Runtime problem on boot to the top using Vista Buisiness

I have an error message while booting, it started yesterday, but I thought it was a little problem as I have to go through it. She has now deteriorated and the message is directed: Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime circulations - Theis application has requested to terminate in an unusual way. For more information, contact the application support team. I tried to contact the Microsoft Help section, but don't have anywhere yet. Someone at - it ideas please.

I only have a knowledge of basic computer, but given a little help I can usually get :)

Hello

This error can be caused by two factors:

1. components Runtime Library Visual C++ are missing.
2. software problem.

If the problem is caused by the Visual C++ library runtime components, you can reinstall the Runtime components of Visual C++ libraries from the link below to fix the problem.

Step 1:

Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x 86): http://www.Microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=9B2DA534-3E03-4391-8A4D-074B9F2BC1BF&displaylang=en

If the problem persists after installing above package, the question must be a software problem. I suggest that you perform the boot you can start Windows 7 by using a minimal set of drivers and programs for clean boot. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Step 2
: perform a clean boot.

Refer to this article for help:

Note: Please make sure that the computer is configured to start as usual by following step 7: reset the computer to start as usual of article

    Hello

It's not easy to tell if the problem is software or hardware related.
You must install the OS from the Toshiba Recovery CD and again test the functionality

If the laptop won't boot again freezes immediately after that installation of recovery CD, and then it could be a hardware problem.

  • How to add programs to the start of the file using Vista

How to add programs to the start of the file using Vista

    Hi Harry,.

Oddly enough, you can actually do it in msconfig except if it is already there and simply not checked as opposed to not being do not at all (although you would think that they would understand this option).

The easiest way is to add the program (or a shortcut to the program) in the folder all Menu Programs Startup.   Here is the procedure: http://www.ehow.com/how_5098465_add-startup-programs.html.  Remember, to do this, you must either a shortcut existing (perhaps on the desktop or elsewhere in the menu all programs) or you need to find the source file (probably somewhere in C:\Program Files depending on what you want to add) and either copy it and add it to the startup folder or right-click on it and create a shortcut to copy into the startup folder.  Once you reboot, this program starts during the initial commissioning process and you will now be able to control using msconfig.exe, if you wish.

Another option is to do this by using the registry editor.  If you decide to try this, first create a restore AND system restoration point backup of the registry before you begin.  Here is the procedure: http://www.ehow.com/how_7304438_add-program-msconfig-regedit.html.  I recommend to use this ONLY if the previous procedure does not work for some reason any as long as that the procedure is simpler and safer.

If you want a simpler way to manage and control startup programs, you can try it free WinPatrol http://www.winpatrol.com/download.html that change monitors for startup programs if you set it to run in real-time so that you know when to try new programs are added to your Start menu and, for the purposes of this question includes an Add button which opens a link to a window of Windows Explorer where you can browse the program you want to add, click open to select and then add it directly to the commissioning.  If you prefer it does not work all the time, you can simply uncheck the box which includes this program and it will work only when you choose to run (but at the start, will work as an indication otherwise or configured).  It will appear not in the start menu in all programs (Finally, WinPatrol is, but not programs, it adds to the start), but it will appear in WinPatrol (which also lets you manage what you want or not start with checkboxes as in msconfig) and sure in msconfig - but only after a reboot is complete the process of adding.

I hope this helps.  Personally, I use WinPatrol myself and let it run in real time.  Since I do a lot of installations, it helped me often prevent the addition of a startup item I haven't really need and reduces how many times I actually need to check what is happening out there.

If this answers your question without the need to repost in another forum, please mark it as an answer.  If this isn't the case, then of course you must republish as suggested above.

    Good luck!

  • Satellite 1410-401 won't boot to the top

    Hi all

A friend of mine asked me that if I can settle on his laptop, it does not start, when I click on the button that lights up the screen Toshiba but remember to come and on every 2 seconds!

I can then get to a screen if I press the esc key who is black and said "system to check.
Then press F1, it stays that way until I press the F1 key, if I press the F1 key I get the system set up the page to the top, but when he says: you want to get out and I press Yes it just goes back to the flashing start screen!

Any ideas what the problem might be, it is a fairly old laptop a Toshiba S1410-401.
I tried to boot mode safe but still no joy!

He has XP Home Edition installed with no disc re install, I have XP Media Center edition with a boot disk installed on my home PC, the laptop has a license code my hot spare could be installed on the laptop and the use of license he key to activate it or isn't it possible?

Maybe this isn't a software issue at all, any help would be appreciated!

