  • HELP - strange behavior rounded Rectangle - cannot select Anchor Points

Good day to you all, I hope someone can help out me.

I have a strange problem with my Illustrator CS3.

I worked on an illustration for hours without any problem and the graphics requires me to do a lot of "buttons". I used the rectangular shape with AESTHETIC tool > > button CORNERS ROUNDED to create different forms without any problem whatsoever.

All of a sudden (without close AICS3), all my NEWLY CREATED rectangles behave strangely.

None of my new rectangles allowed me to individually select anchor points. As you know, when you create a rounded rectangle, you'll find yourself with 8 points (2 per corner) compared with 4 anchor points in a normal rectangle. In this case, all of my new rounded rectangles show only 4 points.

When I choose the direct Selection (white arrow) tool, I can not select on the path itself and only the limit is displayed (with corner WHITE, no black points). Adjust this flat bounding box / distorts my rectangle, while the scales of adjustment with the black arrow rectangle. I can't use the scissors tool either. I can't add/remove is a path with the pen tool.

I can't select individual anchor points.

All of the 'old' generated rectangles are fine, I can select each path and anchor individually, but all rectangles later do not allow me to do.

To add to the confusion, this only happens with rectangles. As you can see with the picture below. I can create any simple or complex form/paths, and I can choose individual anchors with no problems. Can I use the tool scissors without any problem or even the tool pen to add/remove a path to all other forms BUT the rectangle with corners rounded...

    http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a69/theveed/Untitled-1-12.gif

Only the rounded rectangle tool shows the anchor 'blue '. Note that all four forms have been selected with the direct Selection (white arrow) tool. If I used the black arrow, then the selection should have been outside of the black lines of the rounded rectangle.

What is going on? I deleted the AIPrefs, it isn't CTRL-H, I am really confused...

Help, please. Thank you very much

    Dave

Yes, as it should be. Rounded corners is an effect and unrelated to the native rounded rectangle tool. In order for the paths, the effect should be expanded using the object--> Expand.

  • Rounded corners using the rectangular selection tool

    Hello

Being new Photosop CS3, I used the tool of rectangle Rect (RMT) and saw that my corners are rounded (round/nets) and the bottom of the box is mixed. Is there a way to reset the RMT while I have square corners and no mixing. Also, in time, I would like to have my RMT do so, how can I have rounded corners. (Of course, I did something)

    Thank you

    Steve

In the Options bar at the top, set the feather to zero.

You can always add feathers to the time where you want.

Or use the form if you want more control. Draw a path with it and convert the path to a selection.

  • Rounded corners with border

I need to create a SWF with rounded corners and a border of 3px for display on a web page that has a gradient background. That's why the corners must be transparent (rather than a solid color, because who does not match the background). I drew the border with rounded corners in my Flash file and pictures imported under it but cannot remove the outside corners when I create the swf file. Is there a way to disable the background color so that the outside corners are transparent in my swf? Also, the only way I found to remove the outside corners of my imported images must import gifs with transparent rounded corners. Does Flash Media transparency in other file formats since gifs are not good for photos? Thanks for any help provided.

    Hello
In dreamweaver select flash on the stage and in the settings select Properties Panel, type wmode in the settings and the transparencies
Who should do it for you.

  • Rectangle with rounded corners

Someone knows how to set the degree of curvature on the corners of the rectangles, rounded to Illy?  This can be easily done in PS, but I see no option for this in Illustrator.

    Any help is appreciated!

    Dan,

If you select the rounded rectangle tool and click anywhere on the artboard rather than simply drag, you get options, including Ray.

You can also create a rectangle (normal) and then the effect > esthetics > rounded corners or effect > convert to shape > rounded Rectangle, to get a rounded which remains editable and removable.

  • Rounded corners do not work in Folio overlay "pan & zoom".

    ******BUG******

    Concise problem statement:

    Using InDesign CS 6 V 8.0.9

    with DPS 12.3.3.20120911_m_699825

    8.0.9.23

When you use the "pan & zoom" Folio overlay feature rounded corners do not work correctly on the sidebar content. Instead the image inside the frame "pan & zoom" spills out the rounded edge creating a bad time for those who like rounded corners and rounded corners are ignored...

    Steps to reproduce the bug:

1 place an image on the stage, select a rectangular frame and click on the yellow box.

    2. set the rays of all the four corners together or a corner, is okay, as long as at least one of the corners are round.

    3. place oversized inside the box content, select the container with rounded corners and turn ON the overlay of Folio "pan & zoom".

    Results:

When you test the document the corners rounded initially seems to work; However, after the activation of the function "pan & zoom" with a click/touch content charging as expected, but spills outside soft rays of four corners.

    Expected results:

content should load IN the rays of the four corners in the same way as in the idle state, allowing users to actively "pan & zoom".

  • Rounded corners and paint bucket tool

Hello everyone. First of all, I should mention that I'm kind of a newbie with PS, so go easy on me.

