Rolling constant beachball more

For awhile there, it has become impossible for people who are using earlier versions of the Mac operating system to use Skype, so a person in a community came with a fancy workaround that involves changing something in the Terminal. While Skype came with means for people with OS 5 (which I was using at the time) to connect with Skype. I thought I had cancelled the "fix" and everything should be fine, but there has always been a problem with the "beachball" wheelchair and slow. And it happens when there is only a single app - or at the most two - open.

Subsequently, I got Snow Leopard (now at the 10.6.8) and hope that things would improve. (Snow Leopard is supposed to be more efficient that Leopard was.) I also have day Firefox in several points. All that was supposed to make things more efficient and better. Now, however, the beachball problem, as well as the buffering on even the simplest videos and slow, there is growing worse. (Just open files not online seems not to be a particular problem.) I don't really know if what I did made this happens, but I wonder why he would and if yes, what "improvement" was to blame. Any ideas? He drives me crazy. Thank you very much.

Please after the release of EtreCheck and someone will try to analyze the configuration of your system and that you have added to your system over the years that may contribute to your performance problems.

    Aug 22, 2016, 21:24:16 self-test - spent

Then. about a year and a half, I had a Samsung Evo 840 500 GB SSD because the original hard drive in my Macbook Pro early 2011 need to relax a bit. Immediately, I saw incredible results. I simply restored a time machine backup and everything worked beautifully and kept making only a few months before.

One morning I wake up and all of a sudden, everything is extremely slow. Clicking on anything, to open anything and start my mac takes forever. Even simple typing was extremely laggy. Constant beach ball was my new reality.

After the restoration, wiping, do an install own a couple of times, I thought that the data on the computer was not the problem.

I thought it might be my RAM and fortunately I had upgraded my RAM earlier, so I could easily pop in my old and see if it solves the problem. There can be no.

I have a Macbook Pro, which was 4.5 years... probably my SSD of 1.5 years could not be the problem. I didn't have my old hard drive, but was able to get my hands on one to test. Not that's the lag (I mean, since it's an old hdd, it wasn't in blistering) compared to SSDS.

I read quite a few places that the Samsung Evo 840 has serious problems. But... I put my SSD in a Windows computer, ran the thing about test Smart Magic and it says that the disc was in good health. Update the firmware anyway. Couldn't really see no improvement in speed of read/write anyway. Put it back into my mac and now it does not lag as long and as often, but it is still quite unbearable. Using the black magic speed test (disk speed test) I always get what I'm supposed to ~ 500 read/write.

I tried to repair my disk and partitions in the recovery mode disk utility, but it does not find defects.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me!

Hi, Corneille, I read your report of EtreCheck and I see several places where the problem could come from.

First, you must enable TRIM on your SSD.

Uninstall bittorrent. Torrents are great places to pick up malware. They to hitchhike on downloads and even you would not be aware.

Uninstall Google Drive, it is a known culprit.

Then run another report of the CE.

  • Why the constant beachball in safari

More often than otherwise, Safari meets the beachball before being able to sort through the selection and loading of a page.

I go to FIREFOX or Google Chrome and it does not.

    Any ideas?

Go step by step and test.

    1 empty Caches

    Safari > Preferences > advanced

Tick the box "Show develop menu in menu bar."

Develop menu will appear in the Safari menu bar.

Click on develop and select 'Empty cache' in the menu dropdown.

    2 Delete Cookies

Safari > Preferences > privacy > Cookies and other data from the website:

    Click on the button "Details".

Delete all cookies except those from Apple, your internet service provider and the banks.

3 Disable Extensions and test them.

    Safari > Preferences > Extensions

Uncheck 'Enable the Extension' and test.

Enable the Extensions one by one and test.

To uninstall any extension, select it and click the "Uninstall" button

  • rolling text «see more in facebook»

How could add a rolling text by clicking a button (ex: 'see more' in facebook?)

You can use a "Muse themes" widget called 'collapsible text box' that's exactly what you want,

It is available with the other widgets with low annual price

  • Constant beachball

I have a recurring problem: The SBBOD happens all the time-opening an app, quit an application, using a hotkey, editing pages in Safari, etc.. Basically to do anything.

    FIRST OF ALL:

I've run AHT (no problem), TechTool 8 (no problem), Etrecheck (no problem), Atomic (auditor of RAM of TT) (no problem), cleaned the permissions, emptied the caches and checked for malware (none). I have 8 GB of RAM, more than enough, I use 329,31 GB of my drive of 500 GB and unchecked "drives to sleep when possible put" in the Energy Saver tab.

