  • Where can I retrieve my key Activation OEM for Windows 8 Pro?

    Hello

So I decided to solve the annoying problem of partition SSD in my Yoga Ideapad 13 by to pick up a Windows 8 ISO and install it via USB. Unfortunately, I can't find an activation code. Obviously, my computer came with a factory, but once I did a clean wipe of the drive, all of this has been lost. Lenovo has a way to retrieve an activation code to users?

    Thomas

You shouldn't have an activation code. If you install a simple Windows 8 OS (not Windows 8 Pro), then in the BIOS activation code should be adopted automatically during installation. The key isn't vald for Windows 8 Pro, so if you want to install, then just buy it at Microsoft. Note that it is technically unnecessary to buy a full Windows 8 Pro key, key to upgrade should work just as well if you're ready to do a simple search on Google for a workaround which takes a minute of your time plus a reboot your laptop to achieve more.

  • volume license 20-digit versus 25 characters product key activation

A week or two ago I was given an HP computer XP Professional sp3.

The operating system and the computer are older than 5 years

I want to restore the operating system to its "factory condition".

can I get the xp drive some how?

  • Random CTRL key activation

When I type in a document, without apparent reason, the computer responds as if I pressed the CTRL key. For example, if I type the letter "B" does not appear, but all the following letters are bold. I have a new HP Pavilion dv5 running Windows 7 Home Premium. Am I somehow dragging a finger on the touchpad without realizing it, or if my laptop is possessed? Help, please.

Yes, when I do a pinch to zoom, CTRL active.  I know this in two ways: one is that the touchpad settings you can check a box that says 'display the location of the cursor when you press CTRL' or something like that and when you hit CTRL a circle appears over your cursor.  If the circle appears whenever I have pinch zoom.  Every time.  I also know that it happens because if I pinch zoom and press a key it behaves like I hit him the CTRL key.  Then pinch zoom and 't' brings up a new tab for example.  There is no doubt that there is a flaw in the synaptics driver but I tried the HP cat and they want to do a full restore on my computer which is a waste of time and effort.  I reloaded the newest driver from the HP site and no help (I already had the latest driver anyway.)

So here's my solution: disable pinch zoom and use CTRL + 'touch' or CTRL + minus ' button' to zoom in or out.  It works fine and most unexpected things happening.

  • The key Activation of Microsoft verification

I have several copies of Microsoft Windows, I'm not sure whether or not they were never installed.  I have the box complete with genuine CD and manual as well as the registration keys, but I don't know how to check to see if they have already been registered.

They were purchased at a sale of liquidation of trade Dixons Group PLC with a lot important other software.

I know that I would like to know if I tried to install but we are looking to resell the software and do not want to do if it has already been used.

Does anyone know how I can check the registration keys?

    Thank you very much.

As far as I know, there is no way to determine if a product key is active, or that he acted except when trying to activate the product with it.  There is no data to check.

Here is the process for a manual activtion.  If anyone knows if this is possible, they no doubt.

To activate manually, go to start, search, and type in slui 4 enter.  Enter your country and press Next.  You will be on a screen with a phone number and a bunch of codes below.  Dial the number and browse automatic guests until you get to a human being.  Have your handy product code because it will be asked.  Explain the situation, but it's the same PC and only installed on this PC.  They should give you a code to enter on this screen to activate Vista.  Honestly, I don't think that even they can help you with this.

    I hope that this hellps.

    Good luck!

  • Purchased a product key for Windows 7 Professional, but you must enter a different product key activation

My laptop came with a Windows 7 Basic program trial and the trial ended so I bought a product key for Windows 7 Professional, because I got a discount on that student. When I try to activate it, it says I need to enter the product key for what I already use but I don't know the key to it. What am I doing here? Do I have to buy a product key for my Windows 7 original also?

Windows 7 Home Basic Edition is not a trial.

Is the Windows 7 Professional a full, level or Express upgrade?

Skip entering your product key Windows 7 and complete the installation.

When you reach the desktop, click Start, right-click on computer

    Click on properties

Scroll down to the Windows Activation

Click the link x days before activation.

Click on the link that says: "show me other ways to activate.

    Enter the product key

    Click next

Select the Activation of the phone

Click Next when you enter your key page

    Select your country

Click Next, call the number listed

Be sure to explain your situation to the Appeals Officer.

Provide the installation generated when ID requested by the call agent

They give a confirmation ID in return, enter it

Click next to complete the activation.

