About the prior Toad Hall "Windows default" comment. That was really the key to the problem - windows by default does not work unless ALL the boxes on Thunderbird are checked. Where discover the box the letters on TB has been verified not a made only of the disappearance of the problem. Tried the default Windows repeatedly route to nothing does not.

Looks like you may have a virus or other malware. Get your updated antivirus program and boot into Safe Mode. Note that some viruses can hide from your normal antivirus program, so you really need to scan in Safe Mode. To enter in Safe Mode when you turn on first, press F8 on every seconds until you get the menu, and then select Safe Mode. Then run a complete system scan.

If that suits him fine. If this is not the case, use system restore to go back to an earlier date at the beginning of the problem. To run system restore, click Start-> programs-> Accessories-> System Tools-> system restore. Click on the box that says show more restore points.

    -

You can check the corrupted system files. Open an administrator command prompt and run SFC if the above does not help. Click START, and then type CMD in the search box, right-click on CMD. EXE and click run as administrator. Then, from the command prompt type sfc/scannow.

    -

Finally if all else fails, you can look at the rather cryptic system event log. To do that click on start-> Control Panel-> administration-> event viewer tools. Once in Event Viewer system log-click and scroll entries looking for these "error" with indicator see if you can find guidance on where the problem may be.

    `

When you get your system in good working condition, I invite you to back up your system up to an external hard drive and make it regular periodic updates.

  • I can get my emails through outlook express running internet explorer 9?

I am trying to receive emails from work using outlook express with windows 7 Home Edition, its 9 internet Explorer running.

Outlook Express can only be used in the Windows 7 via a virtual (or similar) XP operating system which takes in charge the OE.  Windows Mail (aka OE in Vista) can be hacked to run in Windows 7.   (See www.oehelp.com/OEnWin7.aspx)  But OE can be run from Windows 7.

If you access webmail for your email provider, you can use IE9 to access e-mail.  Try to go to your webmail provider and see if there is a link to connect to your e-mail.

Sometimes a problem with Internet Explorer may be a result of malware installed on your computer, you may not be aware of.

You can try these free programs to search for malicious software that work with your existing anti-virus software:

  • Internet Explorer does not allow my program to run.

I have the Foscam wireless camera setup to display on my computer.  I now watch on a Mac.  I just bought the HP Pavilion Entertainment PC.   When I try to run Internet Explorer will not allow him to start.  It has something to do with the certificates of the program. He was down to install activeX.  I click on install and the program still does not work.   What I would do.   I use dyndns.org as the host of the show.

    Thank you.

PS: If I use Firefox I can view a camera at a time.  With IE, I should be able to view both.  I use IE at work, and it works.  Some thing on this PC it blocks and I can't understand it.

    Thanks again.

I finally have success.   I searched online and found the following.   It is in fact of Foscam.   A simple click on the Advanced tab and it worked.    Thank you for leading me to search online for details of Foscam.  I hope that if someone is having the same problem that they check here.   Before I was just checking the custom section.  But it's the Advanced tab.

You have been very helpful.  I appreciate your time spent on it.

    1. open Internet Explorer 9-> click Tools-> Internet Options

    Thanks to you all.

Running Internet Explorer without modules is basically a diagnostic tool to locate the problems, but there should be no effect on the way in which your laptop is running.

In any case, locate the shortcut you use to launch IE and remove -extoff from the command line. Example: change,

    Iexplore.exe - extoff
    ... à,
    Iexplore.exe

  • How will I know if a running Instance of Internet Explorer 10 is 32-bit or 64-bit?

