Rigging question

Hello!  First of all, the program is awesome and I can see tons of potential here!  I just started to play with her and watch the videos.  I apologize if this is covered everywhere and I'm still not there, but I can't find how to make layers of items that are not in the default templates.  For example, here's my character that I did and I try to configure for ch.

I glued the eyes and head back into the layers of the appropriate model.  I added the point of origin for the neck and so far, so good.  Students move with the head, according to the original pivot point and they don't deform or anything like that.  -A quick question here - how to define to what extent students can move in this investment?  Can I remember how they shift character as I move my eyes on the camera?  As a control of tolerance or the setting of the movement?  This is perhaps related to the size of the eyeball?  I left those.

Okay, back to the main question.  Then head and the eyes move based on the origin and don't deform when moving them.

Now I wanted to add a few layers of group head above the eyes and face saving.  I would like to add lines on eyes, the façade, the dome of glass, etc.  I create layers and dropped, as follows:

I guess since they are in the leading group that they would move related to other items, however, they shift and warp, strangely, as follows:

The lines remain with the façade, which is good, but the lines and front independent rotation of the eyes and face back and then start to deform from the point of origin and great stretch if I, the puppeteer, closer, or farther from the camera.  How to make them all move together and not string?  Also, I noticed that some photoshop layer effects didn't import, like having a layer set as 'Overlay' transparency.  Is it possible to define in Ch or not yet?  I wish that the lines to fix to overlay the eyes.  I also need the transparent glass dome.

Sorry for dropping a ton here!  If there is a tutorial or something that already explains this, I would be happy to follow the link!  Great program even once, I can't wait to understand better!

To get a bunch of things to move together, place them in the same group at PS. Make sure that the group is set to deform independently (i.e. ' + ' before the name of the PS Group, or check the Warp option independently in Ch when that group is selected) and make sure that the things inside the group are not be moved in directions different (or moved at all). For example if right eyebrow and left eyebrow were in this group, they would warp things in the group as you move your eyebrows. If only one thing is moved (as a handle from the head, for example), then the Group should move as one. But you can also have groups within your group and have their value chain regardless of having them akin to the group but does not deform it. This is a common way to have eyebrows - they move with the head, but also independently floating above it. Each group set to deform independently can also specify handle in its parent, it must join (popup under Warp regardless).

Ch does not yet support all PS layer options. Hearing from you which are the most important help us prioritize.

  • FCPX: Audio Units (NI Guitar Rig 5) hangs startup

    This isn't really a question, but after some problems start FCPX, some might find it useful.

    FCPX hung on starting. I tried reseting preferences (Command + Option), removed fcpbundles, etc. I kept getting the rotation beach ball at the start of the application. After digging in the Console, I recently installed Native Instruments Komplete Ultimate 10, and I was getting sound issues revolving around Guitar Rig 5.

    FCPX load these audio plugins at startup and when starting, because this plugin, it has been suspended. After his retirement (located in 5.component /Macintosh HD/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/components/Guitar Rig), FCPX started without problem.

    There was a problem with Audio Units involving awhile back non - Apple AUs. The Native Instruments AUs have been corrected. I have NO Guitar Rig 5 FX and MFX and the loading in FCPX. You should go to Applications/Native Instruments/Service Center / and start the application Service Center and update your Native Instruments software.  [Other software OR I can attest personally are: Absynth 5 MFX, FM8 MFX, Reaktor 6 MFX and Reaktor 5 FX (and chauffeur).]

    Another problem is: FCPX only valid once AUs by update. Any changes or updates, you bring to your AUs, FCPX will ignore it until this update then.

    To force FCPX to revalidate your AUs:

    Go to Macintosh HD > users > YourUserFolder > Library > Preferences

    Find the file "com.apple.audio.infoHelper.plist" and throw it in the trash

    Revive FCPX. FCPX will revalidate AUs and they all need to take now.

  • Need me another license for my rebuilt rig?

