Return of form data format

Thank you for taking the time to read my question. I use Adobe Acrobat Pro X. I have created a form and it works well. My question comes from a wait when I thought that I would be able to have the data returned in a string, or a comma string separated and not in a .pdf. file

Is it possible to do?

Example:

I send the pdf form to a user, the user fill it out, and when they send it to me, I just get the form data in an e-mail message, not the entire form.

Thank you

Brad

Excel does not support FDF or XFDF.  Rather than choosing the option on your action button to "Submit a form", change to "Run a JavaScript" and press the Add button.  After changing the mailto address, paste the following script:

this.submitForm({)
cURL: "mailto:[email protected]',"
cSubmitAs: 'XML '.
})

Any fields left blank will be included in the returned data.  If you want them to be included, or if you want that the differently structured XML, then an optional parameter can be added to the function call above (oXML).  However, it can be complex depending on your needs for implementation of the XML data object to assign to oXML.

  • How to validate the columns in tabular form date?

    Hello

    I have two columns in tabular form date

    1.start_date 2.End_date so here I need validate the end_date shouldn't be less than column start_date

    so any solution for this?

    Hello

    use a validation of type "Function returning a Boolean" and the following code:

    IF to_date(:YOUR_END_DATE,'YYYY-MM-DD') < to_date(:YOUR_START_DATE,'YYYY-MM-DD') THEN RETURN FALSE;
    ELSE RETURN TRUE;
    END IF;

    The date format is of course your choice.

    I hope this helps...

  • Validation - validate if the field has a date format appropriate or a number

    Hello

    I have 2 of my form fields... we're the date type and the other is of type number... may I know how to validate if the field has the correct date/number format...

    Please advice how to write "Validation" of the APEX feature to accomplish the foregoing.

    Thank you

    can I know how to validate if the field has the correct date/number format...

    The most effective way is simply to try to convert to the type required (using format masks there) in a function to return a Boolean validation:

    declare

      n number;

    begin

      n := to_number(:p1_num_item);

      return true;

    exception

      when value_error or invalid_number
      then
        return false;

    end;

    and

    declare

      d date;

    begin

      d := to_date(:p1_date_item, 'DD-MON-YYYY');

      return true;

    exception

      when others
      then
        if sqlcode between -1899 and -1800
        then
          -- Date format error
          return false;
        else
          -- Unexpected error
          raise;
        end if;

    end;

    my date is in the following format: DD-MMM-AA

    There is no format 'MMM' model. And do not use 2-digit year formats: which caused bad enough already.

    Hi all.

    I'm really frustrated format of date/time of Messages on my iPhone6 (and also on my OS - X).

    What the main reason for the use of the words 'Today', 'Yesterday', 'Saturday' and other?

    Who need this lyrical sh * t? All my friends is also frustrated by this function, because if you need a specific date for the quote or shipping screen, you will need to do a lot of unnecessary travel.

    I mean - if you want to find something and need to translate "what the date was Saturday?", you need to go to calendar and look here, what date was Saturday.

    Apple !

    Please, I beg you! Make this switchable feature!

    This date format looks like completely unnecessary and useless decoration.

    Simply return the precise date.

  • Problem with the conversion of getDate() to Date format?

    Hi guys,.

    I need to convert the date selected for DateField string format (for example: yyyy-mm-dd).

    I put the date format DateField as "mm-dd-yyyy '.»

    I tried to get the date of this DateField and tried to convert the format 'yyyy-mm-dd ".

    When I tried, I had a bad outing.

    For example, when I selected 12 months he returned as "00" the following coding.

    SimpleDateFormat dtFormat = new SimpleDateFormat("yyyy-mm-dd");
    Date dtToConvert = new Date(mydatefield.getDate());
    strRequired = dtFormat.formatLocal(dtToConvert);

    Can someone explain what that is the bug with this code or any other way to get the output as my requirement?

    Thanks in advance,

    Oops, sorry, code should have been...

    DateFormat df = new SimpleDateFormat("yyyy/MM/dd");
    long dateLong = field.getDate();

  • Convert the Period_Name in GL_JE_Lines table to a date format and then come back year

    I'm working on a data model BI Publisher and I try to convert the Period_Name in GL_JE_Lines table to a date format and then return of the year.

    The sql below works in 11i, but I can't make it work in Fusion.

    to_char (to_date (l. )) period_name , ' MON-RR ' ),'YYYY')

    Any ideas?

    Hi Jennifer,.

    To_char (sysdate, 'DDMONYYYY') in BI Publisher does not return a correct results due NLS_DATE_FORMAT/DATE_LANGUAGE settings.

    According to the standards of the I18N, NLS_DATE_LANGUAGE in the database is still hardcoded to NUMERIC_DATE_LANGUAGE. NUMERIC_DATE_LANGUAGE 'MY' in a date format mask is an integer, so you see the correct value.

