Restart of the force after deployment

Hi all

I'm developing an application with JDE puglin for Ecplipse (api 5.0, 8520). Can I know if is restart possible force (the same as alt + caps + delete) after deployment?

I want to do it because I have to register a listener at the start (i.e. when ApplicationManager.getApplicationManager (.inStartup) is set to true).

Thanks in advance.

Kind regards

Gianni.

I found that may not force restart but, if necessary, automatically invited to user if reboot the device. Then, maybe, he's wrong my startup... I ask the Java development.

Sorry for the misunderstanding.

  • Satellite Pro A300-15 t does not restart on the current after BIOS update

    Hello

There is something wrong with my Satellite Pro A300-15 t. I made an update of the BIOS of toshiba recently with the latest Web site and it installed successfully. But after the installation, I noticed that my laptop does not restart when it is connected to the power adapter. It restarts and works perfectly when its power on the battery.

After restart or start-up the laptop (on battery), it will be well when the adapter is connected.

But, when I reboot when the adapter is connected, after his stop, just power light turns on for a second or two and gets off automatically. And not even the laptop starts manually by pressing the power button (LCD is turned off when the power light comes on for 2 seconds) when the adapter remains connected.

So what I do is to pull the plug on the adapter, then start the computer manually by pressing the power button and reconnect the plug of the adapter to the laptop starts. It works well this way. Rest everything works perfectly.

And this problem started after the update of the BIOS. Now, I don't know how to remedy the situation I don't know if there was a bug in the last update of the bios.

  • With 'something' in PersistentStore requires a restart of the device after the upgrade/uninstall?

    Hi all

I am trying to identify what is the maximum feature that can be implemented in a BlackBerry application so that updated/uninstall does not reboot of the device.

Official information about the persistent objects:

    ==== KB ====

    http://www.BlackBerry.com/knowledgecenterpublic/livelink.exe/fetch/2000/348583/800332/800620/What_Is...

    ...

The application contains a live referenceto a persistent object.

    ...

    = Forum =.

    http://rim.lithium.com/T5/Java-development/error-module-is-in-use/m-p/131618

    ....

What exactly does it mean that "The application contains a live reference to a persistent object"? More specifically what does "live" mean?

    ....

This is an "uncommitted" modified persistent object that is in use by the application.

    ....

My current tests show that once you have something stored in PersistentStore, uninstall / upgrade will require restarting the device. Can someone please confirm this or explain what is wrong with my test script (code to follow)?

Your application being started has nothing to do with the fact that there is a direct reference from your application to the persistent store. At the start of the system, the operating system made a lot of analysis of existing modules, whether or not they are reported to run at startup. During this analysis, it will link the custom object in the modules in your application's persistent store. (This analysis also makes it possible for the system automatically removes the persistent, custom objects that have been orphaned by an application being uninstalled.)

As Simon posted, is not having an object persistent, but having a custom persistent object that forces a restart. Try your experience using a hash instead of a ConfigObject table.

Note that the downside of using a generic object as the Hashtable class is that the persistent data of your application will not disappear when your application is removed.

don't forget to backup the files before modifying

If you use intellectual property on configurations, then it will not break. You need to change /etc/openstack-dashboard/local_settings well and change this line

    ALLOWED_HOSTS = ['192.168.1.1', '*', 'localhost', ]

You must also change your configuration of http in/etc/httpd/conf.d

  • VM restarts once after deployment

    Hello

I use the VMware API Python bindings to deploy new virtual machines templates.

Part of the deployment is to create a file specification, with a new NETWORK card, for different Mac.

The virtual machine is ok, boots with the OS image that I want.

However, I could see that it starts up to a certain point and then restarts once.

    After that everything works fine.

I'm trying to understand why he did this.

The model is a RHEL installation, without any currently configured NETWORK card.

These will be added via the file spec for the deployment.

My suspicion is that entails once reboot after deployment.

But I have never seen a VM restarts after I added a NETWORK card to it.

    Any help is very appreciated.

    Thank you

    Christian

    Hi Christian,

I recommend checking out /var/log/vmware-imc/toolsDeployPkg.log to find out what triggers this restart, and unpacking of the entries in the guest operating system.

To confirm whether the scripts of customization, the cause, you might want to test the deployment without the customization applied to see how the virtual machine behaves on its own, with none of the steps additional process post-clone.

    Hello

    ·         Do you have what software installed?

    ·         You get the error message?

Step 1: Try the following steps to disable the automatic restart in case of system error:

    (a) restart your computer and start pressing F8 on your keyboard. On a computer that is configured to start to multiple operating systems, you can press the F8 key when the Boot Menu appears.

    (b) select turn off automatic system failure reboot when the Windows Advanced Options menu appears, and press ENTER.

    (c) Please provide the error if you get one.

Step 2: Check if you are able to start the computer in safe mode.

  • After restart of the firmware upgrade

Hi, I need to update the firmware on my controllers PS6100 EqualLogic.

I found the instructions on how to do it and everything seems straight forward to do so via the GUI.

I noticed there is a necessary restart after the firmware has been applied. Does this mean I have to gracefully shutdown the virtual machines running on my SAN LUNS? My iSCSI connections will be closed/broken during the restart of the post firmware upgrade?

    Thank you, Oliver.

    Hello Oliver,.

In the same area download notes firmware and release is another PDF, entitled ' iSCSI initiator and optimize your SAN environment for high availability operating system considerations ", which includes some key parameters that will allow your computers virtual and servers through the failover time.  It is important that not only the Firmware update, but in the case of an unexpected failure due to a failure of CM.

More if you use VMware ESXi, there is a best practices PDF for that as well.  In addition to better manage the failover, these changes have shown to improve performance as well.

The Tech report TR1091 is available here:

    http://en.community.Dell.com/TechCenter/Extras/m/white_papers/20434601/download

Changes for Windows and the knots of ESXi virtual machines will require a reboot to take effect.

What version of firmware you are at, and what version you are migrating towards?

Other things I always propose updates is to ensure that both controllers are plugged in your switch and in the VLAN correct.  Since assets CM are failed over to the passive, support gets much advertising is unable to access the storage after firmware update.  Or ports of the day before were not in the VLAN correct, or individuals with disabilities, etc...

It is for these reasons that personally I prefer to do the updates via the serial port CLI.   The process is more talkative, and if something should go wrong, you need the serial port of some sort.   Since the installation and tested in advance is a huge time saver.   Here, we use serial mux so that all array controllers are easily accessible.
