Restore my files to boot windows without a floppy or CD disc drive.

Hi all, I recently downloaded and installed Kaspersky Anti-Virus and after installation, I did a full system scan. It crashed twice an hour in the scan so I rebooted and tried again third time lucky and analysis seemed to go without a hick and my last audit was passed to the point that it had frozen the last time and it was flat to the analysis of the files. I turned off the screen and lay in bed to watch TV... I woke up 2 hours later to the natural sound of my computer restart itself over and over and over and over again. Long story short;

I can't start on the login screen,

I get a screen black when you think of as the login screen is coming

Safe mode, safe with order, last known... etc etc etc, all are not continuous working - the computer to restart,

I scanned and then internet up and down and it seems that a windows file has been removed the kernel or something like that.

I downloaded countless programs to try to start from but they seem to all be designed for floppy drive and although my pc has a floppy drive, the laptop that I use to download programs does not work.

Can someone please send a link to a place I can goto, download a startup program I can put on CD using Sonic burning software and then insert into the pc and have it boot from that and fix what I have to.

Before anyone says I do NOT have a XP disk, I had one, but I lent it to my father to see if it would be useful to repair xp on his laptop computer and therefore is out with him in an argument, and I have never seen him or disc since.

The STOP error report I get is;

F stop: c000021a 0 x 0000005 (0x00000000 0x00000000)

Any light anyone could throw on this situation would be greatly appreciated.

Oh and I forgot, I just got the computer working again a problem I had with it, about 2 years ago, he got that frustrating PC has spent the last 2 years in the space between the roof and about 2 weeks ago, I brought down and started working on it with a cool head again , I thought I did (and I don't remember what I did to make it work again (lots of swearing, kicking and pray I think!)) In any case, I managed to get the system to work and not come with the famous Exploer has encountered a problem and needs to close the dialog and restart every time after, I thought that someone had invented a new virus that not everyone was on the height and given enough time the internet was coming down with people who had the same problem and is working on a way to solve IT where the 2 years in the roof space. Everything was fine apart from the fact that most of the programs I had installed in the start menu has gone and replaced with simple records, say the word desktop.something or other, my tools of sytem folder was empty, nero has disappeared-everything was a mess. I worked hard to delete unknown files, diagnostic programs, and I thought I was above it, a download gave me my system tools folder and all was well until... After about 5 days of work with no problems, I've been Googling for the Met Office weather report because of the snow and I was redirected to other sites, tried again and again and still same thing - another search-same thing - browser-same thing different...

Kaspersky, I thought that would hold the answer so I downloaded that has started to run a scan and you the top of the page of history, incredible scanning-crash-scanning-crash-scanning-rebooting.

Yet once any light which may be paid on any of these problems would be really appreciated that these problems are ongoing for so long it feels like a never-ending problem, and I don't see any hope at the end of the tunnel.

Thanks again and Merry Christmas to ALL!

Hi Slayer_2029,

· What is the number and the model of the computer?

· What is the service pack installed?

· What was the result of the last known good configuration?

As you said you've already tried safe mode, last known good configuration, and yet the results are negative. You may need to contact the manufacturer for additional troubleshooting disk.

You must either have the XP CD or you will need to create floppy drive.

You can check the link on how to solve the problem on the error 0xC000021A below:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/156669

Merry Christmas to you too!

The bkf files are specific to the Windows XP Backup program and may not be
    used in Windows 8.

Your only recourse is to find an XP system and to restore bkf files
He can use a third-party program to save them, so that they can be
restored using this program on Windows 8. Or instead of a third party
backup program, if you don't have too much data, you can simply be
able to copy them to a CD, DVD or thumb drive so they can be copied
    the machine to Windows 8.

for some reason when I saved a file in another file it changed my entire system to play windows media center nonstop... now he always plays and I can't control it.

My husband has had the same problem for another reason however, he managed to correct the problem by restarting the computer... by pressing the F8 key at all times as it has been restarted.  It opens a window which says "fix."  In this form it was to "restore the computer to an earlier date" as one of his choices.  Go back as much as necessary and click on restore.  It fixed my problem.  I have tried many other alternatives and this is what finally worked.  Another option reopened as Media Center.  Good luck.
  • How can I set up to dual boot Windows 7 and XP on 2 separate drives?

I have a new hard drive and a new DVD Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit upgrade. I want to keep my old hard drive with the ability to work under XP. Can I just install my new drive in any open slot, and then start from my DVD? I'll be able to start on the player of my choice? How does with the marking of the readers? And it defaults to Windows 7 whenever I start my computer? How I will be when you start the disk with XP?

