Roll back the action errors

I have had problems recently install a new software. I'd say about 60-75% of the programs I try to install to do the last step, usually save, then falls down, poster sometimes "roll back the action" and then erases everything what he changed and closes. Happens for different programs and I read it might be an older version or problems left by a previous installation failed, but it is none of these. Some are (more) new programs. I also read it could be a file of the registry that was somehow marked as 'read only' but I'm not sure that one or it's location. If anyone knows what's going on, please let me know.

Thank you.

Hi bevisjl,

I you recommend to place the computer in a clean boot state and then try to install programs and check will they install, please provide us with error messages that you get when you install the programs with the specific name of the program you want to install:

To put the computer in a clean boot state, follow these steps:

Perform a clean boot

Note If the computer is connected to a network, network policy settings may prevent you from following these steps. We recommend strongly that you do not use System Configuration utility to change startup options on the computer, unless a support engineer Microsoft directs you to do so. This can make the computer unusable.

a. log in the computer using an account with administrator rights.

b. Click Start, type msconfig.exe in the start search box and press ENTER to start the System Configuration utility.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.

c. under the general tab, click Selective startup, and then clear the check box load startup items.
(The check box use the file Boot is not available.)

d. on the Services tab, click to select the skin all the Microsoft services check box, and then click Disable all.

Note following this step lets Microsoft services continue to operate. These services include networking, Plug-and-Play, record of events, error reporting, and other services. If you disable these services, you can permanently delete all restore points. Do not do this if you want to use to restore the system with the existing restore points.

e. click OK and then click on restart.

Once the computer restarts, verify if you are able to install programs.

Reset the computer to start as usual

When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

Click Start, type msconfig.exe in the start search box and press ENTER.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.
On the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.
When you are prompted to restart the computer, click on restart.

If you are able to install programs after placing the computer in a clean boot state, follow the steps below in the link to diagnose the program or service that is causing the problem:

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista

I hope this information is useful.

  • Roll back the firmware update

    Hello

    Is it possible to roll back the update of the firmware? I put on the Hebrew firmware 01.01.15 - I was wondering if I can take that off and put that ordinary English? Is it possible or do I just wait for the next firmware update and use English? I was told to look at the other posts here so that he can recognize the Hebrew he needs to UTF-16 encoding - but my s/w EasyTag for Linux can only do utf16 for id3v2 and the "rocket" uses only id3v1 correct?

    I am so frustrated with this.

    For a manual installation of firmware, simply unzip the compressed firmware file and place it in the root directory of the "rocket".

    When the rocket starts, it performs a check for a new firmware file in the root directory.  If you have placed the file in the root, it will automatically replace its current firmware with the one you have placed there.

    This can be done in MSC or MTP mode.  The only difference with MTP mode is that you first need to double-click on "Internal memory" to access the root durectory.

  • Transaction is written to the log file and it is not written to undo tablespace. During a failure of the system how oracle rolls back the transaction.

    Hi all

    My question is:

    Transaction is written to the log file and it is not written to undo tablespace.

    During a failure of the system how oracle rolls back the transaction.

    I have already provided the answer, you ignored if well (you seem to only read the responses by people of your country).

    Redo log is always written * first * before * writing to the data block (redo log writing is much more aggressive). So it DOESN 'T MATTER if you lose these scriptures of rollback segment.

    Valuation: rear roller followed by roll forward, using redo log files and/or archive redo log files.

  • Back the action descriptor has no keys

    Hi everyone and thanks for your support,

    I did an action descriptor for a tool of perspective (using CS6) truncation. He received corner points and the midpoint. When the action is executed, the user can change the corner points and selection of crops. The value returned by executeAction is stored under a new action descriptor. Despite, this action descriptor is empty and no key. I was expecting to hold the keys with the new corner point values.

    Code is below.

    app.preferences.rulerUnits = Units.PIXELS
    var srcDoc = app.activeDocument;
    var width = srcDoc.width;
    var height = srcDoc.height;
    var m1, m2, x1, x2, x3, x4, y1, y2, y3, y4;
    var settings_dflt=[m1, m2, x1, y1, x2, y2, x3, y3, x4, y4];
    settings_dflt = [width/2,height/2,0,0,width,0,width,height,0,height];
    var actionDescriptor=new ActionDescriptor();
    cTID = function(s) { return app.charIDToTypeID(s); };
    sTID = function(s) { return app.stringIDToTypeID(s); };

     function defaultActionDesciptor(Fa){
    var Ga=new ActionDescriptor();
    var Ha=new ActionDescriptor();
    var Ia=new ActionDescriptor();
    Ia.putUnitDouble(cTID('Hrzn'),cTID('#Pxl'),Fa[0]);
    Ia.putUnitDouble(cTID('Vrtc'),cTID('#Pxl'),Fa[1]);
    Ha.putObject(cTID('Cntr'),cTID('Pnt '),Ia);
    var Ja=new ActionDescriptor();
    Ja.putUnitDouble(cTID('Hrzn'),cTID('#Pxl'),Fa[2]);
    Ja.putUnitDouble(cTID('Vrtc'),cTID('#Pxl'),Fa[3]);
    Ha.putObject(sTID('quadCorner0'),cTID('Ofst'),Ja);
    var Ka=new ActionDescriptor();

    var Ma=new ActionDescriptor();

