Restore disks lost recovery partition & Windows XP

If I have two M series Thinkcentres with compatible machine types. Can I use a set of the first Thinkcentre restore disks to install Windows XP on a second Thinkcentre of the factory where the disk partition recovery and install has become corrupted?

As utilities and applications Thinkcentre install under a copy retail Windows XP (installed on a Thinkcentre)?

for example, the software fingerprint reader, Rescue and Recovery, Client Security, etc.

Yes, if the model is the same (same first 4 digits) you can use the recovery on the second machine disks. You will load the disks, and then once this process is complete, you select F11 at startup and then restore the factory state once the load the Windows recovery.

No specific request for Thinkcentre will load with a copy to the detail of Windows. You will need to go to the Lenovo download page and install the applications individually.

    Hello

I bought a new laptop (toshiba satellite) 8 original windows pre-installed,
However, I wanted to repartition my hard drive and without warning I deleted the recovery partition, therefore, the laptop could no longer starts.

So I asked a professional if he could get my laptop to its original factory condition as it was when I bought it (with 8 pre-installed... original windows) in order to sell it later and he told me that it is impossible since I do not have the recovery disk, and the only way to make it work is by installing windows 7.

I have lack of knowledge in it staff that's why, I haven't had not to make a copy of a recovery disk.

Now, as I intend to sell my laptop, I was wondering if there is a possible way to sell me the recovery disk that allow me to back up my laptop to its factory condition (with original windows 8 pre-installed and pre-loaded software of course), and the estimated total costs that I pay.

  • Lost recovery partition

I want to with no player DVD. I lost the recovery partition. I have the recovery disks, can I make a bootable usb from disks to restore my machine?

    Hello:

I think not, because the disks are configured to load one at a time.

So you should be able to make the first bootable disk, but then you will hit a brick wall.

You will need to get your hands on an external USB DVD drive in order to use the recovery discs.

During the recovery process, the disks must re-create the recovery partition.

  • HP OEM Vista restore disks work after installing Windows 7 RC?

The title of the post pretty much everything says. I would like to try the Windows 7 RC, but I also wish I could go back to Vista, at some point. It seemed that the restore disks did not have a complete reinstall the last time (it resets windows pretty quickly). If I load Windows 7 RC, I'll be able to use my restore disks from HP to postpone Vista on my system?

    Thank you

    Pete

If your specific working set of restore disks really depends on if they were created successfully; However, a set of disks of restoration work should certainly work. At least with my CL Pavillion DV-4-1287, Recovery Manager also continued to work after an upgrade to Windows 7, then a reinstallation via clean install without shaped.  Initially, he works with none of the additional steps, in the second, I just need to copy the application on of c:windows.old\program files (x 86) \sminst.  Unless you have reason to do so, while a clean install is the best route, I wouldn't do a format with a clean install, since all your drivers are stored in the Windows.old folder and (dependent on model) the swsetup folder.  Windows 7 can not find the drivers for all devices (five in my case) but on my machine all drivers Vista has of worked - just needed to point the manual driver update function to the appropriate folded equal windows.old or swsetup. BTW, while drivers Vista came with my laptop running Windows 7, the same is not true for some recent updates on the website.

Oh, one last thing would be to update the BIOS before installing Windows 7 from the Flash of the bios Setup program is not yet certified for Windows 7 (no surprise since it's always a BONE development)...

  • Satellite L50 - A - 1 6: restore the preinstalled recovery Partition

    Hi all.

I changed the partition of my HARD drive, now the preistalled Partion Recovery is no longer available.
I understand that in this way, that the partition table has been altered and if the recovery Partition is not found to restore the factory settings or create a recovery disk.

However, the recovery partition is still on the HARD drive and its contents seems to be correct.

Is there a way to make the partition available recovery yet?
(For the moment, I can use the Lalonde by starting a 'live cd')

    Thanks in advance.

    > Is there a way to make the partition available recovery yet?
If I understand the recovery partition is still available, but the problem is that the installation of recovery tool can't find it more. Recovery partition is visible only in the event that this laptop has the factory settings and initially defined partition structure.

Unfortunately now you can start recovery image installation.
Did you create a recovery media according to the instructions described in the user s manuals document?

  • HP Recovery Partition Windows 7

    Hello

I have Hp Dv6 2177ca. It is installed with Windows 7, and recently he has been infected with a nonremoveable virus so I had to format the entire hard drive, including the recovery partition drive.

I have the recovery disk HP where I installed my Windows7, but now there is NO "recovery Partition" (those who use F11).

Please tell me how I can create this recovery partition?

I tried to create it by using the recovery in Windows 7 Manager, as follows:

Term, I typed 'recovery manager' and open the Recovery Manager.

There is option 'System recovery' where he asked me if I wanted to create a "recovery Partition" and asked that I have inserted "Recovery Disk #1".» When I proceed on this issue, restart the computer and windows is loaded but no recovery partition is created.

Please help me create a recovery partition.

    Thank you in advance.

Hmmm... I seemed to work what to do:

Previously on installation of recovery, I me performing the "System Recovery".

But then I did the "Factory Reset" and it solved the problem and created the recovery Partition.

  • Try to restore from the recovery partition

I'm trying to restore my laptop to its original state by using the restore partition.  I formatted the C drive, but the recovery partition was left in place.  Is there a way to do this?  I, unfortunately, do not appear to have the recovery CD I did a disk with Acronis image that seems to be a joke as it will not restore anything.  Would appreciate any advice you can give me at this point.

