hello!

I m using a Satellite L300, which should be similar to yours and I peut t noticed this problem. WiFi works perfectly without any problems.

In any case, I would recommend updating the driver WLAN and the BIOS. The two you can find on the Toshiba site:
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com-online decision-making supported Downloads & => Download drivers

In addition, you run the factory settings or you have installed a different version of Windows?

    Good bye

  • Satellite Pro A210 - keyboard and touchpad stop working after hibernation

I installed Windows 7 (32 bit) on my Satellite Pro A210 and have a similar problem. When it starts OK but after hibernation the keyboard and touchpad stop working after 3 minutes. The only way to fix it is a re-boot of the force.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Hello

You have installed all the drivers for your laptop? I mean especially the chipset driver.
    Check this box!

If you have yellow exclamation points in Device Manager, you must install all the missing drivers.

Last but not least don't forget to install all Windows 7 updates available that you can get thorugh Windows Update.

Sorry, but that's all I can say at the moment

  • Satellite M70-148 - power on problem after hibernation

    Hello:
Sometimes, I have a problem I can not turn on after hibernation. The fan starts, but the computer does not start again. I can only turn off again by pressing the button for a few seconds. When I remove my power cord and press the power button, I am able to start up. I can solve this?

I've been on the internet looking for a solution and found this description of the problem, which is exactly what I have, but unfortunately there is no solution.

    "
I'll explain the problem in detail, right after hibernation or standby IF you press power button / stop it goes blue led fan starts, HD led lights, led battery, power adapter led (if its connected) and a cd player make it sound as if he looking for a CD, and THEN stopped fan HD led turns off, no sound from CD, leaves u with button only works / stop led on, a pretty frustrating blue

After waiting, u eventually gave up, turn it off by prolonged pressure on the button / stop and then no matter wut u do, simply starts only even the sounds and the leds as mentioned above, nothing on the screen as if its dead! No logo, no nothing.

Give him a time (about 15 min with battery connected, or 5 minutes or less with the battery) press the button, IT U - GO, works perfectly!

same case with the judgment but not always as put into hibernation and sleep (but once made wake-up from standby mode!), but most of the time after the judgment, you have to wait 15 min!

No memory connected USB flash or something else!

I have installed winXP pro SP2 above and installed the drivers and the Microsoft HOT fixes too, but the problem remains.

I also made recovery from the CD of restoration which follows, also not good!

I noticed that if you disconnected the battery the appliance needs less time to wake or boot. about 5 min.

what kills me, is that the device works perfectly and I love it! I've had this problem with her!

So what I need to know is the following: is there anyway to weather course if it's a hardware or software problem?

its not easy to go to service local cuz its in another city! I need to try first what it takes to fix it on my own!
    "

    Thank you for your time!

Well, there's not much to do. You have some many possibilities. Check your installed BIOS version and compare it with the version on the Toshiba site.
If there is a newer version so you can try to update the BIOS. But please be careful.

  • Touchpad stops working after hibernation on Satellite M40

My laptop M40 has just started having a problem with the Touchpad is, after hibernation the touchpad does not work. plug an external mouse works, I tried to disable and re activation via the control panel but it doesn't help. Switch off and then again on fact fis the Thinkpad, someone has seen this before?

You said that this problem started now. It seems therefore that this issue was not present in the past. Am I wrong?
So, if I m right then it looks more like a problem of software like a hardware problem.

Usually, the first step should be a new touchpad driver installation. Then you might try to update the Windows XP operating system to the last State. You must use the Microsoft Update page to get all the fixes.

Then download and install the tool called CCleaner. Its free and it s very useful to clean the operating system and the registry.

If this is not enough, try to reinstall the OS from the recovery CD and test if this problem persists after installing new OS.

  • Equium - dead after hibernation, the system recovery does not work

    Hello
I'm trying to fix the laptop of one of my friends, but so far without success. It's a Toshiba Satellite with Vista.

She had problems with a black screen after startup in Windows Vista. I found a work around for this problem, but it was a little complicated for her... She doesn't know much about computers. ;)
So I but it would be a good idea to tell him to always use hibernation. However, when I put the portable standby extended, all seemed fine, shutdown, power off.
I tried and then turn it back on. Light turns green, cd drive makes noises. Nothing more. Screen remains completely black. No sounds. Keyboard input does not work. No access to the Manager startup or anything else. He left light until I pass him by pressing the button for a few seconds.
I removed the battery and put back in place, without result.
Connection to an external monitor shows no results.
When I put the original CD recovery Toshiba, no results.

