HP p1606dn Firmware 20120814 causing light of power is flashing

Hello world:

I recently installed the software driver for the printer hp p1606dn on my Mac OS X 10.8.2. During installation, the installer asked me if I wanted to update the firmware of the printer to the version number 20120814 - in which I did since I didn't update the firmware when I bought this printer in September 2011.

Updated firmware to update correctly and the printer prints without any problem. But I noticed something unusual. Whenever the printer goes into sleep mode after one minute, I noticed that my green light (the one with the incomplete circle icon) flashes every 2-3 seconds or more.

I am still able to access the Web server without problems and he wake up by sending a print job. After a minute, the printer is asleep (as expected) but the Green LED flashes every 2-3 seconds.

The question is, did the new wreck of the something firmware or is this a new behavior implemented by the firmware?

All responses are much appreciated!

Thanks in advance

Do you have some digging/ask autour on this unit today... it works as expected after the new firmware update. You should be good to go

If I find more information, I'll be sure to post it.

Hello, im hoping someone can help me, I have a 1113eo of the g7. that does not start. the battery has been dead for a while, but his works well with just the adapter. But yesterday it no longer starts, I tried to do the hard reset (remove battery and hold the power button for 15/30secs) but who did not work, so I started to disassemble that he virtually stopped when I discovered that I didn't have a screwdriver. then press the button power again just to check, and the pc started. a stroke of luck was good cause I tried to restart and it started again.

whenever I press the power button, the little led next to the power supply, flashes 3 times. No its or other led´s flashing

    Please help me

(ps the warranty is no longer valid)

    Hello

It is certainly not good if you are able to check the adapter - my main concern, as you was able to get the laptop to start only once, is that this may also indicate a possible problem with the power supply Board.

  • DeskJet J110 light of power is flashing. does not print. Will not the carriage to move. turn on automatically return

I had a paper jam and allowed. It was in the middle of a print job. Now, he won't do ANYTHING, but the Start button / stop flashes. I worked through the options with no luck in case of problems. The paper has no tear at all, so there is no small piece of paper stuck in it, but that's what it is like. Tried to turn it off and wait 30 seconds, but it will not remain offshore. It turns turns! Tried out the ink cartridges and putting them back. Don't reset the transport. There is no messagages error. Help, please!

Looks like you have a very serious carriage jam. The document following the link will have all the steps that you can do to try to solve the problem. If this does not work, you can contact HP to see if the printer is still under warranty. HP should replace it if it is. HP contact information can be found by following the link below.

  • HP photosmart d110a printer load paper message demo lights after power to the top

After changing the black cartridge, when I turn on the printer, it always comes up with the message "loading paper".  There are in the paper machine.  I removed, repositioned, tried different papers, etc.  I have the choice to see the demo or "OK to continue".  Whatever it is, it then puts to the top of the screen, which suggests that I run the alignment process.  It is the only choice.  When I press OK, it now says 'print alignment page' and displays the blue bar pulse, the Red 'X' and the power button flashes, but it remains that way forever.   Oddly enough, I can still print, even when paused trying to print the alignment page.

Hey there. Try following the steps described in this paper: a "undetected alignment page" or "Cannot be alignment" Message displays on the all-in-one

Even if the title is not correct for your mistake, it goes through the same troubleshooting steps. Let me know if this is not the problem. If she does not show returns with a new details and we will continue from there.

  • notification light won't stop flashing!

My notification light keeps flashing green. I have no new notification and I went through all the programs that I get notifications and the turned off and it still continues to blink when the screen is off. Please help, as this is slightly drain my battery.

Seems to be a bug that will disappear once the phone is power cycled that occurs when an application generates a notification 'in progress', like a weather app.

Basically, if an app puts a notification in the left side of the bar notification, it can cause light flashes power cycling the phone will stop it but it can return.

  • HP PSC 1510 all in one printer power button flashing key.

The power button flashes. No other lights are on.  I can not turn off the printer.

    Hello Laureldawn,

I see this is your first visit with us here on the Forums of HP. Please, let me take a moment to say 'Welcome. '

I have some suggestions that we can try when troubleshooting flashing lights on the printer.

First of all, please make sure that you have the printer power cable connected directly to a wall outlet and NOT a bar/power strip.

Here is a document that uses a LaserJet printer for example, but it is intended to be used by HP products in general.  This document explains the problems when connected to an uninterruptible power supply/Strip/surge protector power.

Another step we can try is the document the Treaty of lights flash.

Please let me know whether or not these measures have helped.

If I don't hear from you today, I hope you have a great Wednesday.

    See you soon,.

  • Re: Power LED flashes on Satellite A200

My laptop A200 seeing power just flashes no pwer to the system, place a new battery, power supply output is 19volts.

If the power light blincks she sends a flashing code. In other words, there are a few detected probem and its flashing code sends mit code to identify the problem with technicans.

Therefore, it is recommended to contact the nearest service and ask for help.

By the way: If the same thing happens with AC power supply and removed the battery?

  • Pavilion a1130n block of POWER LED flashes when it is connected to the mobo

We had a power outage and now PC won't start at all and power and power supply lights both blink.  I went through the list of power supply.  When everything is unplugged PSU led remains lit.  When I plug in the mobo light starts flashing again.

On another forum, someone suggested clearing CMOS as check/solution possible, but I've seen suggested once on all of the controls/solutions out there.

Should I try clearing CMOS or who would really do something to help here?