    I plan to upgrade my OS hosted WinXP 32 bit PT Win 7 Pro 64 bit. I need more RAM and although my mobo allows me up to 8 GB, my OS (Windows XP 32-bit) limit myself to 3 concerts. Upgrade to Win7 Pro 64 bit will allow me to use up to 8 GB of RAM. Later date however after that I have saved enough for a new rig, I plan on upgrading my hardware (motherboard, CPU, RAM, HD, etc.). My question is: can I use the same license for my PC refurbished? Or do I have to flat for a new license?

  • Questions and swap hard drive M18x R2

    First, let me describe the problem.  For the last couple months my Alienware M18x R2 acted weird.  It started with not to close or put on correctly, should be really really a lot of time to stop it.  I thought it might be memory related and replaced it with GSkill RAM with timings better and things seem to be improving a little bit.  Now lately it was stop in the middle of games.  Just black out and closing.  Recently there has been some problems with updates.

    I did a restore of the system when I know it was not working properly, run Eset, Malware bytes, disk cleanup, defragmentation, and he did not better.  So I ran support assist, and Alienware autopsy by the Bios and everything is OK.

    My rig has 2 gpu 675 m GeForce, 32 GB of RAM, 64 GB mSata cached, 2 x 512 GB 7200 RPM HDD RAID 0.  Out of warranty

    I thought that the hard drives are failing or corrupt. There is a very slight on slot higher RPM.  So I decided I want to replace the SSDS and possibly upgrade the 120 or 128 GB mSATA.

    This is so a few questions-

    1. What size SSD work? 7mm, 9.5 mm?  I plan to get at least 2 480 GB RAID 0

    2. it has SATA III for correct readers?

    3 is it worth it to upgrade my mSATA cached to disk or not?  Is this SATA II or III

    I'll do a clean install of windows 7 Professional on them.

    I was watching Mushkin reactor or chronos, San disk ultra.  Everyone runs it 730 s Intel in a M18x, I hear that they are running more hot.  I am looking for performance and reliability. I in playing time.

    Questions Severral to address here:

    • Fuse CC has a bug with the download bar that visually is stuck at 0%, but it is downloading in the background.  You can just let it run a while and it's finally finished on its own.  The bug has a fix in place who should come out with the next update to the CC Download Manager.
    • Fuse rigging 1.3 should continue to work, but there is a bug that we are exploring that blocks some.  Nothing of what you can really do for the moment that we just need time to focus on the issue.
    • Auto-greeur will not go far.
  • Is there a way to rig hands to "grab" an object

    Is it possible to rig hands to grab an object and move it?

    Can be a little more specific on what is your final goal?  There are several ways to do this, but depends on what you're trying to do.

    If you want to use the character in a Photoshop project, you can use the button 'save libraries to CC.  Which will be auto-rig the character (including full rings).  In Photoshop, you can use the Feature Animation 3D CC looking for an animation that matches what you want to do (swinging a sword, tennis games, etc.).  Most of the animations are already equipped with gripped hands for appropriate queries so that you can mostly done automatically.

    If you want to use the character in an external project or create your own custom 3D software poses you can use the button 'Save to Mixamo' fuse.  Who will be auto-rig the character and send it to Mixamo.com - an online coaching service that allows you to animate and rigging characters online.  Then, you can download it as a file .dae, .fbx or and consider in almost any 3D software to ask personalized.

    right, after days and days of research on all the excellent articles on ive here were to write a post! So apologies for going on the former area of

    Im going to build a new CS5.5 rig (having had a full Apple courage and their FCPX its back for pc fiasco!)

    so while I appreciate the 990 x o ' c is the best option of prob, bang for buck head down option sandybridge i7 2600 k o ' c p67 mobo with 16 GB of ram (option to take to 32 on the line when the chips came out)

    Anyway, im sorted on chip mobo (msi big bang marshal p67), nivida 570 etc, it is MI of readers who struggle on! IM edit avchd video and a few sequels, small amount of 3d and FCP i always transcoded to prores. On cs5.5, it now seems that the performance in real-time are possible with high range hardwear.

