restore C drive

I think I have a Trojan horse on my computer so I went to restore the drive back to its original State C, but the restore process doesn't let me get 22% in and then crashes. Eventally, it comes with a blue screen and says to hit ok and then themselves. My model is a FS940. Thxs!

  • Image of disk HARD recovery removed the Satellite A300 - restore HARD drive

    Hello
I have a Satellite A300, and I deleted by mistake HDD Recovery folder.

I have recovery disks, but I want the HDD Recovery folder to restore my system without using the discs.

Please, can you tell me how to recreate the HDD Recovery folder?

    Thank you very much

    Hello

Unfortunately, now is not impossible to recover, image of hard drive, but with the only recovery disk. You can copy only to someone who has the same laptop with hard drive recovery record.

  • Re: Satellite L300 will not start and cannot restore HARD drive

I have a L300 which stops just to start (after that the screen flash BIOS) with a single cursor flashing when I boot from the HARD disk. I can access the bios Setup and boot from the CD. I took the HARD drive connected to my external USB adapter on another PC and I can see partitions C and D and read the files correctly. I noticed that there is a directory called 'HDD recovery' on the D drive, but I don't have a recovery CD or another program to restore it.

I found a boot of Vista recovery disc and it allows me to start a version of vista recovery but when I check the windows system can't find any errors. Also, if I choose the system restore then he says that he has no restore file.
I suspect it's the disk HARD restore being Tosh files and Windows.

    Help someone!

  • computer crashed will not restore c drive is damaged

my computer crashed and won't work for all programs in normal mode. In safe mode, I can get the internet, do not react in windows programs and is unable to find a just solution freezes. I tried to remove programs and the system restore, but it keeps telling me that the c drive is corrupt. I'm not computer savy but need my computer to work all programs. I don't know if that helps, but the usb ports do not register the printer mp4 player or my camera. It's terrible, all help to restore my computer would be appreciated... Even windows media player and windows media center are declining.

Go to start / programs / accessories / command prompt and right click on command prompt, and then click Run as administrator.

Type chkdsk /f /r and enter.  This will check and try to correct errors on your hard drive (as applicable).  It may need to remove bad sectors (which could cause more problems that files located in these areas may be lost - but we'll cross that bridge if we come to it - fix your hard drive is the first priority).  If it finds a large number of bad sectors, your hard drive may be faulty and will need to be replaced.

Let us know the results of the scan, chkdsk/f/r, and we will go from there.

Good luck and I hope this helps.

P.S. If you can't run Chkdsk from safe mode, try to start the installation disc Windows Vista genuine or your recovery disc (if you have one) and run it from the command prompt here. Lorien - a - MCSE/MCSA/network + / A +.

  • Items 11 backup not correctly restore to drive different

Using of 11 items, I created a backup of the catalog of a PC (where the catalogue and photos are on drive E :). I'm trying to restore on another PC (where they will be disk F :). Restoration, I specify the new location (IE F:\Photos) and Restore Original Folder Structure. The photos are of restoration where I expect them (IE F:\Photos\*) but in the elements it considers that the photos are still in their original location of the source PC (IE E:\Photos\*).

So, to summarize, the photos are restored to the new location ocrrectly, but it seems that the catalog is not reflecting this when I restore. Any ideas what I am doing wrong? I think that I also had the same problem with the Restore Original Folder Structure by triggering (but no matter, I don't want to iron out records)

    Thank you

    Doug

    Hi Michel,.

Looks like it's a catalog is corrupted. I uninstalled then reinstalled PSE, and then restored to the catalog (a new catalog name, just in case) and everything works now.

As a point of interest, restore when the book is 'bad' took about 12 hours (for 20K pictures/videos). I thought I'd hit a critical threshold in PSE where performance fell had too many files. Now, it takes less than 30 minutes. I'll keep this in mind for any future indicator of problems

    Thanks for your help

  • Replace and restore hard drive

I have a problem with my hard drive that went wrong by HP.  They sent me a replacement of the hard disk.

Here's my dilemma.  I'm trying to figure out how I can do a restore to get back in my last backup (I backup every night using the backup) and restore the control panel Center.  I also created my backup disks, but it was before the upgrade to Vista Ultimate (64 bit) Vista Home Premium (64-bit).  Also, I backed up my computer using the centre of restoration and backup on an external hard drive this past weekend as I knew this day was coming.

