Result of the incorrect calculation

Hi all

I am creating a new logic of the columns in the business layer based on two existing columns:

Column1/Column2 * 100 (columns 1 and 2 are aggregate amount)

When I test the multiplication in the report is not made. I have just the result of the division

What could be the problem?

Concerning

Published by: aharrab_be on January 14, 2009 07:59

try 100 * (column1/column2)
or
(100 * column1) /column2

with the brackets.

If 100 does not work, try 100.00

  • Make the result of the empty calculation if a factor is equal to 0

    I found a similar discussion with this thread, but it didn't answer exactly what I needed. I wish that the result of a calculation that is simple to be empty if a factor is empty or zero.

    For example, I have a calcuation C field that is the sum of the fields A and B. A will always have a value, but B does not. If B is empty or 0, I C does not show any output value. Is this possible in Acrobat? Thank you.

    Sure. A custom calculation script might look like:

    (function () {}

    Get the first value in the field, as a number

    var v1 = + getField("text1").value;

    Get the second field value, as a string

    var S2 = getField("text2").valueAsString;

    Converts a string to a number;

    var v2 = + s2

    Set this field to the sum value if the second field is not empty or if not equal to zero

    Event.Value = s2 & v2! == 0 ? v1 + v2;:

    })();

    end;
    Gives a different result:
    Result 89.49999999999999999999999999999999999996

    If I change and give my variable tmp, a precision and scale, (38.36) say the result is 89.5.

    If they are same oracle does not guarantee which line will be the first to find the rownum = 1, unless you specify another attribute in the order by clause.

  • Why can I get two different results from the same coefficients?

    I get two different results of the evaluation of the polynomial function.

    Hello

    Thanks for posting your query on the Microsoft Community.

    According to the description of the problem, it seems that you are facing the question with the reinstallation of Windows 7 on your computer.

    Because the computer does not recognize the CD - R into the DVD player probably boot order is set to hard drive first. I suggest to change the DVD boot priority in the BIOS and then try to perform the Startup Repair.

    Note: BIOS change / semiconductor (CMOS) to complementary metal oxide settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

    In order to make changes in the BIOS, I suggest you to contact the manufacturer of the computer.

    Method 1:

    Unplug all external devices connected to the computer with the exception of the keyboard and mouse and check if the problem persists.

    M odes 2:

    If the problem persists try the Startup Repair. It is one of the recovery tools in the System Recovery Options menu. This set of tools is on your computer's hard disk and on the Windows installation disc. To learn more about Startup Repair , you can refer to the below mentioned article:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/Startup-Repair-frequently-asked-questions

    Method 3:

    In addition, if startup repair is not enough, you can perform a system restore, check if it helps you to solve the problem. For reference, you can see the article mentioned below.

    What are the system recovery options in Windows 7?

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/what-are-the-system-recovery-options-in-Windows-7

    Note: when you perform the system restore to restore the computer to a previous state, programs and updates that you have installed are removed.

    Hope it would help. If problem persists always post back with the current state of your computer and the result of the proposed suggestion, we will be happy to help you.

    Kind regards

  • The results in the debugger do not correspond with the result in the xml output is spent OPA

    Hello

    I use the OPM Version 10.4.6. I am facing a problem where I have a result field which is calculated by OPM in session of the debugger gives the correct result. While the same field has a different value in the output xml file passed from OPA to another system. Please give some advice on above question.

    Kind regards

    Mounia

    Sorry, I did not respond earlier. Do you have a support call opened in this regard, otherwise there is someone who has a very similar problem.

    I answered internally on this and the problem seems to be that of mathematical accuracy and very low values, which are then compared with zero. The debugger uses a .net implementation that can give slightly different numerical values at the extremes. I think that your rules would benefit from a degree of rounding applied before you test for equality with anything. Note the type of value that I've seen is 4-16

    I have provided more information to Schneider, who also provided a (Simplified) modules and some sample data.

    The debugger uses essentially the same engine of determinations and in general, you will see exactly the same result except that you've discovered to some extremely small numbers. In your case even if the value is 4-16 in the debugger and 0 in the API (or vice versa) the effect that has on the logic is that a single value is zero, so that the other does not which translates an extra 1000 added and results of 1000 and 2000 respectively.

  • Adobe Captivate 7 - is the review of the results of the quiz based on the types of questions?

    Adobe Captivate 7 provides the function that you can review the questions, and you can see which of them have answered correctly and that one of them has responded incorrectly. In my e-learning project, there is an exercise that consists of multiple choice questions and drag and drop tasks. This question / task landslides are among the content slides, this means for example after 5 content slides are a 2 slides, it issues then 3 content slides and slide 1 question and so on. The results of all the types of questions - multiple choice questions, drag and drop - are included in the results of the quiz. At the end of the e-learning the 'quiz' results slide comes with the button "check Quiz." I tested this function after exporting the e-learning of Adobe Captivate7. I noticed the following: If you click on the button "check Quiz" the learner back to all the question slides he or she responded. For that on question slides were automatically placed the buttons 'next' and 'back' and the 'inspection' on the ground it is written what the learner has responded to the two first questions are multiple choice questions. There, it works fine the two buttons will appear. After clicking on the button 'next' on the first question slide that contains a multiple choice question, the learner is the second slide of the question, which also contains a multiple choice question. The third issue is a task of drag / move. He do not appear the buttons so the quiz review stops and there is no field 'inspection '.

    How do I review the quiz works correctly despite types of questions?

    You will need to create the buttons that you want the slide D & D and format them to look like buttons on the other Quiz slides. Then hide them by deselecting "Visible output" in the properties panel.

    For these D & D slides, you will need a conditional action advanced or shared to be triggered on enter. The action will check the value of the system variable cpInReviewMode, which is a Boolean with the value of 1 by Captivate when you're in playback mode. If its value is in fact = 1 show you the hidden buttons. If you group these buttons, you will need only a single command:

    IF cpInReviewMode is equal to 1

  • Is it possible to use formulas (for example 'if' or VLOOKUP functions) in the "custom calculation Script?

    I'm working on a PDF form fill converted from MS excel. It is for others to use who do not have MS excel required to use my spreadsheet.

    2. where can I find it that the formulas will work in the calculation script custom as well as the format of these formulas work properly (tutorials would help)?

    I tried to write an 'if' function but I get and error so I guess that is functions do not work in the script, or there is a different format of spreadsheet standard formats.

    .

    In this case the loop would be:

    for (var i = 0; i)< 8;="" i="" +="1)">

    sum += + getField("Total."_+_i).value;

    }

    So initially, the counter i is zero, so the domain name used with the getField method is:

    'Total': + 0, which results in the string "Total.0". At each iteration, the variable i is incremented by 1, so the following field names are the following:

    "Total.1".

    "Total.2".

    'Total.3 '.

    'Total.4 '.

    'Total.5 '.

    'Total.6 '.

    "World.7.

    The script gets the value of each field, it converts numbers and adds the number to the cumulation.