    Yes mobo, ram and chip side, my HDD config im uncertain, ive not really money to go crazy with raid controllors etc, but understand the need for separate units, etc., and tbh could even go downt route cineform he as an alternative prores (prob avoiding the hassle of the speed of the drive with avchd)

    IM thinking that the SSD is now declining in price and the ocz produce these discs of 120 GB sata 6 500 MB r/w speed for a reasonable price, 3 of these disks (one for the os, one for the media, a disc of scracth) would be a well put in place or is it a waste of money and should I raid 0 bios/mobo?

    I appreicate that GB 120 drives for media etc. are small, but I'd take a media of the many other big backup drive project and just use 3 x ssd set up as work for editing & os disks? Once the project is finished, erase the drives to larger back upward, and start the new project!

    Its either that or I go SSD as bootdrive, but a kind of raid at little cost, put in place for my scratch disk, media players? prob is if I do this, from what ive read (brain dead now) I'd be better off with raid 2 x 0 as the drive carrier and orginal scratch respectively when workign with avchd

    You have a limited budget, especially to the United Kingdom, but then we all?

    Goes for the 980 X will triple the cost of the CPU, but even when editing of AVCHD material gains are not IMO sufficiently important to justify this cost difference. Add to that you'll need 24 GB instead of 16 GB and bringing an additional price tag. These two factors will easily move out of reach of the budget if you want to have a certain number of disks and, possibly, a raid controller.

    With the media and the projects I would advise against a raid0, the lack of redundancy. For the pagefile, raid0 media cache and previews ("scratch disks") is quite OK. They will be recreated if necessary. The performance gain of a raid0 media and projects during a parity raid is easily offset by the time spent on backups. Parity of attacks do not use WD black Caviar, but look at the Hitachi 7 K 3000 line of discs.

    Sandy Bridge against the old X 58 force.com essentially "whose limits are acceptable for me.

    Sandy Bridge is an excellent processor and at least equal to the older kernels quad i7 - 9xx. However, the platform, the chipset, has its shortcomings in terms of PCIe lanes. Whether that concern you, only you can decide. But well, we would be in serious trouble if Intel have not reached some progress within two years of the i7-920 to i7 - 2600K. Then of course, i7 - 2600K shows much more potential than the almost retired 920, is the chipset for the Sandy Bridge that is "wrong" compared to the X 58, but which is not surprising, given that the Sandy Bridge is a 'moderate' platform and the X 58 is a platform of 'high performance '.

    RE-ENGINEERING-wise, I think that within your budget, you should look to the i7 - 2600 K, but with the best disk configuration you can afford.

  • Little help General and question about layout theory

    Hello... any help appreciated:

    I am a photographer who has always been a person DIY.  I built a Web site for my work on my own using Dreamweaver and some tutorials online.  He comes back, it works (although a little slow), but the code would, I imagine, most of you take your computers and whiten your knuckles.  In short: it works on the tape, Staples and ideas of jerry-rigged.

    I've watched more tutorials and am rebuiding the site, trying to clean up the code and the site.

    I have a number of questions and issues that I have not been able to solve on my own and so I turn to this site.  I'll post a few initial questions here and even more in the following days.

    I sincerely appreciate the time and help you would be willing to offer.

    1. when I try to preview in Firefox, my computer switches to Firefox, but the site is not displayed.  All that appears is what was the last page I looked at Firefox.  This does not happen for Safari, Opera, etc..

    2 I watched videos on the site, built the site largely with a layout of the Tables and then a page turns with the Table in a template for the pages that follow.  I guess it's a frequently asked question: most people set out sites this way to make... or with the ApDiv?  I feel I'm learning a foreign language by the book... now I wondering how people REALLY speak.  My site is www.tomgriggs.net (look at the code at your own risk).  I provided that in the hope that, if you take a look, you might see a way to layout would work for me better than the other.