I took my laptop in my local authorized repair Apple store, and they were not able to find a problem.

Everything is 'normal', but I still get the SBBOD.

    Help!

Etrecheck no reports of 'issues '. It is a snapshot of the current state of your Mac. Given that there doesn't seem to be a hardware problem, it could very well be you have installed software that is not compatible with El Capitan. Etrecheck will show you what you have installed, but do not directly indicate a software that causes problems.

At the end of the report, if you see that some process crashes a lot, which can be indicative of the problem.

The other place to look is in the Console App. Look for repeat messages to quit a program and who need "respawn".

  • untimely delay in rolling of credits

    Hello users,.

I have the list of the credits that I create in the title editor. They begin to appear after too long.

That has been the case since I can remember bud I had workaround: put the credits on a track above and drag to the left until the point where the credit roll starts to appear. I can't do it this time.

I do not specify "start offscreen, preroll, etc.» Just 'roll '.

How does begin to roll the credits more quickly.

    Thank you!

  • Mac Pro 08 SUPER slow! 32 GB of RAM, Quad Core! EtreCheck inside. Help me!

I bought this computer on ebay in December because I heard it was quiet and the specifications were great compared to my old PC (8 cores, 32 GB of ram, 2 TB). In recent months its been getting slower and slower. I continued to get the beachball for long periods of time and in the last month often have to stop the Tower computer often. 2 weeks ago, that I turned it off because he was stuck and would not come back. It was just a white screen. I paid a guy and he did something and it works again but it of still slow and stop often. Also my Final Cut Pro is having a lot of problems. I got the computer specifically because he had this because I am a creator of video content.

Today, the computer stopped FCP 3 times and will not allow me to make changes or stops. I restarted the computer and am only using the internet and I always get the constant beachball. It takes forever to even google anything. I'm afraid that it will close again I made an EtreCheck. Based on another THIS I guess I need a new hard drive. I wonder if there is anything else wrong with her. I tried a new hard drive but my current is 2 hard drives, I think, but I just want to buy 1 large and install it myself. If please look over my characteristics EtreCheck and let me know what happens. I'm new to Mac.

Don't know what's happening, you do not give a lot of information, but if you have the constant beachballing (spinning wait cursor), which could mean that the hard drive is dying.

Open Console.app in Applications > utilities. Filter, called "String Matching," right, high enter "I/o" without the quotes. What happens when you do this?

  • HP G72 laptop - Notebook just turn off

My laptop is just shut down on a constant and more frequent basis.

But I bought this laptop used, I only got it for about 3 weeks, but I prayed the previous owner/user was something wrong with her, he says no, days later the laptop off, but the battery was low, probably around 20%, I don't take much thoughtful and ignored.

Second week, same thing not much thought! From now on more frequent, back to back while I am participating to meetings in line and work! This can happen because my work is a must.

Someone help me please. I tried diagnostic and it says battery test failed. I also tried Hp Support Assistant, and it is said that the battery test the work stoppage.

What is it? Also the battery isn't down, at some point, it's 50%, 60? or 70% and stops just to the wide/power off!

Now, I've been on the laptop for 9 hours a day non-stop (required job) Please however note that can be my problem, read above, I only got 3 weeks before having to use it for 9 hours in a row this week, it stops.

    How to identify this problem?

Also, not sure how long the previous owner had it in front of me. Contacted on tomorrow, see if it's my battery or if I need to get my money back and just go back and get the new laptop I had which was windows 8 from Walmart.

    Hello newtohpusetodel,

I understand that your notebook is being.

If you get a battery of test which is a not you may need to replace the battery.

    Do a hard reset.
    Turn off the computer.
Remove the power cable and battery.
Hold down the power button for 15 sec while booth energy sources are deleted.

This should reset the hardware in the computer.

That you put it on press the F10 key. This will load the BIOS setup utility.
Press F9 to load the default values.
Press F10 to save and exit.

When the computer starts up, check if everything is working.

Here is a link that will show you how to test and calibrate the battery.

Also, if the laptop is still under warranty HP can replace the battery.

Here is a link to a number to call HP.

I would like to know how everything goes.

  • Missing WININET.dll

I have a HP Mini 1000 (flash drive, no hard drive). I rolled back the more early to get rid of the files is no longer needed on the computer. When I reboot, I get a message saying that wininet.dll was not found. I tried rebooting in safe mode and got the same message. When the screen appears, it is empty and useless. I have to open the Task Manager to close the session in order to restart. I tried to download a file WININET.dll from a site (I know, scary) to a flash drive. There is no way to open it on the machine damaged. Any suggestions on how to fix this? I guess the first thing will be to get an external entry system works, but I'm stuck.