I have been using the bucket tool to fill the bottom of a few images, but after a while the color I selected resulted in a different shade. For example, black lead in gray, and so on. What can be the source of this? I accidentally selected something that does?

Another problem I have is to create corners rounded for a picture. I used this tutorial http://www.websitemagazine.com/content/blogs/posts/archive/2008/09/03/round-corners-in-pho toshop.aspx and it worked great the first few times, but the area around the corners became white instead of transparent. I did tell them apart exactly as in this tutorial, but without effect.

Example: it looks ok, but it's because the white background of the page, move it to a place that is colored and white areas appear.

Also, it is average another, easier to create the rounded corners?

    Thank you for your time.

When the paint bucket tool is active, look at the Options bar. Maybe the opacity is less than 100%. If you are you pour the paint into a layer above that is sampled, then perhaps the opacity of the layer or fill is less than 100%.

For rounded corners, draw a path, not a shape, with the rounded, Rectangle tool, and then simply add a vector mask that contains the path of your image layer. To add the virtual computer, target the layer and mask path access then Cmd/Ctrl-click on the Add button at the bottom of the layers panel.

  • Fireworks CS6 rounded corners path does not

It is a very big problem for me.

I just installed Fireworks CS6 and I can't do the rounded corners with the key path. It does not work, I select a corner and I click the "rounded corners" button and nothing happens.

    Schermata 08-2456153 alle 11.03.57.png

Also, I opened a Fireworks CS5 file that contains a rectangle with rounded corners, and when I select the two points of a rounded corner and click the path to 'square', even if this does not work.

Is it a big bug CS6 or am I missing something?

I installed the trial version on an iMac and a MacBook Air, and both have this problem.

    This solves the problem:

  • Rounded corners on object in the live paint group

    Hello

When I apply the effect of corners rounded on an object any in a live paint group, applied to the group itself, so all objects in there instead of just the one I selected. Is there a way to apply the effect just on the object?

    Thanks in advance!

There is another option: use the Vectorscribe plugin. Its rounded corners remain alive in a live paint group.

  • Rounded corners on my icon of culture

This is bound to help me with a previous post. If I can complete this step I am home and watered.

I made an icon on a Web page and I just watch a tutorial on the economy for the web. I made this image with the tool rectangle rounded corners. I have a few objects hidden in this icon so there are invisible parts hanging out of the visible work, it seems so I can't decide because it is so far from what I've learned slicing does not have rounded corners and also, I cannot use the normal crop tool. If I do, I'm going to square corner white residue in my folder.

I just read a Fireworks forum thread that shows how to trim the rounded corners which speaks of masking and to reframe the only use part visible, then modify > canvas > canvas Trim, but I do not have this option in Illustrator, it seems.

Does anyone know how to do this in Illustrator?

It is ok. I solved my problem by simply exporting in Photoshop and the artboard turned transparent.

    Thank you

  • It rounded corners why when I use marquee tool?

I use Photoshop 7.0, but hope someone can help me, even if it is old.

I frequently use the marquee selection tool. It is always used to have straight corners, but last week, he started to automatically of rounded corners. I have not modified parameters. Why does this happen?

I mention that I'm using InDesign CS2. I've worked with rectangles with rounded corners it recently, but each time changed the corners manually. After a few weeks, but the program began to automatically change each rectangle with rounded corners. I didn't know how to change it, but after a few weeks he returned to corners automatically.

I use Windows Vista. Initially, he had some problems to go with Photoshop and InDesign, but now it works fine most of the time.

  • make photo rectangle have rounded corners?

    Hello

I have two banners that I use in my site. Currently they are rectangles about 900 px wide. I would like to somehow crop or do something to get the corners rounded, but not feather / / or blurred. I would just put a thin border around the photo, so it looks clean, but have the rounded corner.

    Thank you

    -Westside

Make a rectangle with rounded corners to the size you want with the corner radius that you like.
Duplicate and place the copy on a new layer.

Make the first with white fill and no respect. Select your banner and the rectangle, then
Modify > mask > Group as mask.
Think that masks like... White stencils, black watch shows nothing, intermediate colors show luminance.

On the copy or your rounded rectangle, set the padding to zero and the race to the border thickness and color you want. Given that it is a copy of the form you used to hide with, at the border match exactly.

  • Make a photo with rounded corners

I just followed both these instructions to create corners rounded on a rectangular image:

    http://www.joycejevans.com/tutorials/Fireworks/FWMX/roundecorners/rc_crn.htm

What Miss me? Two of them show the transparent canvas? I drew the rectangle, rounded corners, glued to the inside and all the other steps and saved. When I use in my html file, the background shows!

Any help with this is so appreciated.

Draw the rectangle rounded on the picture and fill the rectangle with
White. Select the image and the rectangle, and then click Modify > mask

the Group of mask on a transparent canvas and export to PNG 32-bit format.
