retrieve the value column access via the variable name of the column

I need to build a function of validation with this condition:

The data model is like this:

We have an array of items_general, with its id and data.

Then we have specific tables, let's say... item_especific1, item_especific2 item_especificn. They have the same as the table of the item_general pk and fk against item_general

Each element is in one of the tables item_specific and items_general.

Now, the validation feature: I need to check for an element, if some special columns of the item_especificx table are null and will raise an error if this occurs.

I got the name of especific_table and the list of names of particular column stored in another table.

I guess I can browse this list of column table to build a clause concatening Dynamics 'and' | column_name | 'is nothing', but I'm not a big fan of the dynamic sql.

Can you think of a better solution? Any way to access the value of the column by using the column name, as if it were a varchar2 key index?

Nope, no filter.

When you have a funky data like that model, you're destined to dynamic sql and other assortment of headaches.

In short... you can't. The channels are channels, and SQL and PL languages dictate that the string literals are provided within single quotes.

I don't see how trying to retrieve more than 200 records of employees in the select statement means that you must get rid of the quotes.

I'm curious to know why you want to change the parameter STATISTICS_LEVEL across the session. There is probably a good reason for the change, but the WHOLE setting can cause significant performance problems (10.x seems to be more affected by the change, more noticeable with Oracle database type nested loops joins).

This operation is performed within a Thread, so I can't directly use the Dialog.Ask () because it translates into the exception "Engine UI consulted without holding the lock of the event". I used this code sample to get the dialog to the user

You usually use

Synchronized (UiApplication.getEventLock ())

or

UiApplication.getUiApplication (.invokeLater)

There's no value in using both at the same time.

In this case, the Dialog.ask returns an int, that indicates the result. The doc of the API:

Returns:
The selection of your choice (not the index) value, as must be returned by getSelectedValue(). For example, CANCEL, OK or DELETE are among the possible return values.

Thus, you can code something like:

int i = Dialog.ask (...);

Treat the i then returned.

Without doubt, you actually want to return the result in your calling Thread. I don't know how "legal", it is, but you might be able to get away with:

selectedChoice int = - 1;

{Synchronized (UiApplication.getEventLock ())}
selectedChoice = Dialog.ask (.);

}

If you can't do that, then look to split the treatment at the time of questions and using a DialogClosedListener to the decision of the user process. I don't know there are other options, just of can't think right now.

I think that you have not worked on adf 12.1.3. In adf 12.1.3 you don't have to explicitly create the association. When you create the EO to your table, Association xxxxFkAssoc, will be created by ADF12.1.3 for you automatically. Please try this and do not answer anything... You can also follow the links below.
