Rectangle with rounded corners

Someone knows how to set the degree of curvature on the corners of the rectangles, rounded to Illy?  This can be easily done in PS, but I see no option for this in Illustrator.

Any help is appreciated!

Dan,

If you select the rounded rectangle tool and click anywhere on the artboard rather than simply drag, you get options, including Ray.

You can also create a rectangle (normal) and then the effect > esthetics > rounded corners or effect > convert to shape > rounded Rectangle, to get a rounded which remains editable and removable.

The 'align dashes to the path corners adjust the lines to fit' is great, but the cyan guide I pulled low shows that the dashes above are not symmetrical in relation to the other. For a non-rounded rectangle, this works well.

    I see it's a bit off.

If you want it perfect, just draw a corner and a transformation effect one copy reflect X and Y to reflect another.

Hi, I use InDesign CS4 on my Mac.  I want to confirm if it is possible or not to Center vertically the text in a rectangle rounded.  So far, it seems that if I change the corner on a rectangle options, InDesign will change the vertical justification to the top of the alignment page.

Someone else has done this successfully?  Thank you!

You need to change the inset to match or exceed the rounding RADIUS.

  • make photo rectangle have rounded corners?

    Hello

I have two banners that I use in my site. Currently they are rectangles about 900 px wide. I would like to somehow crop or do something to get the corners rounded, but not feather / / or blurred. I would just put a thin border around the photo, so it looks clean, but have the rounded corner.

    Thank you

Make a rectangle with rounded corners to the size you want with the corner radius that you like.
Duplicate and place the copy on a new layer.

Make the first with white fill and no respect. Select your banner and the rectangle, then
Modify > mask > Group as mask.
Think that masks like... White stencils, black watch shows nothing, intermediate colors show luminance.

On the copy or your rounded rectangle, set the padding to zero and the race to the border thickness and color you want. Given that it is a copy of the form you used to hide with, at the border match exactly.

  • rectangle with a circle line dotted with rounded corners and equal distance

I'm a fan of the Illustrator who needs assistance to create a rounded rectangle with a circle dotted line and also spaced circles.  any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you!

If I understand what you're asking correctly, I think all you have to do is create your rectangle rounded using the rounded Rectangle tool and then apply a brush model with the 'circle dotted line. " To create the model of brush, simply use the Ellipse tool to draw a circle/point forms the same size as the points you want to make your line dotted, then drag the circle/dot to the Palette. The dialog new brush will appear when you do this. Select the new brush model, then click on 'OK '. The model brush Option dialog box will appear next. In the text spacing box, enter 100% (this will give you a space between each point equal to the same size as the dot). In addition, if you want to be able to change the colour of the points, select shades and nuances in the dropdown under the colorization of methods. (see attachment) Click 'OK' and your new brush model should now appear in your Palette of forms. All you have to do now is to select your rectangle rounded with the Selection tool and click your new brush palette forms to apply.

If your points are bigger or smaller you want once you apply, you can change the size of the points by double-clicking on your brush pattern in the Palette forms and changing the value of the scale.

  • How to make tables with rounded corners! (help)

Using framemaker 11 and I can't seem to find a way to get the corners rounded on a table.

The only way is a way to fake and draw a rectangle rounded on the table without borders. I've implemented a program to import this document into another document, but it does not have the rounded rectangle but takes the table. What gives?

So the only methods I see work is to find how 1) corners rounded on a table, 2) have the rectangle 'stick' to the table then when everything is imported when I import the file, 3) create a graph of rectangle rounded out framemaker and import it in?

    Help, please

    Chris

Rounded corners on the tables is a rare feature. There in no version of FM I've ever used (compared to 9), nor do all the worksheets that I use.

My inclination would be to find an app that does (InDesign maybe?).

    Each table export to PDF.

Import in a framework anchored on the FM band.

    >... a rectangle rounded on the table without borders.

    > But I put in place a program to import this document in

    > another document, but it does not have the rounded rectangle

    > but takes the array. What gives?

A normal FM table does not represent an anchored frame. I guess you just draw on the page of the RR. It is not related to the content (a debit). Not only it does not export if you use this document as a source of text box, the RR will remain even with this table if the table to a different page of reflow number other content changes.

You need create a block anchored.

    Equip the RR that.

Also put a block of text in the AF.

Set the table in the text frame.

Adjust the RR to hit the table borders.

  • Cropping with rounded corners

I recently changed my good old ImageReady with Fireworks. What really miss me is cut (crop) a rectangle with corners rounded off an image.

ImageReady had this as a standard option, but in Fireworks I can do only with right corners? Is someone can pls tell me how can I do this? Thank you.

You can't the harvest an anything but rectangular image, because the image files are always rectangular (even with ImageReady). You can use a vector mask to make the corners of an image are transparent or anti-aliasing for a background color (or other underlying images or objects), however.

You can get the effect you want, however.

    (1) add a white rounded rectangle to your document and adjust its size and position you want. (I have will usually set the opacity of an object down to this step and then go back to 100%)

    (2) select the rectangle and your image.

    (3) in the menu, select Modify > mask > Group as mask.

Note that your original image is not changed, the mask only serves as kind of a window frame and can always be cancelled. If you want to crop your image to the visible part, you can use the menu item

Modify > canvas > canvas trim.

You can use any vector shape to create a mask with, including forms of text. A white mask causes underlying object be completely opaque. The areas in black or transparent mask causes the underlying object to be transparent. Gray or partially transparent areas in the mask of cause the underlying object to be relatively transparent.

  • Make a photo with rounded corners

I just followed both these instructions to create corners rounded on a rectangular image:

Draw the rectangle rounded on the picture and fill the rectangle with
