You restored your computer for some reason any.

And now you have problems after using the HP recovery process.
It seems to me that you might have another problem inyour computer.

I had virus protection total defence installed. This occurred immediately after.

    Hello

Thanks for your answer to my question. I was about to start step 2, by performing a boot minimum when a message pops up informing that 2 programs were slowing down my computer and also to stop because they were also running. Ironically, these programs I've ever used has appeared on my computer advertising protection against viruses and to speed up the computer.

I did not purchase the license if it comes to start up all the 3 or 4 days telling me that my computer is slow.

I uninstalled both programs, which I won't mention for obvious reasons and the event system Com + message did not return after the computer has restarted 3 times. Apparently, the problem has been resolved, but I will continue to have oversight. If the problem returns I'll restart and inform you about the results.  Thanks again for your expertise. guavaridgemb

Scan your computer by using the Microsoft Safety Scanner by clicking Download now to check if there is no virus infected:

    Hi chrismarks1,

I think you can be confused bookmarks with thumbnails. If you click on the miniatures Page icon (the one above the bookmarks icon), you can delete a page by clicking on its thumbnail, clicking the delete page (icon of the Recycle Bin). Just make sure that you see the PDF file in Acrobat (rather than Acrobat Reader), you cannot remove the drive pages.

  • Problem: When I turn on the computer, windows setup box appears and is installing a file

After getting the "preparing to install" message, another message comes up saying "Please wait while windows configures roxio media manager.

Then another message comes up saying "gathering required information".
"The feature you are trying to use is on a network unavailable resource."

"Click OK to try again or enter a different path to the folder containing the installation package 'Roxio Media Manager. MSI' area points to the following path C:\Documents and Settings\Jeffrey Brown\Application is In Motion. BlackBerry\Updates\6852A378-7780-4e80-B65-343C8D2C36AE\SR_MM\

I have the Blackberry desktop manager installed on my computer and I also got a message saying there were some updates, but I was never able to download updates, if there are.

How can I get rid of this process that appears everytime I turn on the computer?

We had the same questions and the same messages.  Whenever you should cancel the installation, he returned again and again and much slowed down the system.  I canceled the installation of Roxio (but he kept coming back and coming back, he finally trying to cancel) and then used Windows install Cleaner. I found when I tried to install the vacuum it was already installed on the PC.  I ran and it worked with no run-time error.  I stopped and restarted and not have Roxio stuff want to install.

  • Black screen when I turn on the computer, press F1 and error message: disk hard imminent failure

When I turn on my computer laptop black screen saying I have to press F1 to continue, it says after that... disk failure hard immenent what can I do besides spend more than 200. OO, I don't?

    Hello

Chances are the hard drive failed, but it could be wiring or other materials.

Check with the system manufacturer's support, their documentation online and ask in their forums
(if any). Most have instructions to replace the hard drive.

You can usually buy a hard drive for alternatives for less than $100,00 and maybe much less. Or the other
get the same one or the same size.  System manufacturers usually several models if you
the same can buy cheaper. And there will be others who are of the same size and type which
can be used. Your local computer store can help select an appropriate player.

Here is an example of how to replace the hard drive on some HP computers for example. Most
other manufacturers are similar, and there are many generic examples on the internet.

    Hi SteveKinney,

    ·         What version of Windows is installed on your computer?

    ·         What is the exact error message?

    ·         Did you do changes on the computer before the show?

Follow the suggestions below for a possible solution:

Method 1: Start in safe mode and do a System Restore to a point before the show.

See Advanced startup options (including safe mode) for more information about starting in safe mode.

Method 2: See the following articles and check if the problem still persists.

  • . All of my Windows mail folders were empty and all applications on the toolbar are dark, when I turned on the computer. How can I get back them?

My husband and I share the same email address and use the same computer.  All e-mails and applications on the toolbar 'his side' of the computer are very good, but me disappeared including send/receive.   I got emails that I downloaded, but do not read.  There an idea of how to recover emails and applications?

It is not at all what you mean by the 'toolbar '.   You use Windows Mail in Vista?  If so, you can search the *.eml try to locate emails (see www.oehelp.com/backup.aspx#wm for background), but you will need to provide more information, because it is not clear if you do not see the files or toolbars in WinMail (try to view |) Page layout) or if your all start menu disappeared.  You can also try a system restore, but it seems that you should also check for viruses and malware, according to your description.

I run an xp windows 2003-04. My computer does not start completely and if I click on debug or put end to the program there just restarts the computer. How can I solve this problem? and is it possible that I can update my software?

You say that you can not even start in Safe Mode, so method 1 will not help you, method 2 will not help you and 3 method will not help you.

I start in the XP Recovery Console and first run a chkdsk/r on the afflicted system, but since we don't know anything about your system, we will need more information.

It is a shame that in the forums MS Answers, the first response to a new question is (or should be) a request for more information...  You are 5 days in your problem, and so for him it seems that you are not getting anywhere.  If the thread goes inactive for more than a few days, the response of the Microsoft Support Engineer will become the 'response' automatically because it has links to the KB articles.

Since the Microsoft Answers forum does not have any kind of information system request when a new question is asked, we know absolutely nothing about your system.  Not knowing the basic information a problem prolongs the frustration and the agony of these issues.

Thank you MS Answers, allowing the resolution of simple problems as frustrating and a lot of time as possible.

Provide information on your system, the better you can:

What is your system brand and model?

What is your Version of XP and the Service Pack?

Your system have IDE or SATA disks?

Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc..

The question was preceded by a loss of power, aborted reboot or abnormal termination?  (this includes the plug pulling, buttons power, remove the battery, etc.)

The afflicted system has a working CD/DVD (internal or external) drive?

You have a genuine XP installation CD bootable, which is the same Service as your installed Service Pack (this is not the same as any recovery CD provided with your system)?

If the system works, what do you think might have changed since the last time it did not work properly?