    Hello

I'm running Windows 8 Pro Upgrade of Windows 7 Ultimate.
My taskbar to desktop has two icons for Internet Explorer, it is labeled "Internet Explorer", the other is marked "Internet Explorer (64-bit)".
However, when I check the properties or the other of these two shortcuts, by clicking on the button 'Open file location' takes me to the name and the following path:
    "C:\Program may Explorer\iexplore.exe.
If I understand correctly, all the executables in the "C:\Program Files" are meant to be executable 64-bit, while all the executables in the folder "C:\Program Files (x 86)" are supposed to be 32-bit executables, so so that it would seem that both of these shortcuts are for 64-bit executables.
However, when I run Internet Explorer to one of these two shortcuts, by clicking on "help |" About Internet Explorer"gives me a pop-up dialog box that contains the following information:
    Internet Explore 10
    Version 10.0.9200.16384
    Versions of update: RTM (KB2718695)
    Product ID: 00150-20000-00003-AA459
"Install new versions automatically" is CHECKED
Copyright (C) 2012 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.
There is no mention of "64-bit" in Internet Explorer started from one of the two shortcuts.
Now, I just tried a little experiment and created two different shortcuts for Internet Explorer on the desktop of Windows 8.
I called the first of these shortcuts "Internet Explorer (32-bit)", and it's an explicit shortcut to:
    "C:\Program Files (x 86) \Internet.
I called the second of these shortcuts "Internet Explorer (64-bit)", and it's an explicit shortcut to:
    «C:\Program may Explorer\iexplore.exe.»
I then started Internet Explorer from the shortcut of "Internet Explorer (32-bit)", clicked on "help |" About Internet Explorer,"and got a dialog box containing information identical to the above information.
Then I took out the "32-bit" version, then began "64-bit".  By clicking on "help |" About Internet Explorer,"gave me exactly the same information again, with no mention of '64-bit' anywhere in the dialog box.
Does anyone have an explanation for this behavior?
Is this normal, or I found a problem
    ?
The reason I ask is that my program antivirus tech support site States that the latest version does support not entirely Windows 8 and some of Internet Explorer installed by the antivirus program add-ons don't work with the version of Internet Explorer 10 Windows 8, but others do not, but only in the 32-bit Internet Explorer version not the 64-bit version.
Is the antivirus program: Kaspersky PURE 2.0 v12.0.2.733, which is a version updated to make it at least partially compatible with Windows 8.  It is noted that a new version, Kaspersky PURE 3.0, updated in order to give all the features of Windows 8, it is not yet ready and should be published at the beginning of 2013.
Now, I'm having a problem with a particular module of Kaspersky PURE 2.0, which includes an Internet Explorer add-on, and who, according to Kaspersky Support, is supposed to be compatible with the 32-bit version of Internet Explorer 10 on Windows 8.  However, this module does not work, and I need to know what to say Support Kaspersky on my version of Internet Explorer, when the dialog box 'About' is to confuse me information.
That's why I need to know how to say definitively what version of Internet Explorer is running at any given time.
Thanks in advance for any help, advice or suggestions.
    Best regards to all,
    Christopher (Chris) Souter
    (Sydney, Australia)

One is the version of the user interface window 8Modern = 32-bit - the other desktop version of Windows 8 + 64 bit

  • Internet Explorer and games does not start; no error message.

Hi, I had a lot of problems with my computer lately, and it's the last that I have not been able to solve.  I'm running the 64 bit version of Windows 7 Home Premium in a computer, I implemented last summer (the motherboard is an ASUS P5N - D for details).  I recently decided to bathe my HDD Seagate on fire right through a "boot and nuke" program, hoping to relieve a massive corruption of Windows file.  I had a few difficulties, reinstallation of Windows through my installation disc - is now on his third relocation, because I found myself in the limbo of the repair to start due to corrupted registry errors the first two times (although Windows went perfectly fine as a first step, the problem is presented when you restart).  On the last installation, I could run long enough to reacquire all my drivers through the internet, and I even managed to install and play a game for a while.

When I turned off my computer had 53 updates to Windows Installer.  Let them install and when I started it this morning, Windows wouldn't start.  I used the system restore, Windows and then stop again updates give a chance more (I think that they have perhaps been interrupted the first time).  Now, Windows starts correctly, but I can't run my game.  More worrying is that I can't run internet explore.  I tried MS Paint and Windows Media Player and both of these applications are running.  But in the two aforementioned applications, the pointer changes to indicate they're loading a moment and then returns to its normal appearance without loading anything or provide an unique error message.  I opened the Task Manager and watched list applications that I began them - both appear in the handler for a fraction of a second before disappearing without warning.  I have no idea what is the cause and would be very grateful some advice thereon before yielding to frustration and buy a new hard drive.  Thank you.