My laptop was a Vista Home, if that helps.

    Thank you

    Peg

Recovery disks must be always available for your laptop.

  • Restore the OEM recovery Partition

original title: the \installed system recovery

I have a computer with a recovery partition. Player Details indicate 4.5 GB used and remaining 3.7 GB. However when I open the files they indicate only about 120KB, which indicates that the recovery files are either deleted or hidden. I had a reinstallation of vista made by a pro some time ago and could have been erased. Fortunately, I copied files of theses 3 disc DVD before that. Can I recover these files on the system partition or default how to make their return from the disks?

You must contact the manufacturer of questions about the process of recovery and these problems you're having with the recovery partition.  It's their process, not Microsoft.  Each manufacturer does things differently.  They should be able to answer your questions even though I am not sure they can fix the problem (not because I have my doubts, but simply because I don't know how it works).

Contact them and they will help you.

    Good luck!

  • Can I use Windows 7 restore disks to revert to Windows 7 from Windows 10?

I made the mistake of upgrading to Windows 7 to Windows 10.  I tried to reverse the process for about a week now and the only way I "think" I might be able to do is to use Windows 7 original restore disks that I generated from my computer at the time of purchase.  Can I do this?  OR verification codes have already been deleted by my faulty 10 Windows Installer?

Please advise... my install of Windows 10 makes me crazy.  Can I use my old disks of Windows 7 or Windows 7 original verification codes were invalidated by Microsoft when I "upgraded" to Windows 10.

Please advise... my install of Windows 10 makes me crazy.  Can I use my old disks of Windows 7 or Windows 7 original verification codes were invalidated by Microsoft when I "upgraded" to Windows 10.

Product keys do not become invalid. Moreover, if your restore disks contains an image of your installation then you will not have any key at all.

If you want to enter the recovery partition.  The D: drive? OK if this is the case you will need to do is open COMPUTER in the start menu. Then click on ORGANIZE from the top left corner. Then go into the folder AND SEARCH OPTIONS. Once the RECORDS OPTIONS window is open the 3 tabs at the top choose DISPLAY. Then scroll down and select VIEW the HIDDEN FILES AND FOLDERS. Then uncheck HIDE the FILES of OPERATING SYSTEM PROTECTED.  Once this is done, you can access the recovery partition.

I have a Compaq Presario CQ57 339WM I did a recovery partition on. After, I restarted the laptop and "BOOTMGR" is missing. Could someone instruct me on how to install the BOOTMGR in the boot sector, please? Thank you.

After turning on the laptop-everything computer as the first black screen begins to tap the F8 key to start in advanced boot to choose repair start pass system. Not that it can take up to 3 times before it is repaired.

  • Can I choose between Windows 7 / 8 for the restoration of the recovery partition?

I bounced here of the US forum... The laptop - P50 (PSPMHA-01D00L) was bought in New Zealand of second hand, but was originally bought at Christmas Leeming in New Zealand.

A colleague bought one earlier in 2013 and has been able to choose between Windows 7 and 8 times the PC started first to the top.

Who is going to be the case if I perform the same function now, given that Windows 8 has already been chosen by the previous owner, and I prefer Windows 7?

I would try it, but I prefer to have an idea of what might happen - for example is it necessary to enter a product key at any time (there is no CoA with a product key to this topic).

    TIA,
    R

    Hello

I am from Europe and it is unclear to me how it works with portable computers on other continents, but I think it must be the similar principle as here in Europe.
What you can do now is to install original recovery image and see what options will be available first boot after installation of recovery image.

Think about a recovery media too. Use the preinstalled recovery media creator and create recovery DVD or USB.

  • Not enough space on disk for the Partition: Windows Bootcamp

iMac (retina 4K, 21.5 inches, end of 2015)

Processor: Intel Core i5 to 3.1 GHz

    Memory: 6 GB 1867 MHz DDR3

Graphics card: Intel Pro Iris Graphics 6200 1536 MB

    The OSX Version: 10.11.4

I tried to download windows for my iMac. I bought the full version via USB for it. I followed these instructions: create an ISO image for Windows - Apple Support installation media Boot Camp to create my own ISO image. I did, and I ejected from disk image Windows "10" as he told me too.

When I go to download the support software and partition it, he will get after downloading the Windows Support software, then to halfway in partition the drive, it will say "disk does not of enough space to be partitioned. (PS) The "BOOTCAMP" image will appear on the desktop until it says the message and then will disappear and the message will occur.

I fixed the disc and it defragmented. It's a lot I put 300 concerts for the Partition. I don't know what is happening.

I've also entered the recovery disc and repaired this way.

I'm on the forums before I decided to call Apple.

    Thank you.

If I use the recovery discs (3) and the disk driver and application to re - install Windows 7 on my Acer Aspire 7740-5691 will restore the recovery partition. The recovery partition is 11,72 GB and 100% free space and in good health, according to the information in disk management. I don't know how the recovery partition wiped but the computer is running right now. The discs were made when I bought this computer about 5 years ago. The HDD is 320 GB, the processor is intel quad core i3, ram is 4 GB. Thanks in advance for your comments and information. Oscar1

Acer erecovery media will restore your laptop to factory default, so, Yes, it will restore the original recovery partition too.

Am tempted to turn off space low attention entirely... but not desirable?

Only solution I see is to use a disk partitioning tool C: reduce and enlarge d:?   Is what he... or is there an option that I'm still learning?
And WHY in the default config is disabled on C and enabled on D system files?
