restore data on lexar memory stick (I removed dangerously, it now reads empty - AGGG)

new lexar folding MemoryStick

I removed w/out 'Remove' as it was in a computer that had been dead, and I couldn't get it to power upward.

When I inserted in another computer Lexar now reads "empty" which means I lost?  all the data?

Someone knows how to rejuvenate it? Correct that I broke?

  • How to format FAT32 Memory Stick that says that it is read only

I have a 8 GB USB key (directly from the provider) that I can't write or re-form.  Under sharing and permissions of the USB it says that my access is read-only.  If I try to delete it via disk utility I get an error message saying it didn't - I see by looking at the "details" that permission has been denied.

I tried to re - format the USB on a windows as well without success.

Suspect it may be defective and are returned to the vendor but I was wondering if anyone has something else to think about.

    Thanks in advance,

If you can not select the drive and delete and back in shape, then it is a bad drive. No new flash drive would come from a manufacturer as read only anyway. Even your mac must write in this format.

  • How to transfer photos to computer Olypus softwear to a memory stick using the USB port on the computer?

Have a ceiling of memory 2 GB Kingston Data Traveler 100 memory stick (w) technology. Want to down load a series of photos already on computer with master Olypus softwear registration. Should what procedures I use to achieve this? Please specify all measures to achieve this transfer process. Thank you

For the task that you describe... I do not see the need
    for the Olympus software.

Insert data traveler into a USB port and go...
    Start / computer.

The data traveler must be recognized as a
Removable drive with a drive letter.

OK... now that you know the drive letter... If you right
Click a selected group photos or an entire folder
You should be able to choose... Send to / removable
Disk (? :))..) .This must copy the pictures to the data
    Traveler

Make sure that the photos are in one or more records because
the number of photos that you can copy to the directory root
may be very limited. And you will receive the following error:

"Impossible to copy the XXXX: failed to create the directory or file.

  • Re: Equim A200 - 151 Memory Stick Pro Duo 512 stuck

    Hello!

I know very little about periphirals, and as a result, I now have a memory Sony stick stuck in my SD / XD laptop slot. I tried to remove it manually, but I don't want to disassemble the laptop in case I damage it. Any ideas on what I could do? Thank you!!!

    Hey there.
I assume that you have not used the adapter, when you insert the memory stick pro duo in the card reader?
Well, the only thing you could try is now use a pair of tweezers to get out of your laptop.

But be careful not to push further, not the card in the reader.
That's all I can tell you now.
If you are not sure if you dare continue, go and contact local ASP to prevent further damage.

  • Photos deleted from Memory Stick, can they be recovered?

    Hello.

I got some pictures on my memory stick and I deleted it now while it was plugged in to the computer.

The files are not in my trash - does that mean that they are gone or they are on my computer somewhere

Files deleted from a memory stick are not going to trash. If you have not used the stick since then you have a good shot to recover files by running this tool on the stick.

"Deleting" a file does not actually delete it marks just the space
also available to be used. There are third-party programs that can
sometimes recover deleted files. The problem is that the space used by
the file is likely to be replaced very quickly, and it makes
    the unrecoverable file.

So your chances of successfully recover this file are decent if you
Try it again immediately after the deletion of it and go quickly
downhill from there if you write other files on the device.

But if the file is large enough, it's still worth a try. Stop
written on the memory stick immediately, if you did not
already. Download an undelete program (and here's one:)

  • Satellite A100 - how to remove the Memory Stick Pro DUO card slot

    Hey,.

I really need help with how to remove my Memory Stick Pro DUO card slot.

The laptop read the stick very well and I can see all the files into it but I can't seem to get out. I tried to push a little to get out, but it does not work and it's also pretty far in so I can't get out.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Thank you

    Hello

To my knowledge there is no extra help for Memory Stick Pro DUO removing as on the PCMCIA port.
You should try to get him out. If you n t manage to pull him out with you fingers, you can use a pair of tweezers.
    But be careful.

  • Inserting and removing memory stick for loading of pictures from the camera.

I currently have a HP Envy23 all in one computer.  When you insert the Memory Stick PRO Duo for the loading of the pictures on the computer, I have to push the memory stick all the way to access and upload the photos.  The memory stick will completely into the slot and doesn't have a function to remove the memory stick.  In my view, what is of the size multi memory card slot.

This doesn't seem fair.  To get the stick, I must use a pair of pliers tweezers in the opening to pick up the stick and take it out.  It takes some effort to seize the stick.  Y at - it a special procedure should I use to get out of the slot in the Memory Stick?

    Thanks for your help.

    Tahoeterry

    Hello tahoeterry,

I understand that you are having problems getting your Memory Stick PRO Duo on your HP ENVY 23 and are looking for help. Have you tried to push the card until it clicks. This should release the memory card and let him out for easy removal. If this does not work as I said then I think it would be best if you contact HP Support for service options, as there may be something to physically hurt.

I want to thank you for display on the HP Forums. Have a great day!

  • How can I remove information on a Memory Stick

I have a memory stick with the music on it how I can remove the musicso can I use the memory stick for other purposes

    Hello chattykathy,.

    1. Insert the USB key into a USB Port on your PC.

    2. a message will appear asking you what you want to do. (Except if one updated it is turned off.) If it works then you will need open Windows Explorer to view files)

    3. Select show records

    4. Windows Explorer opens to allow you to view the files.

    5. turn highlight the file that you want to remove, then right-click on it and, in the drop-down menu, click on delete.

    6. If you want to remove all files, select the first file, then hold down the SHIFT key and click the last file. All files should now be highlighted.

    7. now you can right-click on the area highlighted, and in the menu drop-down, select Remove.

If you have no copies of these files, it would be wise to copy them into a new folder on your hard drive. You can do this by following the instructions above, but instead of select supprimer to delete in the drop-down menu, select copy. Once you've done that, find the folder that you want to place the files and right click and select Paste.

  • Once removed a memory stick from the hard drive, is - one of these information is stored on the hard drive?

If I access the files on a USB key, and then remove it, all information is stored on my computer? Lilian_999

Perhaps some may remain in the cache or shadow copy

Files must not be stored on a memory stick, the stick must be considered as a temporary storage area.

If you change files on a stick, they should be edited on a hard drive, then copied on the key location, or

Not all USB keys are the same, some are literally given.