Go, I found to open the newspaper is to copy on your desktop (for this, you will need the Admin password) then right click to copy file and 'open with '. Use an editor, I think that the default value in the list is Notepad. Uncheck "always use" that you can't always open these log files in Notepad.

The problem is that they are not so easy to decipher.

Have a read of http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929833, this http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928228 (for Vista but should give an idea) and http://www.sevenforums.com/general-discussion/56234-make-cbs-log-useable.html to give an idea.

The "SFC / verifyonly" does what it says, it does and just detects and reports errors through the newspaper. You can run the command to actually verify and repair errors, but to be honest, I don't know enough about the in's and out of it. I guess it must fix the errors it finds, but I am not sure if there are disadvantages to it. Experts from the SFC SC around?

I don't think that an information event is usually nothing to worry about, its errors and warnings that can give advice to any potential problems. If you open the error/warning message there is sometimes a link goes to MS who occasionally provides assistance on what to do next. Then click on one of the errors and look for the 'more information' link.

Have you tried 3, 5, 6 of my first post, & Esp 5. It is possible that your user account is 'pickled :-) ". "rather than the whole system and creating a new test user all might be fine." It is not certain or guaranteed, but shouldn't take long to check.

It seems that something is damaged somewhere, so maybe try something else is a check disk scan. Open Explorer, right-click your HDs (one at a time), tools, and then click "error checking".

EDIT - one think more away, you have an AV Checker updated running? Start in safe mode with networking, the errors still occur then (i.e. can you open IE now)? Once in safe mode, see if you can update your AV checker and run a full scan.

  • Error - Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and must close in Internet Explorer & jump - rises in Windows Explorer.

Original title: Windows/Internet Explorer / Data Execution Prevention.

I constantly receive pop-ups Windows and/or Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. Windows Explorer in particular sometimes will do every few seconds.  I also sometimes have a debugger of Dr. Watson popup that blocks everything on my computer.

I also get a pop-up Windows Data Execution Prevention indicating that Windows has closed this program to help protect my computer.

My icons on the desktop this process will sometimes disappear.  I am able to restore in the Manager of tasks by clicking on the following:

    "C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Menu Démarrer\Programmes\Accessoires\Explorateur Explorer.lnk"

I can't go online most of the time.  Sometimes I'm able to sneak in a "back door" by clicking on a link in an email, but time is limited (from five minutes to five hours) until I started offshore.

    Please notify.

    This root killer Webroot suggested?

Are you going to provide the other requested information (requested) on your system and if not, why not?

Did you run the scans listed in my previous post and if not, why not?  I am reluctant to work on weird problems with XP if MBAM and SAS have not been executed.

So far, I never saw a Microsoft Support Engineer in these forums effectively resolve an error DEP in the 'right' way.  Sometimes, they have some things to try (how that works for you?), but you don't need methods to try, you will need to do things that solve your problem.

I doubt that you have a memory problem or disk - which is not what causes the DEP errors.

If you have made any exceptions DEP in XP to try and get your working papers, you must cancel all DEP exceptions to go forward.

If I've ever seen Windows Explorer crashing and DEP errors, here's what I've done to understand what is happening:

When the Windows Explorer (not Internet Explorer) is wrong (especially when right click), begin to suspect third-party add-ons explore extension.

Those who would be the Explorer extensions that do not belong to Microsoft.  This means that extensions that you have added.  Solution Explorer extensions are generally well and installation of certain applications will install extensions from Explorer solutions for you, give you a choice and sometimes they can be added without your knowledge when you
    install new software.

Solution Explorer extensions are sometimes added as a new right-click option, you see on folders and files (like the scan of this file, open that file, play this song).

If there is something in particular that you do during exploration that you know will be the cause of the problem, which will help focus on the problem and the help that you suddenly know, when you have found and corrected.  If you can get there when you want it, make an adjustment and then there is no message the next time you don't do anything, you do, you have found and corrected.

First of all you need a way to see what modules explore you have installed now and a way to turn them off (not uninstall them) so you can understand that we are at the origin of the problem.  You can have a lot of extensions not installed Microsoft don't even know you about.