Safe Mode boot and run sfc/scannow will not help you for two reasons:

sfc/scannow will not work in Mode without failure.

Running sfc/scannow will not replace the missing file even if it worked.

Of course you should be suspicious files that you download are unknowns, b sources
UT there are copies of the file wininet.dll on your system in other places.

You can also use the Task Manager to copy from the flash drive on your hard disk if you want to, but I would keep the last option and get a copy of the file from a trusted source.

If the c:\windows\system32\wininet.dll file is missing, you will see a message like this:

Explorer.EXE - unable to locate component
This application has failed to start because WININET.dll not found.  Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.

By clicking OK, you will then see a message like this:

dwwin.exe - Unable to locate component
This application has failed to start because WININET. DLL.dll was not found.
Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.

Depending on your configuration, you may see other messages complaining, so just keep clicking on the OK button as they come.

By clicking OK, you will eventually have to an empty office with just the presentation of wallpaper background.

Since the Explorer.exe does not start without the file, and so is not running, there will be no icons on the desktop or the taskbar, but you can always
navigate and do other things using the Task Manager.

Depending on your configuration, other applications may complain in various ways, so just click on the button OK under each message arrives.
You may not be able to replace the missing file until all the pop-up error messages are recognized (work quickly).

The screen background image. Press Ctrl-Alt-Delete to start the Task Manager and from there, you can replace the missing wininet.dll file
(you can replace any missing file from the Task Manager).

We know that XP keeps copies of critical system files in the following folder:

    c:\Windows\System32\dllcache

You must copy the backup copy of the file in the dllcache folder in the system32 folder where it belongs.

In Task Manager, click file, new task (run...), browse and navigate to the following folder:

    c:\Windows\System32\dllcache

In the navigation window, do not forget the "files of type" drop-down is set to "All files" or you will not be able to 'see' the file you need when you browse folders.

    Navigate to the following folder:

    c:\Windows\System32\dllcache

If you don't see the file, do not forget the "Files of type" drop-down list is set to "All files" or you won't see all of the files.

If the file is also missing from the dllcahce folder, look for a copy in this folder:

    c:\windows\ServicePackFiles\i386

Locate the file wininet.dll, right-click and choose copy (it copies the file to the Windows Clipboard).

Browsing from a level in the following folder:

    c:\Windows\System32

Right-click on an empty area in the window of c:\windows\system32 and choose Paste to paste in the missing file where it belongs.

If no popup messages launched from other applications to complain about the missing file, just click OK so you can complete the
file copy process.  If there is a message to complain about, you must click OK to get rid of the message to complete the file copy.

After the file has been copied, the Task Manager, click on stop, "Restart" to reboot the system (always try to avoid using the power
    button to restart the system).

It is possible that the file is also missing in the dllcache folder, but it is in other places on your system.

If the c:\windows\system32\wininet.dll file is missing, you can also replace it with boot the system using the safe mode with command prompt
and copy the backup copy of the file.

After the boot safe mode with command prompt in the command prompt window, replace the lack of files with the backup copy enter the following command (the command prompt window):

    Copy c:\windows\system32\dllcache\wininet.dll c:\windows\system32

If the file is also missing from the dllcahce folder, look for a copy in this folder:

    c:\windows\ServicePackFiles\i386

Answered in the affirmative if invited to replace the existing file and then you should see a message that 1 file (s) has been copied.

Enter "exit" to close the command prompt window, and then press Ctrl-Alt-Delete to launch the Manager of tasks and Task Manager, turn off
menu choose "Restart" to reboot your system (always try to avoid using the power button to restart the system).

If the file is also missing from the dllcahce folder, look for a copy in this folder:

    c:\windows\ServicePackFiles\i386

Once your system is running, you can determine how it is broken in the first place and fix this problem.

  • My goal is to be able to handle individual windows 'History' folder addresses as if each was a single data file.

I use Windows XP (with Service Pack 3) and IE8. My goal is to be able to handle individual windows 'History' folder addresses as if each were a data file.

Windows effectively extract individual addresses of the 'Historical' invisible system folder and place them in files 'short cut', an address by file.

I need to be able to reinstall these addresses in the 'History' folder (C:\Documents and Settings\ "profile name" \Local Settings\History) batch. I want to be able to specify what subfolder 'date' in 'Historic' must be installed for, but I want the "Web site" subfolder in the subfolder 'date' to be determined by the software. Batch processing is crucial; the process must be able to extract the Web addresses of thousands of "short cuts" and install these addresses to 'History', effectively, preferably in a single operation.