    You're not supposed to publish direct SQL with fixΘe format masks (unless it's some sort of canonical format used in internal processing, including the end-user will not be), you should return language digital date to the mid range and then make the formatting of y.

    Workaround

    Try adjusting the NLS_LANGUAGE in SQL data model to override formatting from of the

    Data base and values of the Session, for ex: select to_char (sysdate, 'MON-DD-YYYY', 'NLS_DATE_LANGUAGE = AMERICAN') of double;

    I got this Oracle support after lifting a SR.

    Thank you

    MK,

    As I've said several times, the format of an object of type 'Date' have no significance. You can just skip the date object to the PL/SQL (format are not important, if passing as Date).

    You can refer to the blog below if you want to see how to move Date of page to PL/SQL. : Oracle tips of Johny: OAF: sample code to call the PL/SQL of OA Framework procedure

    Also to check format specifc #2 and #3 format (not not mandatory in this case, I guess): Oracle advice of Johny: OFA/ADF/Java: playing with Dates in Oracle Application Framework

  • Submitting form data (FDF, XML, HTTP)

    Hello

    I have problems with all the options and restrictions to understand how best to present the form data so that he can talk to other applications like databases.

    I would like to a field on a form where, while filling out the form, a person can type in an ID number and a query to a database returns the name, address, telephone etc.. The user then continues to fill in other parts of the form that were not complete the request.

    I understand that this will require an event onblur with JS or maybe a button?

    I wish that the request to be sent to a listener application I can write in java and will be listening on localhost.

    Users of the form can use player or the browser Chrome.

    I can design the form in LC or Acrobat DC mode.

    I can't add folder level scripts.

    This kind of thing is possible - there seems to be a lot of conflicting information. I've read a lot about TOT, but I don't know if the FDF can be used to "Refresh" (or the word "flatten") while the form is open.

    See you soon

    -Al

    Which is more complicated it must be. It seems that there is a local program that acts as a web server, the form may be subject to. Don't communicate the "HTML" is fine, and probably the easiest to analyze, but the data for any number of fields can be returned in a TOT, so there's no need to load a new form. This was possible because the forms were introduced with Acrobat/Reader 3 and similar to what AJAX provides HTML Forms.

    I wonder how it is possible to install a web server and scripts to process the form posts but not at the level records JavaScript for Acrobat/Reader.

  • Date format in the supporting - attachment Documents

    Hello

    Page of support documents - in 6.0 date format for entry into force and date unavailability has a descriptive format (Monday, February 17, 2014), but in the point 6.1 resembles the date format of the field has been in number as format (17/02/2014).

    Is there a way we can customize / format description to a numeric date format.

    Kind regards

    Kumar

    6.1 has brought a new editing tool and improved for the dates so that you can type the dates directly in the field or use the calendar control.  With this control, we are unable to show the descriptive long format in edit mode.  In playback mode the descriptive date must always shown as "Monday, February 17, 2014" Unfortunately it seems that the behavior of the old system that you cannot open the popup details of attachment in read mode so that you will never see these inactive/effective dates in a full descriptive format.

    Good news if

    1. we now offer a review of supporting documents report.   This report will let you see all the supporting documents on a single specification or through a hierarchy of specification.   You should be able to set the date format to display in the long descriptive view.  In the BI publisher layout tool, click the column and change the formatting in the form under "Formatting data" in the toolbar.   Discover our pack of extensibility for more information on this report and others.

    2. We hope to offer in our next major release of universal date as February 14, 2014 formats and you will be able to see the document in support and the details of the attachment in read mode.

  • XLS2COLLECTION in the collection date format

    Recently, I noticed the Date format imported into the collection as part of the XLS2COLLECTION is to come across as DD/MM/YYYY even if the XLS format is DD/MM/YYYY.  I can't seem to find a setting anywhere where it would change someone knows all the parameters that affect this format?

    XLS2COLLECTION

    I actually reached out to my contact at Oracle to get some clarification on this and he was kind enough to return after scanning through the code that is actually a HARD-CODED in the earphone date format.  He recommended to post something in the forum of listener to try and address the potential for improvement, but for now it looks like it's like that and in my case, I need to code exception to reformat the date in my application.

    Thanks for your comments to Mike!

  • ORA-01821: date format not recognized in PL/SQL report - 4.0

    Hello

    I use Apex 4.0 and I have a classic report (return of function application) which allows you to select a date column.
    The query runs in the background and gives the result.

    But when I run the report on the page, I get the error
     report error:
    ORA-20001: Error fetching column value: ORA-01821: date format not recognized
    The values for the column are like this 14-MAR-13, 01-FEB-13, etc... Everything seems to be good.

    But I don't know why this error occurs.

    Thank you
    Adkins

    Divya says:

    Yes, this is a database column, and the data type is Date.