    Ga.putUnitDouble(cTID('Wdth'),cTID('#Pxl'),0.000000);
    Ga.putUnitDouble(cTID('Hght'),cTID('#Pxl'),0.000000);
    Ga.putUnitDouble(cTID('Rslt'),cTID('#Rsl'),0.000000);
    return Ga;
        }
    //
    function CallAppropriateAction() {
      var fb = new ActionDescriptor();
      try{
         fb = executeAction(cTID('Crop'),actionDescriptor,DialogModes.ALL);
                  }

             catch(e){
                 alert("User cancelled operation");
                 }

                if(fb!=null){

                   srcDoc.selection.selectAll();
                   alert(fb.count + " = number of keys in fb\n" + fb.typename + " = type of fb")
                   }
    }
    //
    function main()
    {

        srcDoc.selection.selectAll();
        actionDescriptor=defaultActionDesciptor(settings_dflt);
        CallAppropriateAction();

    }
    //
    app.activeDocument.suspendHistory("CropTool", "main()")

    </code>

    OK, never mind, I found the embarrassing error.

    The problem was this:

    var settings_dflt = [m1, m2, x 1, y1, x 2, y2, x 3, y3, x 4, y4];

    settings_dflt = [width/2, height/2,0,0, width, 0, width, height, 0],

    I thought a little that the variables in the table would be initialized with the values given in the table. However when I remove the second line and initialize variables with starting values before assigning to the table, everything works fine.

    var m1, m2, x 1, x 2, x 3, x 4, y1, y2, y3, y4;

    M1 = width/2;

    M2 = height/2;

    x 1 = 0;

    Y1 = 0;

    x 2 = width;

    Y2 = 0;

    x 3 = width;

    Y3 = height;

    X 4 = 0;

    Y4 = height;

    var settings_dflt = [m1, m2, x 1, y1, x 2, y2, x 3, y3, x 4, y4];

  • How to roll back the update of Firefox 29? I hate it.

    I got the update of Firefox 29. I don't like it and removed features (for example, the bar add-on). How to restore? I have to completely uninstall Firefox?

    Hi netscaper, several years of research with users went into this redesign, but of course you may not all agree on the same thing.

    As a small non-profit organization, Mozilla doesn't have the means to do everything herself. Firefox has since always the philosophy of trying to keep the lean browser and allowing for customization through modules. Sometimes the ride is bumpy, but generally you have several ways to do the job.

    If there are special features that are essential to bring back into the product itself, please give your comments here:

  • How do I roll back the 8.1 update back to PP 2014 8.0?

    Hello

    I've updated to the new first Pro 2014 8.1 this morning and it's next to useless. I wonder how I can go back to the previous version 8.0?

    Go to your creative cloud applet, down below the currently intalled apps, there is a line "Filters & Versions"... Click here, then scroll down until you find the program that you want to restore, click... to appear an Adobe web page with download top-right, but... in the left center of the page is a small drop-down list which will typically list the newest one... click on the arrow to the right , and previous versions will be available, in general the CS6. You will not have the download button changes... and go ahead and 'download' the version you selected... hope that helps.

  • How to roll back the last update which caused cursor problems since I installed today?

    The slider "disappears" until I click on the space, I was typing in SEVERAL TIMES. Then, it is still impossible to type. This began to happen for the first time today, after I installed the "update." Finally I had to close the browser, lose everything I had typed. If it has been tested?

    And where FF down install some nonsense Cisco webcam without my permission?

    I won't "automatically add" anything in it because there is no way I'm letting Firefox 'install' thing any other on my machine.

    Ah, a system restore! That should do the trick! Thank you very much. IDK why I always forget this option.

    And I'm done with FF "updates".

    On 29 September, Microsoft Update has eliminated an update of Silverlight. I suspect that it was the cause of the changes in functionality in a program that I use, so I want to uninstall this update to conduct tests. How can I do this? It doesn't seem to be installable via Win7 Pro 64-bit programs and features.

    Scroll down and tap the Modem software, select it and click on uninstall

    USB modems usually have the software to be installed on the Flash DRIVE itself, otherwise, go to the website of manufacturer and download the software.

    Point to the driver files.

    Right-click on the configuration file, and then click "troubleshoot compatibility".

    Wait, it detects the problem.

    Select Windows 7 RTM or better Windows Vista SP2

    Click next

    Click Start the program, wait, it installs

    When the installation is complete, click Finish and save the settings.
