Right click on firefox taskbar is missing menu

Windows 7 - I uninstalled completely (all the preferences and settings) 21.0 reinstalled firefox and I get no menu with "Frequent, tasks,...» ». Instead, it's just two options, a shortcut to firefox and unpin icon. This is the icon that the installer of firefox added to the taskbar.

I also tried different settings ranging from about: config to UserChrome.css suggested by others that have had this problem in previous versions of firefox. None of these settings makes no difference.

There is a bug in Firefox 21 with the taskbar Windows 7 "Jump List" not updated. (Long thread here: why don't sites visited show in my list jump?) (Win 7 Ultimate).)

Judging by the bugs system, the fix will certainly appear in Firefox 24, and efforts to move up to 22 Firefox (beta) and Firefox (aurora) 23.

A new user profile will have no corruption of the system. You can create separate accounts for each person who will use the computer. This allows each user to have their own document folders and settings such as the wallpaper, Start menu, visual style, and so on. You can create and configure with the tool user accounts user accounts in Control Panel.

I always get requests to update on my office home page. After the most recent, most of my quick start icons are badges of adobe. Except a few functions are not open. When I right click on Firefox (for example) it says 'READ' rather than 'OPEN' and then displays the Adobe error box. The only other answer I received (from Ask.com) is that the update was a virus. I'm not computor savy and my pc is quite old. I just want to come an hour before this recent action, but I can't open Norton power eraser or even the ability of the computer to return to an earlier point in time to cancel the action. • How can I remove the links visited regularly, when I right click on Firefox in the taskbar?

After you have installed the version that Firefox, I noticed that there are several new features.
One of them opens up when you right click on a browser in the taskbar. You get a few options to open a new tab or new browsers. And a list of the regular pages.
I was wondering how I can delete these pages? And I do not understand this feature more!

You can turn off some browser.taskbar Pref. * enable on the subject: config page.

To open the topic: config page, type Subject: config in the address bar (address) and press the 'Enter' key, as you type the url of a Web site to open a Web site.

If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access this page.

    • Use the filter at the top bar of the on: page config to more easily spot a preference.
    • Preferences that have changed see the bold (user set).
    • Preferences you can restore the default value or change via the context menu.

  • In Windows 7, don't right click on programs in the Start Menu gives no option.

I just installed Windows 7 on my new PC.

I want to be able to right click on the programs located in the Start Menu and different options available.  Now, if I click on a program listed in the Start Menu I get nothing ~ no menu appears.

As a result, some of the things that I can't do are (1) pins a program in the Start Menu, pin (2) a program to the taskbar and (3) run a program as an administrator.

If I right click on the same program located in "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\StartMenu\Programs".

the right click menu is displayed and I can do all the functions that must be available by right clicking on the version of the program in the Start Menu.

How do the right click on the programs located in the Start Menu works correctly?

  • create a shortcut on the desktop link when right click in Firefox

When I use Internet Explorer and that I right click when I am on a Web site, there is an option to create a shortcut to this site on my desktop.

When I use Firefox and I click right when I'm on a Web site, there is no option.

I want to know how to insert this option in Firefox to do a right click for me.

Here is the Mozilla help page:

    http://support.Mozilla.com/en-us/KB/creating%20A%20desktop%20shortcut%20To%20A%20Web%20page

Drag the icon of the site (which is the symbol of address bar on the left) on desktop, and then rename the shortcut to your Web site.

DeskCut module works, BUT it needs to be changed in the Option section after installation:
    DeskCut options
    A. name tab of the
    1. name of the Options file: generating the file name of the page title
    B. Path tab
1 sets the path... Browse... Choose where to place the shortcut (usually on the desktop)
    [In Win7, it's C:\User\username\desktop ""]
    C. OK!

    Now, it should work!

What a pain that Mozilla should have added a right-click feature "Create a shortcut" in Firefox!

There is the possibility that there is a third-party shell extension that is the cause of the problem. You can analyze that yourself with a free utility called ShellExView. This may take some trial and error, deactivation and activation on your part.

Only disable a single extension, both for troubleshooting, then turn it back on. If too many extensions at the same time, more specifically shell extensions Microsoft is off, then you might get a operating system unbootable.

  • My downloads via Firefox did in fact download - "Open" and "Open containing folder" and grayed out when I right click on downloads in the downloads menu

I had this problem for quite a while. Downloads Download not really. Nothing comes in my download folder (and I checked where they are supposed to be stored, I'm checking the right place). In my downloads through the client Firefox popup if I click on any download, 'Open' and 'Open containing folder' is greyed out. I tried using 18 Firefox and the current client every night and reinstalled several times.

What security (firewall, antivirus) software do you have?

So "open" and "Open containing folder" in the menu contextual in the window Download Manager are grayed out then it means that the file is no longer in the original download location and they have been removed by anti-virus software or cleaning.

It is possible that anti-virus software is corrupt downloaded files or otherwise interferes with the download of files.

Try disabling analysis in real time (live) files in your software anti-virus temporarily to see if that makes working download.
