website centering in css in firefox

Hello

my site looks good in that is to say, well centered, however in firefox everyting is varied to the left. any ideas would be appreciated

Kind regards

Ian

First fix your coding errors. Then you can worry about your layout
problems.

And by the way, your CSS below will not work at all. A margin of auto
cannot work unless the element also has an assigned width. But we will make of the
first valid thing.

    Hi chkreynolds,

I thought it would be FAFSA is causing your problem.

Install Portable Firefox 3.6.x on your hard drive to a Web site. This will not affect any of your current Firefox installation.

  • If I want to open the Web site in a second tab and press Ctrl + T and start typing the title of the website or the URL, why Firefox 4 insists on moving to the first tab? Is it possible to disable this option?

I regularly need to open the same Web site in two tabs, to be able to view the changes between the first and the second opening tabs. In Firefox 3.x I could press Ctrl + T and start typing the URL or Web site title, which would be part by Firefox. This allowed me to open quickly the same website in a second tab Firefox 4 does not, on the contrary, he wants me to switch to the existing tab. This isn't what I need.

Of course, it is possible to open the Web site in a second tab through for example a bookmark, but it takes more time and effort. It would be great if I could select the Firefox behavior in this situation.

If you have already opened this page in another tab and then you get a switch to tab appears in the location bar menu drop-down.

  • Compatibility CSS in Firefox

What it looks like in IE IE

    and in Firefox

I finally got the chance to do a little reading on CSS and decided to implement in a new site, that I am. I am fairly new to this, but I think I get the general call of the coding. The only real problem I have at the moment is the compatibility with Firefox vs IE with the code below (see image above). It's just at the top of my site, and as you can see, he throws the divs below it. If someone could point me in the right direction, please do.

FireFox is an add-on brilliant called Firebug - one of its many features
allows you to 'Edit' styles of individual elements 'on the fly' - you can
statements of CSS Disable/enable/add/change instantly and see the results on

  • I do not understand the answers when I ask "how to change a password for a website" in the Options of Firefox tab.

The answers that your Web site provided no did me not nothing good. I use a master password to Firefox. Now Firefox don't ask me if I want that it to remember a certain password that I entered for a Web site. In the 'Options' tab, I said Firefox I won't be followed; that I don't want to remember history; and not to accept third-party cookies. What I do in 'Options' to make Firefox remember a new password (I changed a password recently). I'd appreciate a real answer, rather than a link to 'answers already posted.

I use Firefox 33.1. Windows XP - Service Pack 3.

    Thank you.

Do you mean you've changed your story here:

"3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Options > privacy

for "conservation rules: don't remember history '?

This causes always start in a Firefox's private browsing session. According to aid article "names of users and passwords are not saved:

If you use the Firefox private browsing feature, no password is automatically filled for your window private browsing or permanent private browsing mode, and no new password will be saved.

So I hope this helps to connect the dots.

If you prefer to continue using automatic private browsing, you may need to use an add-on to manage your passwords instead of the built-in Firefox password manager.

Or if you want to adjust to another Firefox settings so that they are in the closest to private browsing, we can suggest how to do that instead.

  • I can't get rid of a tab/website even after deleting/reinstalling Firefox

I have a tab/site that I can't close. Every time I try, I get a large window that States "are you sure you want to leave this page? PRESS to ESCAPE or CLOSE THIS ALERT", then the rest of the site. I removed my computer Firefow. Then the web site of Firefox, Firefox re-installed and the same site/tab still in there.

    What happens here?

You can leave an extra tab open and middle - click the tab problem to close this tab.

Firefox does not display a close button on the last tab, you need to close this tab problem while the other tabs are still open.

Delete the sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak and all files files sessionstore-# .js with a number in the left part of the name as sessionstore - 1.js to prevent the restoration of the last session of Firefox.

    See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Session_Restore

Set the pref browser.sessionstore.max_resumed_crashes to 0 on the about: config to get page the on: sessionrestore page immediately with the first reboot after a failure has occurred or the Task Manager was used for the closing of Firefox.

To open the topic: config page, type Subject: config in the address bar (address) and press the 'Enter' key, as you type the url of a Web site to open a Web site.

If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access this page.

One possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or limits Firefox or plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after the detection of changes (update) for the Firefox program.

Delete all rules for Firefox in the list of permissions in the firewall and leave your firewall again ask permission to get full unlimited access to the internet for Firefox and the plugin-container and the update process.