    Hi ohyanet:

Since you are using a version of 'Upgrade' of Win7 it will assume the license of the prior XP operating system and the Microsoft EULA says that you can no longer use your XP operating system on any computer.  To dual boot with XP'd you need to buy a version "full" of Win7, not an upgrade.  When you install Win7 it will make a copy of XP called Windows.old in your drive (C :) and you can copy the files from it to your new O.S. of Win7, but you will need to re - install all the applications from the original media.)

  • System Restore (with backup) for Windows XP how to restore the files from here?

I saw the other posts for this but they have not answered the question. When I look in the C drive, and open the folder backup (backup C:\My--01/12/23 1134 AM), my photos, videos and documents are not available or are invisisble. When I tried to make hidden files visible, all my desktop icons and all the Start Menu program buttons disappear. I can see the files when I search with a software such as jdiskreport - 1.4.0, but I'm unable to move with this program. When I tried to move them with jdisk... they is locked in the tree of files of jdiskreport. Whenever these trees of missing or file icons has locked, I had to restore to the good previous restore point. In my view, the full restoration of the system (with backup) fails and should be avoided at all costs.

So, if someone knows a way to access these files, I would appreciate the help of course. And please, no answers don't like "cannot not you just copy and paste?" because it is not currently a solution until the files are visible without erasing my desktop and the Start Menu.

    Hello

Select the advanced restore options to restore the files. See the steps in the following article.

  • Reinstall Windows without losing personal files

I have an external hard drive I have Windows 7 on, but recently it seems to have got some corrupted files because it does not start. It gets past the windows splash screen, and then sits down with a cursor on a black screen. I can move the mouse cursor.

I think that the best way to solve this problem would be to reinstall all windows files.
I can plug the hard drive into another computer and view the files of the operating system of the computer.
In short, what I'm asking if there's a way to reinstall all files in windows without losing all my personal files

You can perform a custom installation.

Boot from the Windows 7 DVD
    Click Install now
    Accept the license agreement
When the option is displayed to select a type of installation, click (Custom advanced)

Select the disk partition where you want to install Windows 7 click Next.

You will receive the following warning:

The partition you have selected may contain files from a previous Installation of Windows. If so, these files and folders will be moved to a folder named Windows.old. You will be able to access the information in Windows.old, but you will be able to use your previous version of Windows.

(At all costs, do NOT click on anything in Format, deletion or Partition name.) So even do a custom installation, your personal files are still kept. Click OK

The installation program will now begin installation. During installation, your computer will be restarted several times.

Once the installation is complete, you can complete the Out of Box experience as the choice of your laptop, create a username, password, your time zone. You can then proceed to download the latest updates for Windows and reinstall your applications and drivers.

You can then retrieve your personal files from the Windows.old folder and reinstall all of your applications and drivers.

  • Boot Camp supports only Windows 7 or later installation on that platform. Please use a file ISO of Windows 7 or later installation.

    Hello

I tried to fix this for hours, I hope someone can help me.

I downloaded the ISO "Win10_1607_English_x64.iso" (4.29 GB) file and with him came a "info.plist" (2 KB), so they are both on my 64 GB USB Drive (format: MS-DOS (FAT32)) called 'WINSTALL '.

I have the ISO on the USB key, and it is selected as the ISO image in Boot Camp. I also have the USB the disk of destination selected, and yet I get this error:

Your bootable USB key could not be created

Boot Camp supports only Windows 7 or later installation on that platform. Please use a file ISO of Windows 7 or later installation.

I'm currently under OS X El Capitan Version 10.11.6 on my iMac (21.5 inch, end 2012) that is compatible with Windows 10.

If anyone can help me I honestly love so much, I tried contacting Apple Support staff by phone, they said that they can't do anything, I tried to contact their Live Chat, but none of this has helped to solve the problem, and I tried to look online, but can't find too much.

Thanks in advance for any answer!

What OSX Version do you have? This site gives the requirements of Bootcamp: minimum system requirements to install Windows on your Mac with Boot Camp - Apple Support. And you did an upgrade? Could it be that the upgrade will not correctly for the OS?

Looking at the 10 Windows version you downloaded, is the update of birthday, which was released less than a month ago. It could be that Apple is not reconisgin the Windows version when reading the disk, because it is too recent. I don't know if you have access to the download of the previous generation and do a Windows update?

In general, I was ignorant, but recently my PC feels like it becomes less stable.

I'm surprised that it returns no results on any search engine.

Assuming that your spelling is correct, your computer is probably infected by malicious software. Download, update and perform a quick scan with Malwarebytes.

    E-mail

MY Windows Vista had to be restored on my computer.  I lost my e-mail folders that I had saved.  Is there anyway to restore these files?

Messages are stored as eml files.  Is there no eml files, then there is no message.  Check in the windows.old directory if there is one, because it may contain old data.  The location of the message in Vista store is c:\users\[username]\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows mail, so you might check there.