This would "roll" addresses to more recent dates in "history before they"expire"by management of the history of IE settings (Tools > Internet Options > Browsing History settings specifying 'Days for which these Pages are kept') or even between different facilities to explore."

Proper maintenance by the user could allow for recognige to explore a page that has been visited as long as a given computer was in use (e.g., after five years, 1825 days, rather than maxing out to 999 days). Or, as in my case, if we personalise a user profile for a particular task, we spend a lot of time with and Explorer history is an important part of this customization, one could also move the story of a machine one is being scrapped at the profile on the replacement machine. We could keep history for the life of the profile regardless of how many machines it was used on sequentially. We could even keep the profile on several machines at the same time (cabin office, Headquarters Office, laptop,...) and the history of synchronize between iterations of the profile.

Knowing that a Web page has been previously seen by only a quick look on the link to access the page can be a huge time saver!

Any suggestion that would allow to extract addresses from Windows 'short cuts' Web pages and reinstall these addresses in the 'History' folder, on a batch basis, would be highly appreciated.

    Hi Sije1,

As you advised in your previous post, your question of Windows 7 is more complex than what is generally answered in the Microsoft Answers forums. It is better suited for the IT Pro TechNet public. Please post your question in the TechNet Forums. You can follow the link to your question:

  • TCP app commercial license?

I'm looking to create an application similar to this or this, making use of the remote connection of Photoshop and the PPP as a TCP client. The license allows me to monetize an application like that?

I read through the license Adobe Photoshop SDK of the connection and "royalty-free license" section throws me because I told, you can use the SDK only for internal development, but apps obviously existing flows of the outside firm.

TCP functionality is even contained SDK license because it is just to send messages to a server?

I am new to creating applications and licenses can be confusing, I thank you in advance for your help and understanding.

I doubt that you will get a response from Adobe (of course, we'd love to). In the largest regular personal companies is forbidden to comment on or explain the terms of the license, because it is the job of the company lawyers, who were paid to produce the license, which is the definition of what is allowed and cannot be changed by a member of staff to tell something. Since you can't speak to the lawyers of Adobe (and they do not represent interests), when it comes to the interpretation of licenses, you must use your own lawyer. In many countries, it is forbidden to offer legal advice if you are not a lawyer. I'm not a lawyer and this is not legal advice.

You must keep in mind that BOTH licenses apply. The SDK and Photoshop itself. Photoshop license, that I have not read, leaving me free to speculate. I guess this is a SINGLE USER License. Yet if you offer the TCP connectivity for applications for OTHER PEOPLE to use, so not just a single user. This study very carefully. I know companies that have implemented something on the internet, you use a single-user license, then got a request on behalf of the users of the web and a bill for the software for EACH user. It can cost millions.

We will draw an analogy with the watched folders feature to distill. This can be used to convert PostScript to PDF, dropping them into a folder. Technicians to invent without thinking about licensing. Customers says "hey, Distiller is $ 800, but we only need a copy we can share watched folders". Adobe has noticed and he forbade in the license. Later, they produced a product of Distiller Server with a license more relaxed to $5000-10000$. This now rolled into the more expensive LiveCycle product suite.

  • DataGuard: MRP still in WAIT_FOR_GAP after incremental backup recover

    Hello

I'm new to the dataguard configuration, and recently, I connected on a dataguard configuration to test the object.

I have deleted stupidely some archive my primary database logs, thereby breaking the standby update (due to the fact that the database has not been started for a long time, the gap is now about 130 days ).

I have to try to recover the situation re-synchronized the RCS of the day before using an incremental backup (and create eve of primary control files).

After restoration, the SNA were the same, but restarting the recovery service (MRP), it is still indicating WAIT_FOR_GAP and still waiting for my missing archive logs.

New archive logs is well shipped to the waiting however.

No idea what I missed or what should I do?

The database version is a 12.1.0.1.

Thank you in advance for your help!

    Problem solved.

In Oracle 12 c, roll forward is more to do "by hand".

There are a few commands to RMAN done automatically, by using the primary database service (G12DGGOP_DG for me).

    So back up mode:

    RESTORE DATABASE SERVICE G12DGGOP_DG WITH THE HELP OF NOREDO COMPRESSED BACKUPSET SECTION SIZE 100M;

Then after restore controlfile in nomount (stop):

    RESTORE CONTROLFILE EVE OF SERVICE G12DGGOP_DG;

    The information comes from here:

Thank you all for the answers and the help on this!
