Restore a specific full backup of data file to a new location

Hello

I have a test instance (10.2.0.4). I took a full backup of the database and has fallen to a data file.

Now, I created an auxiliary Instance where I restored the controlfile since the full backup to help:

RMAN > run {}
up to the time "to_date('2011-03-16:15:09:00','yyyy-mm-dd:hh24:mi:ss')";
Restore controlfile to ' / home/rtest/aux/control01.ctl';
}

Now, what is the procedure to restore the deleted data file in ' / home/rtest/aux/***.dbf';

Help, please.

Thanks in advance.

Kind regards.

You can 'Transport' the Tablespace containing the datafile after completing the Point in time of recovery on the auxiliary.

All data in the tablespace must be made up - for example, you can't FKs referencing tables in other storage spaces.

  • RMAN change the backup of data files directory

    Hi all!

    I have question for RMAN. My backups keep in fast_recovery_area (/ opt/oracle/fast_recovery_area). I want to change the path of my fast_recovery_area to another location. I've changed that through SQL more command: ALTER SYSTEM SET DB_RECOVERY_FILE_DEST = ' / opt/oracle/backup ' SCOPE = BOTH SID ='* ';

    Now, my fast_recovery_area is in this path/opt/oracle/backup. In the fast_recovery_area, I have 4 folders (archivelog, autobackup, backupset datafile). All folder is created in the new location and RMAN write successfully the file on the new location except a single file (datafile). How can I change this option for this folder that writes to the new location. P.S datafile directroy have * dbf files backed up nightly.

    Thank you!

    You use an incremental update strategy of backup.  The level 1 backup is always aware of the 'previous' 0 level backup in the old location, so it is not a fee L0 backup in the new location.  You can remove the old backup, run a BACKUP DUPLICATION and OVERLAPPING COPY OF DATABASE for Oracle to be aware that the L0 backup no longer exists.  Then, run a fresh backup for Oracle create a new backup of L0.

  • MS complete PC Backup and Restore for Vista Ultimate backup programs and files?

    I'm new to computers and there is still a lot to learn, I have an OS Vista Home Premium and I think to upgrade to Ultimate and I read that the complete PC Backup and restore can be used with MS Virtual Server to back up the computer. But what I read didn't specifically tell me if she saves some programs I downloaded, it says full backup but computer language being what it is I don't quite mean it as programs and files, which is what I'm interested in. So I can save my programs and files with this system? I don't want to go all the time, trouble and upgrade costs if I can only do half of what I want to do. Thanks a lot for any help on this idea.

    When you perform a full backup of the computer, all programs, files and system settings are included.

  • How to find a specific record in what data file?

    Hi all

    The basic version: 11 GR 2

    I am inserting a table a record called "xx". and the table is in a tablespace that has lets say 10 files of data. How to find the data file which stores this record "xx".

    If the tablespace contains multiple data files and data in the table can be in the data files.

    And to find the ID of the particular LINE belongs to the data file, you must play with package

  • Failed to backup all data files

    Hello
    I registered my DB goal in the catalog DB.
    Then when I checked the rman DF table I could see only 6 data files while I have 7 data files.
    Here, I could see my temp datafile.

    total - system, tools, WITH data files, rbs, HLCC_LOB. Temp Index
    DAT saved are EQUIPPED, HLCC_LOB, tools, rbs, system, Index

    can one explain why it's happening like this, and how can I ackup my temp folder

    Tablespace TEMP is not saved. They are not necessary for recovery. Since the 10g, temporary datafiles will be recreated by RMAN during recovery of the database, otherwise, you can re-create the temporary file yourself.

  • Moving ORACLE_HOME, data files, controlfiles, redo the location of the log files

    Version: 10.2.0.1.0

    One of the rental (ORACLE_HOME) from our test of the DB software has been installed wrongly X11R6. We used it for a year now. Now, we are planning to move the ORACLE_HOME to one/U02 the new situation. Due to another disk maintenance activity, move all data files, redo log files, control files, tempfiles to a different location as well!

    This database is not in mode (luckily) ARCHIVELOG.

    If I do a new install of 10.2.0.1.0 in / U02, I can't use the old installation system01.dbf, sysaux01.dbf, undotbs01.dbf files for this new facility. Right?

    How can I go to do this thing any approach?

    4. change db in archivelog mode. (Required)

  • Copy of database (data file?) on new server

    I have trouble finding a clear documentation on this topic. Here is my scenario: I have an existing Oracle to install (let's call O1) with a single logical disk space, which has a single data file. I need to copy all of the database ' ' (tables, procedures, triggers, funcitons, data) to a new Oracle instance (let's call O2). Both servers are on networks separated - directly linking the two is out of the question.

    The O2 already has the exact structure of the table even as O1. I simply need to copy all the data, procedures, triggers, etc. from O1 to O2. I want that all the data/functions/procedures/etc already O2 to remove. Can someone point me in the right direction?

    Thank you

    Hello

    Can someone point me in the right direction?

    This resembles datapump will do the trick.
    There is an Oracle forum as well.
    Export/import/SQL Loader & Tables outside
    As long as you are able to copy the dump created on the O1 server to a temporary location (your own PC?) and upload it on the server of the O2, you're in business by giving up the schema in the database of the O2 and import the dump O1.
    Kind regards

  • Moved the files to the new location and now need help

    A bit new to dreamweaver.

    CS4 Mac

    I had created a site on an external HARD drive.

    Some time ago I moved it to my internal HARD drive.

    When I went to edit today I can't open it as a website... just like the individual pages.

    When I went to use a portion of my assets, DW says that "I have to set a site before I can use any assets."

    How to redefine my site - if I have already defined it, but DW doesn't see it...?

    I hope that makes sense.  Any help is appreciated.