I want to know is what should be my methodology of restoration?  Should I restore disks, then restore my computer from the centre of restoration and backup, and then restore since my last incremental backup?  I think that should more update me.  The instructions that come with the replacement hard drive are not so large.  They tell you to restore it from the backup disks, then re - install all the applications you have on your machine.  I invested some money in external hard drives and have everything saved and want to use it.

What should be my methodology of restoration?  Help for procedures would be greatly appreciated.

If you get a new hard drive and want to have the operating system installed on the new drive hard, why don, t you buy acronis true image, I have and it works great-

  • Restore-hard drive problem

I had to restore my hard drive (mac) and reloaded from backup (Yes!), but Adobe requires that I have

Uninstall (Done), perform a cleanup (and fact) and reinstall from a downloaded DMG file.  (why can't it be easier?)

On trying to launch the installation, I get "Installer App cannot be opened because it comes from a developer that is unidentified.

So, now I have nothing.  How do we install?  It was a Web purchase in 2011 so I did not always have this DMG file.

    Please notify.

  • Restore backup drive ext

Failed to upgrade to El Capitan, not recent upward. Apple customer support helped me to back up my files on an external hard drive (WD My passport for Mac) nd formatted the hard drive and installed at El Capitan. I have now an empty machine and all my photos etc on the disc Ext. given of its my only copy of the data, I'm being very careful. How can I transfer the files to the hard drive on my Mac to then save on the ext and (probably) iCloud drive safely.

I'd get a flash drive and copy your photos into the flash player.

You can use the migration wizard to move your stuff to you new boot drive

  • Restore factory for 3 TB Fusion Drive settings

I should just come here first, Apple phone support has been no help at all, took two officers to just make me an appointment at the Apple Store for tomorrow.  I'm sure they were also just guess what to do.

I decided to format and restore my iMac with screen Retina 5 k, there is a merger of 3 TB drive.  I would just restore the drive to merge its factory settings which seems just a partition that includes the SSD & HDD together... I think that RAIDed... I'm not really sure, I've been googling and I am even more confused now.  I'm having the hardest time and whenever I try to delete a partition or delete something that I feel like I'm making it worse, which is why I called Apple, but they were not useful.

Does anyone have any suggestions?  I have no other drive connected to my iMac.

Is there maybe a terminal command to restore the unity of fusion to its original state so I can install El Capitan again?

I've attached a picture of disk utility where I left with telephone support from Apple.

N ° the SSD & HDD are not searched in a merger player. They linked together in a logical volume so that the data can be promoted and demoted to maintain the data that you use on the SSD and the data that you do not use the HARD disk. Giving you the SSD performance but a hard disk storage space.

You will find indications to recreate your Fusion drive to the http://blog.macsales.com/15617-creating-your-own-fusion-drive

I hope that you have a backup because only when you have completed this procedure the Fusion drive will be empty.

  • Re: Satellite X 200: Vista restore after format low-level HARD drive

    Hello

I would like to know if the CD of my Satellite X 200 recovery tools is able to restore my drive after a low-level format?

Waiting for them, thanks a lot.

    Hello

The use of the Toshiba Recovery CD would be to format the whole HARD drive and to relocate again the entire image of Toshiba.
This means that all the operating system Windows Vista, Toshiba drivers, tools and additional software would be installed on your HARD drive 200 X.

I hope this is the information that you need.

  • Restoration of the Intel chipset driver, now the volume knob no longer work. HP 610-1030y, Windows 7

As the title says, I restored the driver Chipset Intel Original HP link, and now I can not adjust the volume of the rocker switch on the left side of the screen, either from the keyboard. Can someone please help me with a fix for this? Thank you!

    Hello

Do you still have the volume icon in the taskbar and you can change the volume or you have a red cross on it?

Can you go into Control Panel, system and check in Device Manager how the audio input is detected?

Try to install the audio driver from this link: http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/COL37027/pv-91014-1/sp51866.exe

Also, you can update the BIOS, not for the problem you are having, but it's always good to have the latest updates: http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp53001-53500/sp53090.exe

Let me know the results of this question.