Also, I am trying to determine the most cost-effective path of repair/replacement.  The main consideration for me is software and data on the hard drive, I would really like.  I know that the machine is old so I'm thinking the mobo may need to be upgraded in any case of 6 years and the PSU, should probably due to his age and the likelihood it will fail before too long.

    Any guidance is appreciated.

lardfw wrote: I deleted CMOS (using the pull method) and there is no change. Well, I understand that it was a long shot. I followed the checklist (do not skip steps).  I was a little fuzzy on the checklist is should I go ahead and take memory cards and disconnect the headset, microphone, usb ports, etc to the MoBo? During the only thing connected to the PSU is the MoBo.  Nothing connected to the PSU = green fixed.  Connected to the power supply flashing green = MoBo. So my concern is passed: the hell of the MoBo or PSU is (because I'm buddy up to the idea that it is).  in order to use the hard drive in a new configuration (specifically the software and data on the hard drive).

Hello lardfw, with nothing connected to the motherboard and you try to start the system, if the motherboard was not defective, with the power supply work as it should, you get all kinds of sound signals, especially when the memory is removed.

I'm sure that the motherboard has failed. You should be able to remove the hard drive and install it into another system such as a secondary drive and not the bootable disc and be able to copy some files from the hard drive. You would not be able to access the applications.

Once you have recovered all the data you may be, you could then reformat the hard drive and use the total capacity of the disk as a backup, or even use it as a bootable stick with a new operating system installation.

  • Portege R100 stoped working - the power LED flashes error codes

I have a R100 that has suddenly stopped working.
The power led (clear amber with the image of the power wire) flashes what appears to be an error code of 5 flashes with a long pause on the last flash, followed by 3 flashes.

That - what it means, and where can I get a list of all codes error?

I changed the main battery, changed the spare battery and changed supply - and again, I get the error permanently. I was not able to power the laptop at all since it started. When you press the power button / nothing happens.

I hope someone on this forum has some information that may help you diagnose this problem. Tech support representatives Toshiba post here?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

I m not a R100 owner but to me it looks like a card mother malfunction because you have already tried to exchange the battery and the AC adapter.

In this case, the best solution would be if you go to an authorized service provider. Technicians can consult the specifications and they know what means this code I think.
Here it s only a user to user forum and I have never seen anyone from Toshiba again.

Anyway, here you can search for the nearest ASP:

  • M7470n power button flashing

This PC has worked flawlessly for some time without problem.  I have installed a licensed version of Windows 7 from MS Technet and everything seemed to be good.  Actively during the use of the PC, it went completely dark.  The power button started alternating blue and yellow flashing. The LED on the back of the PSU is lit.

I found that if I unplugged the power cord & then pressed & held the power button for 5-10 seconds, it would stop flashing.  When I reconnect the power cord, it starts again normally, but the PC turns off again everything using it as before.  The CPU & case as expected fans function when the PC is running.

Is finally - the power LED flashes (not the one on the power supply to the back of the PC) as described above an indication of sleep / standby or something else?  I remember that when the PC is on and used, this would indicate blue - and when, in a form of Eve, there amber glow.  I can't find a definitive answer about the State of amber blue alternating.

I had the same problem. When you press the power button, the blue power led for half a second and started to blink orange/blue. The only way to reset this behavior was to remove the power cord for one minute. The problem started intermittently and as time passed, it was worse. Until today where I have never been able to start. I finally found the problem. It was a power supply problem. I opened the power supply to find 5 capacitors were bulging. I'd say it's probably normal because this PC was purshased in verse 2005 (8 years). I replaced 5 capacitors (total $ 5) and it works like new. Hope this helps other people with the same problem.

  • HP Deskjet F4280: power button flashes f4280 error

I just replaced the two cartrigades of ink. Now it gives me the letter E of the number of copy of task and the power button blinks green. It will not print and I removed the device and reinstalled, off the and disconnected. Still nothing has changed. Can someone help me with this problem? Please, I beg you.

It seems that the printer can be stuck to the execution of a maintenance task, according to this: LINK

I would make sure that the front access door and the cartridge access door are securely closed, or perform a hard reset. These steps are part of the Solution to the "issue: the power LED flashes" section.

If these steps do not erase the error, you can contact HP technical support. Please let me know if it helps.

    > Any suggestions?
There must be a serious problem with electronic power (motherboard) so I guess there is nothing you can do about it. Bring it to the Toshiba service and ask for help.
In such cases mainboard needs to be replaced, so it can be very expensive for you.

Maybe it's time for the new laptop computer.

  • Recovery discs are causing mobile to power down

    Hello

I offered (BIG mistake!  :-) for helping solve my laptop computer brothers after his drive HARD quite dead. I bought a new MK8025GAS exactly like the one that was defective. I tried to recover via the CD two recovery, but whenever the laptop is about 95% and then turns off. So don't give me a car to work with.

I actually it connected to my office, partitioned and formatted and installed XP. Then I used the utilities & tools provided that contains the drivers. Unfortunately, it did not ALL drivers and I had an exclamation mark against some elements include the USB hardware.

So, being that it was not right I decided to try the discs of recovery with exactly the same result. However, because it had to 95' ish % he had killed format etc that I had done earlier.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you. Phil

    Hi Philippe,.

If the laptop turns off unexpectedly with no caveat messageson the screen while the likely cause is overheating. Make sure that the laptop has adequate ventilation because the cooling system cannot function at its best, until the operating system is loaded and the Toshiba power management utility can control the speed of the fan. During the installation process, the fan may operate at a rudimentary level.

    Kind regards