So, basically a cell phone dead. Ah yes, I'm in the Brazil in a small village, away from the stores of tech support or computer. Maybe a problem material, but all was working fine until I used the hibernation.

Any help or ideas would be very appreciated! ;)

    Hello

My laptop could not wake up after hibernation too but I managed to wake up again.
    This;
Disconnect the power adapter and remove the battery.
Now, you will have to wait a while 1 hour should be sufficient, but you can leave the laptop disconnected for a longer time (all night long)

After that, you must connect the battery and AC adapter and should try to light the device if it will not help you then you are in trouble
This would mean that a serious hardware problem causing this problem and I doubt you could remedy without any help from the ASP.

  • Satellite A100 hangs after hibernation / suspension

    Hello

I have a new A100 with Vista installed. Everything works fine, but there are two REALLY boring problems.

    1. after the suspension or wintering, Vista often hangs when you try to connect to internet/network. I know it's a question that I've seen other people writing similar things on other sites. Y at - it a cure?

    2. When blocking down after using the net, I am often a message that Adobe Reader has a lot of open pages and I can't stop.

    Thanks for your time.

    Hello

Vista often hangs when you try to connect to internet/network
(1.) you want to tell the WLan or LAN?
It's not easy to offer the solution in this case believe me Dimitri. Test and Binder are what you could do, what version of BIOS do you use? Check if the new version is available on the Toshiba page. Sometimes, the update of the BIOS might help.
Further, you can try to disable the option in energy-saving Wlan/Lan Card properties and try to update the drivers.

2.) this only happens on my laptop 2 different. But I don t use the Vista but XP.
From time to time I m not able to stop because a message appears saying: Adobe acrobat reader runs in the background and can not close.
In this case, you can try to reinstall the software Adobe reader and try to clean the registry with an application of part 3.
Additional you may stop loading the acrobat reader at the beginning. Simply remove the entry from the registry RUN acrobat reader

  • Satellite L650 - screen Get back after hibernation

First time the Toshiba user and am on information overload. When the screen is put in hibernation, I gently press the button to return to the screen. Other methods such as drag the hand on the pad (I don't know what it's called) does not work as it does with another person using the same model. Also, I put my profile as "locked" instead of hibernation, so this may be the problem. Could not find a way to change. I have this Toshiba menu marking but watched most of the places.

What do you usually after hiberbating to restart. ? Can anyone help please?

    Hello

Your ad is a bit confusing and I have to say that you can return the laptop after hibernation mode if you press the power button. I put t really know what you mean with passage of hand on the cushion. It turns out if the laptop is in hibernation mode, you must press the power button to start it.

If you have any other questions, just after again.

  • Satellite L30-115 returns after hibernation too early

    Satellite L30-115.
The lid switch opens even slight movements (with the lid closed). What makes my book out of hibernation.

Energy saver, I put to enter the Hibernate when I press the power button and do nothing when I close the lid. So I expect to do nothing when I opened the lid, too.
The laptop still exists, after hibernation.

Is this a bug in the BIOS, normal behavior, is there a place to put not to resume when I open the lid? BIOS and energy savings are updated recently.

    Thank you
    Dan

When the lid is closed the small switch will activate and laptop knows what lid are closed. Light moves this contact will be interruption and laptop think the lid is open. Because of this, your mobile PC wakes up from hibernation mode.

A few minutes ago I tested how reacts a Satellite phone and also my new Vista preinstalled Satellite P200D preinstalled old WXP. I did the same settings that you are, and the result is the same. After the opening of the notebooks of the lid to wake up from hibernation mode.

  • Satellite L10-202 begins after hibernation without opening the lid

    Hello

I have problem with start up after hibernation. When I close the lid computers go into hibernation. It's OK. But when I opened the lid it starts. Sometimes I don't even open the cover. I just take over and it starts.

It is not critical, but it's very uncomfortable because when it is in hibernation, and I take it and move in a purse or bag it lights. Is it possible to configure something he'll start when I press the power button / stop and not when I open the lid?

    Hello

As far as I know the Toshiba Power saver is responsible for the hibernation and the day before.
In this case, I recommend first reinstall the Toshiba Power saver.
    Check it out.