    The I used to convert the format is to_date(inv_date,'dd-mm-yy').

    My format of the Date of the application is "DD-MON-YYYY '.

    If the column type is date, then DO NOT use to_date. To format the date, either use the format column (which is strongly recommended) or to_char mask in the query:

    to_char(inv_date, 'dd-mm-yy')

    It is not recommended the use of the 2-digit year formats.

  • Set the default Date Format in 4.2 jQuery Mobile Smartphone

    Hi guys,.

    on 'normal' office interfaces, you can set a default date format in the globalization settings. Currently I am working on an application JQM and I noticed that the same settings I have to format date in other applications, take effect.

    I read today in the 4.2 notes version, that somehow this question was a bit buggy. If this problem is corrected? I would firstly like JJ German date format. "" MR. YYYY "; (such that it works in office applications). How can I do? This entry is saved in the global settings.

    But whenever I want to put a date-picker-merchandise in this format, it changes again in 'YYYY-MM-DD' after registration. And I don't really want to enter a dml processing conversion function writing now.

    Thanks for all tips, best looks,.
    Tobi

    Hey Tobi,

    the item type of ' date picker (HTML5) "corresponds to the type of input HTML5 = 'date', which requires that the internal format of the value date must always be YYYY-MM-DD, but he returned to the browser to display the date in the format of the local operating system parameter. The browser of the iOS for example displays the date in the format of my setting local language/country.
    See also http://stackoverflow.com/questions/7372038/is-there-any-way-to-change-input-type-date-format

    To make a long story short, it is not possible to specify the display format for dates selectors, because this is not supported by the HTML5 specification.

  • Build the query in PLSQL to return well formed XML with multiple records

    Hello

    It's very urgent. I am creating a PLSQL query who must retrieve all records in the table of "tbl_Emp" oracle database in a well-formed xml format. The format is given below

    * < employees xmlns = "http://App.Schemas.Employees" xmlns: xsi = "http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" > *.
    * < employee > *.
    * < name > < / name >. *
    * < Last_Name > < / Last_Name > *.
    * < / employee > *.
    * < employee > *.
    * < name > < / name >. *
    * < Last_Name > < / Last_Name > *.
    * < / employee > *.
    *...*
    * < / employees > *.

    To retrieve data in above format, I tried to create a query for a long time as below

    SELECT XMLElement ('employees',
    XMLAttributes ('http://App.Schemas.Employees' AS 'xmlns',
    (* "http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" AS "xmlns: xsi"), *.
    XMLElement ("employee", XMLForest (First_Name, Last_Name)))
    AS 'RESULT '.
    OF tbl_Emp;

    But it does not give me the desired output. It creates the < Employees > tag with each individual record which I didn't need. I need tag < Employees > the root tag and the tag < employee > repeat and wrap each individual record. Please help me in that it's very urgent. Thank you.

    Hello

    Remember that nothing is 'urgent' here, and repeating it will probably produce the opposite effect.

    If you need a quick answer, provide all necessary details, in the first place:
    -version of db
    -test with sample data and DDL cases

    That being said, it's easy, it takes group using XMLAgg:

    SELECT XMLElement("Employees"
           , XMLAttributes(
               'http://App.Schemas.Employees' AS "xmlns"
             , 'http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance' AS "xmlns:xsi"
             )
           , XMLAgg(
               XMLElement("Employee"
               , XMLForest(
                   e.first_name as "First_Name"
                 , e.last_name  as "Last_Name"
                 )
               )
             )
           ) AS "RESULT"
    FROM hr.employees e
    ;

  • problems by analyzing a date format string...

    Hi all, I'm having a hard time to convert a date into a string.

    I was using to_char but after much research, I thought that it would be better to use convert so I do:

    SELECT CONVERT (VARCHAR (8), 'November 19, 2012', 112) twice;

    Where the specifications for 112 is YYYYMMDD but I get the error "ORA-00936: lack of expression ', guess is cause Oracle do not know how to read the string to be converted.

    How can I convert a YYYYMMDD string format string of the form dd mmm yyy (as described above)?

    Thanks in advance,

    It seems that your search will lead you to a SQL Server thread. SQL Server uses arbitrary numbers to represent date formats. Oracle does not - the number 112 is irrelevant for Oracle.

    In Oracle, you convert a date to a string using the function TO_CHAR

    SELECT to_char( date '2012-11-19', 'YYYYMMDD' )
      FROM dual

    Of course, this assumes that you start with a date (like I do with my date literal). If you start with a string representing a date and you want to convert it to a string that represents the same date in a different format, you will need to use a TO_DATE and a TO_CHAR to convert the original string to a date and date on another string

    SELECT to_char( to_date( '19 Nov 2012', 'DD Mon YYYY' ), 'YYYYMMDD' )
      FROM dual