Download ShellExView here to see what Explorer extensions you have loaded:

    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/shexview.html

ShellExView does not install anything on your computer, simply of runs and displays.

After launching ShellExView, under Options, choose "Mark non-Microsoft Extensions" and extensions not Microsoft will be pink, clear, but on some systems which is a difficult color to see, so click on display, choose the columns and move the column Microsoft closer to the top, so you can see on your screen without having to scroll left and right.

Click on the column header for "Microsoft" sort display (by clicking on the column of Microsoft) if all non-Microsoft extensions (all the 'Our') are on top and easy to see.

Non-Microsoft extensions would be things you have added (non-Microsoft) and are what you should be suspect.

You can also Google the name of a suspect add-on and see if there is any success on the mistakes of the DEP and what other people have done about it.
    You can Google something like:

Explorer XP crashing (you must fill in the name of add your suspect on).

See what kind of search results hits you get and are looking for solutions or situations that sound like yours.

I'm not a defender of trial and error, but I can't think of another way to do...

Right click and disable the non Microsoft extensions one at a time (or maybe in groups of 3-5), keep a list, so you can enable them again later if you wish. The result of the change is immediate and no reboot is necessary.  Test your failure condition.  If the Explorer starts to behave, you will know that an extension of this group of 3-5 is the culprit in order to start to enable them one by one until the Explorer fails again.

If you recognize all the extensions that have been added or recently downloaded, start with these first.

Disabling the extension does not uninstall the extension - it is just disabled.

Disable them one at a time until your right click on do not generate an error, then restart and test again.  You have disabled the last extension would be suspicious.

You can also just disable all non-Microsoft extensions, restart and allow them one at a time until you find the one that generates the condition.

If you have a large number of extensions, you can disable them is small groups, 3-5 at a time instead of 1 at a time until your system starts to behave.  When it does not, you will know that the problem is one of the extensions of this small group and you can enable members of the Group at a time until the problem returns, then the problem is with the last extension that you enabled.

The hope is that you will find an extension that caused the error, and then you can figure out what on this subject - either uninstall it or see if you can get an update of the author of the extension of their web page.

I have not your problem, but I can when you toggle extensions, the extension is immediately disabled, so disable an extension does not seem to require a restart, but if you think that you have found the problem, I reboot and repeat the test in any case to be sure the problem disappeared.

If you post your non-Microsoft extensions list, maybe someone will recognize it as a potential problem.

If you find the offending extension that's the problem, please let us know what it is that I can add to my list.

If complains in Internet Explorer, run Internet Explorer with no Add-ons and see if you still have the problem.

If Internet Explorer then runs OK with no Add-ons, you can determine what add-on is the cause of the problem.

Fortunately, Windows has a built in option to run Internet Explorer with no Add - ons (imagine that).

To start Internet Explorer with no add-on, click on start, programs, System Tools, then choose:

    Internet Explorer (No Add-ons)

If you can't find that, click Start, run and enter in the box (or copy/beyond the next line):

    "C:\Program may Explorer\iexplore.exe"-extoff

Click OK to start IE with no Add - ons.

IE will launch with a message reminding you that it runs with no Add - ons and ask you to click on the button Home (do) and then you can visit the web pages where you might think that you will get a DEP error.  Pages may be different, but you want to see if you still get the DEP error message or not.  You can then activate the Add-ons one at a time until find you the one that is causing problems.

  • Why the images appear in the wrong position in Firefox, but prominently in Internet Explorer?

The overlap is caused by the fixed height of the container DIV:

Problem seen in Google search engine.

I used Google for years without problems - I work from home as a freelance journalist.  But this last few days, if I search for something on Google from IE and click on a result, I can get the page I want upward.  But then, if I want to go back to the same Google search page to check the other results, I can't go back by clicking on the button 'back' at the top left, as I always did.  If I click it, it just keeps returning me to the page I'm already.  I find no mention anywhere using this problem or any means to remedy.  If I have the cursor hover over the arrow bak, the address of the current page appears rather than the original Google search page, so there is obviously something wrong.
