  The mailbox list is divided into categories with such topics on my Mac. When you position the cursor on one of these positions (with the exception of the mailboxes), you should see the Word display / hide it on the right. Click view. The category of mailboxes cannot be hidden.

  Check your account via webmail to ensure that the server is not having any problems.  If this isn't a problem, so if you are using Windows Mail, try to delete your account, compact and repair the database (see www.oehelp.com/WMUtil/), and then add your account again.  Make sure too that no anti-virus software does interfere (see www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3).

  I have 4 email accounts. When I open Thunderbird, it will go immediately to search email in my gmail account, but not other accounts. I have to wait 10 minutes for Thunderbird to the arrival of new messages or just manually tell her to go get the mail on other accounts.

  I'm trying to retrieve/view old e-mail my Time Machine ups back. I am backup on an external hard drive.

  When I get TM since the Mail, search application 'in time' does not work. If I go TM said Finder, or from the desktop, it works fine.

  Although you can restore a snapshot of Time Machine messages in the Mail application, it usually will not work with messages that were saved by an outdated version of the mail. In this case, you must use another method.

  Please triple - click anywhere in the line below on this page to select:

  ~/Library/Mail

  Right-click or Ctrl-click on the highlighted line and select

  Services ▹ Open

  the contextual menu.* should open a folder.

  Enter Time Machine and scroll to the snapshot that you want to restore from. The folder named "Mail" are subfolders named "V2" and/or "V3" (according to the version of Mac OS X that was used at the time that the snapshot was taken.) Inside of one of these subfolders are several subfolders representing your e-mail accounts. The name refers to the email addresses that you use. Select the account folders you want and then select restore... to... in the action menu (gear icon) in the toolbar of the Snapshot window. Restore the files on the desktop and not in their original location.

  Import the mailbox in the folders that you restored to the office. The imported messages appear in a new mailbox. Move those you want to keep everywhere where you want and delete the rest. Then, delete the files on the desktop.

  Go to your webmail site > login to your account. See if the mail is still on the server.

  The problem when research appears to be an old one recently coming back - many incomplete references are found by simply searching for error codes.   I have NEED of TRUE ANSWERS to how a FIX IT, it seems that microsoft and Norton do like eachother according to many comments in the forums... need real HELP, answers not simplistic playbook... that is to say yes my name is typed correctly... etc etc.    What has recently come cause this problem?   old server patches are not possbile - in order not to go there.    Windows 7 is nice, but there are 32/64-bit and subtle incompatibilities issues that are people.     HELP HELP HELP.

  A Server POP3 locking can occur on the server, if you check the messages without leaving sufficient time between the two controls.  A recommended minimum interval is 5 minutes.

  I have the same problem - but so far I have not found a solution! My ISP is Tiscali. If I connect & Download emails from my Tiscali account using the PC of my wife (via Windows Live Mail) all right. If I then try (with your PC off) the same thing on my PC (using the same router) I receive messages if I started the 'cold' PC, but when I downloaded the messages, the POP3 server crashes, causing a blockage of POP3. As a result, I can not any more messages (or send) until I turned off the PC and restarted. I tried to set up a completely new user account and also to move all my emails to a safe place, uninstall Windows Live Mail and then re-install, but neither radical movements has solved the problem. I also tried to switch to Thunderbird, but that didn't fix it either. There is obviously something 'beyond' Windows Live Mail which is not challenged after that the last message was received, which causes the POP3 lock. I hope that someone technical who reads this will know where and what it is and we tell how to fix this!
