Roxio photosuite 7 Platinum burn disc

I decided to install roxio photosuite 7 Platinum back on my computer to make a floor photo, I have to say that I have not used for years. The problem I found is when I try to burn to disc it just won't do - I was wondering service Pack3 would be the culprit that when I origanally purchased the software box said xp sp1 please help

Thanks in advance

Dear J,

Yes the burner works in other programs I checked Device Manager and roxio is listed on the recorder, the programe is about 7 or 8 years, well before the sp 2 and 3 I heard that some older programs are not compatible with these service packs - I was wondering if there was a way around this problem - I thought of right clicking on the icon Roxio and properies then in fashion compatibility - where you select to run the program in win 95 98 win 2000 win - the problem is it is windows xp version 2002 - I'm not sure of what would happen if I clicked on Win 2000.

to answer your other question I don't know if the pramme supports export to another program.

Thanks for the detailed comments.

I just thought that if you can save or export your project
in a film... format as. WMV. AVI, or. MPG... that you
could view in Windows Media Player and to share
with others. Check the help files for Roxio for info on
How to save a movie to a folder on your hard drive.

It may be interesting to try to run the Roxio program in
compatibility mode, but I don't klnow not if it would be
improve the question of the burner.

  • Problems burning discs with toast

I have problems burning discs using toast. I had with my old Toast 10, and the problem persists despite an update of Toast Titanium 14, so I assume that the problem is with my mac and not the toast. This happens with all types of disks, but is less common with data records that are not too big. I receive pop-up messages such as: -.

    Sense Key = MEDIUM ERROR

    Sense Code = 0x0C

    WRITE ERROR

I have defraged my drive and controls with TechTool Pro, but it does not help.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you

    Rob

This error is a response is received from the reader, by Toast.   This means that the drive has reported a class specific (key) and error type (code).  In this case, involving a class of errors appearing with the recording medium and the specific error returned is a clerical error.   This means that the write failed.   Why writing has failed is not returned, neither the player nor the Toast in particular knows that.

Apply current patches for your version of Toast, if you are not already underway.  This may correct the incompatibilities with some kind of recording media and some readers work.  There is much more variability here with the media and readers than most people imagine.   Try another drive for registration.   Try different media - an any other brand, preference.    Try a cleaning optical media disc.   Dusty heads can cause this type of error.  Definitely try record to the low speed allowing the unit and the way, too.

So - if the above fails, please report the problem and specific recording media used (it can be data saving these settings on optical, data supports that aimed to help the reader to adapt to specific media) and the optical drive model, for the folks at Roxio.

Defragmenting disks and technology tools and the rest probably aren't relevant here, unfortunately.  (I don't remember offhand if a failure to get pretty quickly the data on the disk - defragmentation is intended to address - indicates an error in writing or not, but I wouldn't bet on that there is correspondence sane with any of the optical device errors.)  Optical drives are basic devices and semi unreliable in general, no two revisions of the firmware on the optical drives are never the same and sometimes not even two disks with the same firmware revision, optical drives getting harder and more fragmentary with age, and optical media itself can be wonderfully flaky.   That to have written more than a small optical recording software.)

I loaded the latest version of iTunes on my XP computer and found that I could not burn a CD of my playlist has received an error message "no disk found" and 'records are missing', even if I can download songs from this album on iTunes and can burn discs of Windows media player.  I tried to reinstall iTunes, I deleted Roxio Creator and insofar as I could, the Windows Media Recorder. • The attempt to burn disc failed.  Burning failed because of a medium write error.

Created playlist, click the File command: "Burn playlist to CD."  Burn insiders, but after two pieces had been registered, eject disk automatically with the message: "the attempt to burn disc failed. Burning failed because of a medium write error. "Burning speed was set to 8 x.

  • Carpet * a DVD-RAM UJ-820 s do not read or burn discs

Hi, I'm Natalie and I need help with my problem that occurs.

    Operating system:
    Windows XP Home Edition
    Laptop Toshiba Satellite
    Model A75-S229
Multi recorder drive: CD and DVD

The problem that happens is that I can not get any CD or DVD to work when I put them. What is happening is he's trying to load but makes the window "Not responding", unless I have the disc, then everything will be fine. What is also involved, is that I can't burn discs at all, at any speed.

Also, I would add, when I go to my computer > right click on the DVD - RAM drive > properties and under the general tab it states:

    Type: CD player
    file system: unknown

    I don't know if that's the problem...

    Can someone help me?

    HI Isabelle.

Please check in the Device Manager to see if there is a problem with your optical drive. Normally this will be displayed as an exclamation point against the device.

The fact that the file system is listed as "unknown" is because the drive could not read the format of the disc so that Windors Explorer cannot identify any file structure.

Your problem could be something very simple like a lens dirty or a faulty device driver. It is not easy to tell from your description exactly what can be wrong, but I would say you try some of the easy options so try first to clean the lens, and if this does not resolve your problem, then try to remove the drive (Device Manager) and reboot for the device will be installed new.

If all else fails, you will have checked player be an authorized Service partner.

    Kind regards

  • Satellite A60-302: CD Player read DVDs and CDs but not burned discs

I have a Toshiba laptop: Satellite A60-302 and I have a problem with the cd player. It can read DVDs and records I buy but it will not read burned discs (even the ones I burned with the portable computers own burner). Only from time to time, he will read a burned disc.
I tried to clean the eye of laser of cd players, but it did not help.

Anyone know what could be the problem?

    Hello

This sounds like the CD burner doesn't burn CD correctly.
You suggested that you used different types of CD.
In the user manual, you will find a list of compatible media.
These media has been tested and it works correctly.

But if this happens with all CD, so possibly the drive cannot work properly and only a replacement would solve that problem.

  • Change the default format for burning discs of this system active files in the ISO image format

How can I change the default format for burning discs of this system of active files to ISO image format?  I don't want the active file as the default system and really don't want to have to choose what I want to use the default every time.  It's boring. I have Vista x 64 on my computer and have not yet adapted to all the changes in XP.

Thanks, but it's not useful.  It is more that an 'improvement' Microsoft did that, as I fear, is a total and far failure to be an improvement.  It also means that I'll just use a 3rd party program to burn all my CD/DVDs.  You know if I wanted to be able to remove, reformat, etc.. CD/DVD I would use those rewritable.  That's why they exist.

When I put a CD audo (burned) it gives me just the ability to add files to a cd. thinking it was a problem with the drive its self, I bought an external dvd drive and it does the same thing. I can't understand why he won't let me see or install any content of a cd, any help or point in the right direction would be really useful thanks.

    Hello

You have disk problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD burn
and CD and DVD read). So it is not unusual for 1 or 2 operational so that other parts
    do it right.

CD have a tolerance + - and you can read on the edge outside their tolerance. They
may be released but it is usually more economical to replace the disk.

    Several good info here:

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------

    Try this troubleshooting:

Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double click on the device - driver tab.
Click on update drivers (this will probably do nothing) - RIGHT click ON the drive - uninstall.
RESTART this will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue
    below.

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a coward
cable or slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both