    3. What is recommend for my table, wide... I'm focusing on the photogarphers and others who usually have large screens and I want to maximize the space I have for my pictures, but I also want to most people when they visit my site to get the site on their screen.  The solution would only be a percentage based tabular presentation?

    1. There is a known issue with Firefox 3.6.x and preview based on the browser.  It is noted in the Mozilla bug database and has been approved for publication in the next version.  I got the bug number in an old post, but I don't know off the top of my head.

    2 tables are a deprecated feature in Dreamweaver and have been removed from CS4.  So I recommend against learning in this way.  Œuvres of absolute positioning for some cases, but if you want a layout pass little matter that someone has the resolution you will end up with an elastic layout using percentages.  You can use div tags PA in it to achieve some effects.  But most of the time it should be used in some sort of container because otherwise your site will have different appearances according to the resolution.

    That your site is concerned, many will run your site through a validator: http://validator.w3.org/ - HTML, http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/ - CSS.  At the moment your site validates 100% with CSS and has only a single error in HTML format (other errors are related).  Your "and must end with a ' / > '."  Apart from that, everything is in order.  Personally, I like the simplicity of your Web site, although I think you could add a little more to the grey background by integrating one of your images in the background.

    3. return to the table.  Closer look at your code and I see that you have a table around your content with a width of 1134.  Personally I trash and follow these steps:

    If you get away from the table and move to div and layers, so you can make your more elastic page mentioned in the #2 response.  This code inside the body tag would give you a width of 90% of the visible area and auto margin: 0 would set the margin at the top and bottom of the page to 0 while the auto Center the page horizontally in the window of the browser.  As stated previously, layout tables are obsolete and will be not available in the latest versions of DW from CS4.  So I highly recommend moving ahead of them if you can.  The following resource is a good starting point for CSS ( http://www.w3schools.com/css/ ).  Think about the design of web sites in this way, just said HTML what should appear, CSS says what it should look like when it appears. Based on your current layout, it wouldn't be hard to reproduce this with fewer lines of code using basic CSS layout compared to the current table layout.  If you need an example, I could try to stick something together.  It may take a few days if.

    2. Type Show done face to emphasize his face in every photo.

  • Question of cloning for SSD upgrade on 12 Macbook Pro

    Previously, I did an upgrade to SSD on my Macbook Air to 2012 according to the instructions of JetDrive transcend. Basically connection via USB 3 and using Mac OS X to clear (and format) disc utilities new SSD, then restore again SSD and then remove the original 128 GB SSD and insert the new 480 GB SSD.  For about a month and so far without problem.

    Now I'm trying to 2012 Macbook upgrade my Pro partner (on 10.11.6).  I got a Crucial SSD MX300 to replace his HARD drive.  Crucial comes with (or recommend) Acronis software.  And a lot of the messages of the forum recommend Carbon Copy Clone.

    My question is if I can use the same method for the cloning of the HD as my Macbook Air (just restore disk of Mac OS X utilities)?  This time, I'm upgrading HARD drive and I don't know if something is different.  At the same time, if I got lucky the first time, I don't not ruin Macbook Pro my spouse this time.

    Yes, you can use disk utility to clone your MBP wives, but unlike CCC, it will not clone the recovery and Partition.

  • Question about resolution movie downloads

    If I buy a movie at a certain resolution (780p for example), but I want more later re - download at a higher or lower resolution (SD or 1080 p), can I do so and how?

    Same question perhaps for music. Some of my songs have been bought before the latest Apple codecs.

    Once you have made a purchase on the iTunes store, you will see your purchased items in the menu under accounts bar > bought. You can simply select the item purchased and re-upload.

    With regard to the resolution of the film for films that are offered, and you select the resolution, you can download it again and select a different resolution. For movies that are available as separate download to SD, 780, or 1080 points, you would be limited to the original resolution you selected.
