RN 516 as FTPS Server

Hello

I want to back up the directory of the user of a computer remote mac OS x my 515, using total rn.

I activated total in the framework, the installation program only access a share with ftp and user ftpuser, this user has read/write access to this share.

I have tried two apps of mac osx, goodsync and transmit, the two apps to tell me they do not have access to this share.

Where can I look for to solve the problem?

Andreas

This is very common. Do not use file access permissions unless specifically required. Use network permissions. It is sure that the users are already filtered by network permissions then.
You may need to perform a reset of the access permissions of the file with the corresponding button in the GUI

  • FTP problems with the linux ftp server

    Hello

I have a problem when trying to get a file via FTP. The FTP server is an embedded linux system, get the file manually via FTP is no problem, but to TestStand, I get the following error:

    Cannot download the file ' / opt/log/sislog.log'.
Check if the local and remote path exists and is read and write respectively.

The system does not have the specified path.

error. I know that the file is there, the permissions are given. So I tried the other way around and tried to download a file called "mysislog.log" in that directory and download it again. I get the same error, but when I telnet to the LUX machine, I see that there is a file in this directory, but the file is called "\mysislog.log" - so I think backslash TestStand put the last bar in the name of the file and therefore impossible to load the file.

Here is the list of the repertoire of the LUX machine:

    root@FCM2001-A2-03-37-4A: / mnt/exponent0/opt/log > he's
    -rw - r - 1 root root 0 16 Apr 08:51 \mysislog.log
    -rw - r - r - 1 root root 111219 16 Apr 08:41 syslog_0.log
    -rw - r - r - 1 root root 262096 Apr 13 11:52 syslog_1.log
    -rw - r - r - 1 root root 35503 Apr 13 11:53 syslog_error_0.log

    Any ideas?

    Hello

Unfortunately, this is a known issue that will be fixed in a future version of TestStand (although I don't know what future version). The FTP step was designed for LabVIEW RT.

The workaround is to call a code module that runs this ftp upload, possibly using a ftp software.

    See you soon,.

  • EA6300 - FTP server - share folders are not available

I am trying to create a new user to access my Linksys EA6300 using the option "authorized users."

    It was my steps:

    http://linksyssmartwifi.com

    USB storage device

    Access to records

    Users allowed: new user

    Select share

But there are no options to choose.

I am able to connect using the new user by using internal or external network. But, I see any files or folders, and I'm not able to download any file.

The admin user has also no record within the stock option. But if I connect using admin, I am able to see the contents of the FTP server and work without problems.

I use the version of the firmware 1.1.40. (build 153731).

I would like to test the old 1.1.39 version (Build 149770), but I'm afraid to download it from a website that is not Linksys.

    Thanks in advance.

    Kind regards.

    I found the reason.

First I have to click on the link "Show all actions" just above the button "Add a user" to prepare "further action".

Then the shares will be available to create new users.

Thank you all for the responses.

I enabled the FTP server and Internet access.

Why you changed the ip address of the router to 192.168.1.2. ?

Try to update firmware of the router. After upgrading the firmware, reset the router and re - configure from scratch. Now, simply activate the FTP server on the router and check.

  • EA4500 FTP server remote access fails with active firewall

I tried to access my drive connected to the USB port of the EA4500 remotely and it didn't until I disabled the firewall SPI IPv4/IPv6 options. If anyone else noticed that? Surely, the firewall must not block the own FTP server on the router!

P.S. A friend with an EA3500 had the same problem.

After the reset, all you need to do is to activate the FTP and uncheck the "block Internet applications anonymous" and it will work.

Speaking from my own experience, it you start to turn things market... and offshore and on... something is finally going to get messed up in the router and ask you to do a hard reset.

  • WRT160NL ftp server set up

Hello! I m relatively new in the arena of router´s and the I m of learning (sorry if I make stupid questions), in this case I m trying to access the usb connection of the internet storage (Yes, I ve set up DDNS and also I ve the WRT160NL in DMZ mode) and I ve had some problems "cascading" correctly the Linksys router and the the my ISP's who is a modem/router.

While I was reading the discussions related to the storage of that link it am fell on this screenshot a WRT600N where FTP set up is fairly simple. My question is: how will I achieve the same for the WRT160NL? Although it would be great, I m does not have the same user interface, but perhaps a set of instructions... is this possible?

    Thank you!

Unfortunately WRT160NL doesn't have the function "FTP server". Routers like WRT350N, WRT600N, WRT610N, E3000 has this function.

  • E4200 V2 - cannot access the FTP server build - in Internet

    Hello.

    I just bought a new E4200V2.

I have a static IP and I would like to make the built-in FTP server accessible from the Internet.

The server is accessible behind the router, but not from outside. I guess it's the firewall blocks the traffic, but I have not found any detailed firewall configurations.

    Thank you.

Solved! It wasn't a real problem. The FTP server is accessible by its static IP, but only from the outside of the network. It could be consulted on the inside by its local IP address. Quite strange...