However, the requirements for the media upgrade is that you have an operating system already eligible such as Windows XP or Vista installed to use it. Since the Windows 7 end user license agreement.

15 UPDATES. To use upgrade software, you must first be licensed for the software that is eligible for the upgrade. After the upgrade, this agreement takes the place of the agreement for the software that you upgraded. After upgrade, you can no longer use the software that you upgraded.

So, if you are always denied, you will just have to reinstall Windows XP or Vista and let it do the verification of eligibility.

  • Update Windows 8 pro 8.1 pro - product key/activation required?

I have a dell latitude E5530 it came preinstalled and active with windows 8 pro. I get guests to update to 8.1 and indeed when I go to store the link is available. However, I want to know if I need the product key for this upgrade? Will I need to reactivate after upgrade? If so how can I get the current installation product key? The upgrade will also default 8.1pro?

Thanks for your help, I know that these issues are pretty basic but I can't seem to find the answers in the son and I saw the charges based on complaints from upgrade so I'm trying to be careful.

The product key for the 8.0, you already is built into the system (it was on stickers on the laptops, but now it is embedded in the BIOS of the motherboard).

The 8.1 update is a service pack, so it won't change your product key or activation, and no new key is required.  It's just a set of updates.

  • 32-bit Windows 8 Pro OEM activation using a 64-bit OEM key activation - is it possible?

I have one still to be put in service oem 64-bit of windows Pro 8 copy and I was eager to install the 32-bit version on an old pc running Windows XP and with only 4 GB of memory. The 64-bit activation key can be used for this installation of 32-bit version?

I downloaded an iso of the equivalent of 32 bits, it installed OK but when I tried to activate it using the 64-bit activation key I got the message "this product key does not work. Is it because the key provided with the 64-bit oem disk is usable only on a 64-bit install (unlike the commercial versions non - oem where the same key works for 64-bit and 32 - bit)- or is the invalid key for some other reason?

    64-bit disc is titled HRM_CCSA_X64FRE_EN-US_DV5 and the 32-bit version, I downloaded HRM_CCSA_X86FRE_EN-US_DV5

Product keys are not specific architecture (32-bit or 64-bit), the problem is, some keys do not work in some channels.

A touch of detail will not work with OEM media and vice versa OEM key will not work with the media to detail.

  • Windows 7 - > 8 Upgrade Key Activation

    Hi all

First time poster here, something has blocked me. So, I own a HP Pavilion DM4 3170se, originally shipped with Windows 7. When Windows 8 came out, I took advantage of the upgrade price bought Windows 8 and held above my Windows 7, upgrade. Fast forward to today:

My installation of Windows 8 had problems (the infamous question "disk is locked" as well as several things), and I had to reformat and reinstall the system. Due to complications with my hard drive, I had to do a 0-wipe and completely erase the disk. No problem, or so I thought, as I had a Windows 8 Installer on a USB key. Once I had erased the disc, the MBR problems disappeared, and Windows was able to install the disk normally.

Only one problem: technically, my key of Windows 8 is only a key to upgrade. I have no way to upgrade the facility, however. My original Windows 7 has been saved on a disk partition. I burned this recovery on a disk info, but it is not booting from a disk at all, so I have no way to install Windows 7 and then upgrade. Personally, I prefer to stay with a clean install of anyway to minimize problems.

I have a valid Windows 7 OEM license key. I have a valid Windows 8 upgrade of the key. I have even a key upgrade to media center. I bought and paid for all of these legally, but I have no way to turn on my computer. How can I solve this? Is there a way to present the keys I have and look a clean key? I recognize that my purchase was just for an upgrade and not a clean install, but a clean install was the only way to work around this problem.

    What should I do?

    Try the following solution:

    http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/13375-clean-install-Windows-8-upgrade.html

To install a Windows 8 upgrade version, you must already have Windows 7, Windows Vista, or Windows XP installed on your PC.

If you have formatted the drive until the upgrade of Windows 8 version has been installed, you will not be able to use your upgrade product key to activate Windows 8. To activate Windows 8, you will need to install your previous version of Windows, and then reinstall Windows 8. Help with the activation process, contact technical support.

Anyway can someone let me know how to activate function keys would be much appreciated.

    Hello

To be honest I do not understand why you want to disable FN keys. For me, it is quite handy and makes use of the laptop more comfortable. In all cases solution given by Akuma is good and easy for you.

BIOS has nothing to with it, but to enter the BIOS settings on this notebook Tecra press the ESC key at startup to the top.
