Thank you.

According to above results of datafile 28 was in fact a mouthful in the data file and there has been no backup taken after the Player operation.
PLUGIN_CHANGE # (568809) is higher than the "SNA cash" (563444) of the backup.
You must therefore plugin data file again from its source, commit to what you want.

  • RMAN-06023: no backup or copy of datafile 40 found to restore

    I'm using Oracle 10.2.0.3on Linux.

    I have a full backup taken a few months back.

    Database changes are quite small, so I was asked to do a recovery until the time.

    After the last database backup a few spaces have been created, and I do not have a backup of them.

    Now, when I tried to restore from old backup I hit this error

    Is it possible to ignore these storage spaces and to make a point in time recovery?

    Hi Ben!

    To exclude a tablespace in backup/restore do the following:

    Find the name of the repository where 40 datafile belongs to 1.).

    SELECT tablespace_name
    FROM dba_tablespaces t, dba_data_files d
    WHERE t.tablespace_name = d.tablespace_name
    AND d.file_id = 40;

    2.) configure an exclusion for this tablespace (allows to name TS1) in rman

    CONFIGURE EXCLUDE FOR TABLESPACE TS1;

    3.) Repeat steps 1 and 2 for datafiles 38 and 39.

    4.) Restore the database

    RESTORE DATABASE;

    5.) Actually you can't recovery your database because of the missing datafiles. Try to recreate them. This will only work, if you've all the archivelogs since your last backup. Do this within SQL*Plus

    startup mount

    ALTER DATABASE
    CREATE DATAFILE 40
    AS 'path/filename of file number 40';

    6.) repeat step 5 for 38 and 39 data files

    I don't exactly know if it works or not but I hope!

    Hi all

    Problem has been resolved.

    He had no problem with the command "duplicate target database to the backup location 'clonedb' ' / backup_database / '; '

    This command will also work.

    Resolution:-at first I was using backup for cloning. This time I used 'INCREMENTAL level 0' backup and it worked.

    Hello

    Now, only yesterday I took the full backup of the database (February 12, 2013). Now I want to restore back to 2 days (February 11, 2013---> my time target).

    Unfortunately, you cannot restore to February 11, 2013 by using the backup set February 12, 2013.
    CAMILLE, you must restore a previous backup before the time runs out.

  • backup RMAN with damaged block

    Hello

    First-, I have problem on non-production 11.2.0.1.0 database, so I'm not deeply concerned about data. But I need to understand what happened with database backups and how to prevent these things in the future.
    So - I have backup complete regular weekly EM and daily incremental backups. Later, he had problem with equipment and some blocks corrupted database found. The weekly backup ran without error and obsolete backups have been removed. Now, it is not possible to 'retrieve the list of corruption' because there is no backup without the corruption (RMAN-06023: no backup or copy of the data file 6 found to restore). I'm not worried about the loss of data, but I need to know how is the backup contains the corrupt blocks.

    I checked the data file using utility dbv
    DBVERIFY - Verification starting : FILE = /opt/oracle/oradata/orcl/users03.dbf

    DBV-00200: Block, DBA 27525766, already marked corrupt
    csc(0x0001.7b01729f) higher than block scn(0x0000.00000000)
    Page 2359942 failed with check code 6054

    DBVERIFY - Verification complete

    Total Pages Processed (Data) : 453896

    Total Pages Encrypted        : 0
    Highest block SCN            : 2156227446 (1.2156227446)
    As you can see the data file 6 - user03.dbf contains errors. Also the backups now contain errors.

    (1) so how is it possible that the scheduled backup EM took place without problems and now the backup contains corrupted blocks. How to avoid this in the future? I know there is MAXCORRUPT setting. How can I check its current value? How can I configure using backups EM on-demand?

    (2) Secondly, at the same time, I studied the RMAN commands. So I have suspended the work of backup EM and run follwing command. And backup represented without error. How is this possible, if the data in the file users06.dbf is corrupted block?

    Thank you!

    Hello

    You can take a look at http://taliphakanozturken.wordpress.com/2012/07/20/how-to-restore-10g-rman-backup-to-11g/

    You will need to change the name of db only after the database was opened after the upgrade and other steps.

    DB_FILE_NAME_CONVERT is used RMAN DUPLICATE and pending database.

    You must use the VALUE of NEWNAME if you do a RESTORE RMAN.

  • RMAN RESTORE A NEW SERVER

    I have a full backup of the source server and I would like to restore it to the target server.
    Problem is that on my source server, I have full backup to disk 'E '.
    I'm just on my C and D drives target server.

    When I try to run the restore database command I get

    RMAN-06023: no backup or copy of datafile 1 found to restore

    for all data files as is the search for my backups on 'E' drive that does not exist on the server target.
    Is there a way I can guide RMAN to watch on the D: drive, during the restoration?

    Thank you

    Hello
    Sorry, forget my first answer, you now have the problem with the oracle data file, you must use the option "set newname"!
    an example of this is:

    RUN
    {
    The VALUE of NEWNAME for DATAFILE 1 to 'D:\oracle\datafile1.dbf '; # Rename 1
    The VALUE of NEWNAME for DATAFILE 2 to D:\oracle\datafile1.dbf'; # Rename 2
    Restore the database;
    }

    You can find the number of name and the data file in your production system with:

    set linesize 130
    Col name format a50
    Select file #, name from v$ datafile by 1
    ;

    hope this helps