    Thank you very much

    Hello

I can confirm the information published by naccioman.
The serial key you will find at the bottom of the device will not work with discs from Microsoft. The serial key belongs to the Windows operating system that is pre-installed on this laptop and it s an OEM license.
So you only chance is to reinstall the OS from the original disc of Microsoft.

First you should check if the laptop boot from a Windows CD.
If it will not start and that installation would not start so a hardware problem couldn't be the reason why the laptop doesn't work properly.
In this case I recommend that you test the RAM and HARD drive.

Are most of the cases the defective or not compatible RAM causes issues.

"Maybe someone knows if the special 'sequence' of the flashing is listed as meaning any lease of particular problem."

Your kind help in this matter would be appreciated.

    Thank you
    Ian

    Hello
There must certainly be a hardware malfunction.

    > "Maybe someone knows if the special 'sequence' of the flashing is listed as meaning any lease of particular problem."

Knowing that you can read the flashing code by using the following procedure:

Short blinking means 0 and long, 1.
The code can be something like 0001 0001

Error code begins with LSB (least significant bit), the error code should therefore be read starting with the last piece. This means that the code: 0001 0001 appears as 1000 1000
This code you need to turn it into HEX and you will get the error code.

But in my opinion, even if you want to know what is causing this problem, especially it s any malfunction of the motherboard (maybe also part connected to the motherboard as a RAM module) and it means that the integer part must be replaced.

  • Re: My Satellite P200 won't boot to the top

    Hi all
    Noobie here,
I think I caused a problem wher my P200, it won't start, it was very slow and I went into the Task Manager and deleted some programs that were not running, but using the memory.
In my view, there is a good chance I can I have deleted something that the system needs because it will not load upward.
I turn it on and I get a light on the HARD drive to the front and a light in the dvd drive, but nothing else, I tried pressing F8 and put the recovery disc in but nothing?

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Appreciate any help.
    John

I guess you are using the "F8" key to access Windows boot options and Windows is not to leave you. If this of * definitely * the case, then you must insert the recovery CD and change the device to boot from the screen as the laptop boot - can't remember which affects it is than its displayed on the bottom line. I think its possible that W7 can be repair o the problem and a full installation will be unnecessary

    Hello

First of all the good news: it seems that there s nothing wrong with the equipment and the installation of the new operating system should solve small problems starting.

And now for the bad news: I think you need to format the HARD drive and you will lose the files and stored information.

    > I have the original disc of starting but I can t he can start from the CD drive
How have you tried to boot from the CD? Don t press the R key, but you have to either press F12 for the Boot Manager or press the C key immediately after starting the laptop. (The CD should be pre-installed)

  • I can't start windows, it says system32\config\system is damaged or missing I tried consol recovery and boot to the top of the cd

I can't start windows, it says system32\config\system is damaged or missing I tried the recovery console and

boot from the cd that it won't start any ideas?

I cannot directions all of the Support Engineer.  It's just a Bing search engine and a link to an article.

You need to work with someone who has actually really seen and corrected this questions a few thousand times in the real world.

You must first start by entering in the XP Recovery Console and running a chkdsk/r from there.

If you do not have a genuine XP bootable installation CD from which you cn safe in the XP Recovery Console or you are not sure that you have a bootable CD, make a bootable CD of XP (no XP media required) Recovery Console and run chkdsk /r there.

    Here's how:

The question was preceded by a loss of power, aborted reboot or abnormal termination? (This includes the plug pulling, buttons power and removing the battery).

These can cause corruption in the file system that must be fixed before you do anything else.

If none of these events occurred (or even if they have not taken place), you must verify the integrity of your file system before anything else (especially "try" things).

There is zero logic to begin to try to begin to try to modify or copy files to a hard drive that has a corrupted file system, so this must first be fixed using the XP chkdsk program and run chkdsk on your hard drives may solve your problem completely.

Use the XP Recovery Console to check the file system on your HARD drive and fix the problems and then try to start your system - this may be all you need to do.  Or, you are welcome to just start trying things that might work.

Boot into the Recovery Console Windows using an XP bootable installation CD.

If you have no XP bootable media (or aren't sure you have) create a bootable XP Recovery CD of Console and do not forget.

This is not the same as recovery disks that might have come with the acquisition of the system store.

You can make a bootable Recovery Console CD by downloading an ISO file and burn it to a CD.

The ISO bootable image file you need to download is called:

    xp_rec_con. ISO

    Download the ISO from here:

    http://www.mediafire.com/?ueyyzfymmig

Use a new CD and this simple and free program to burn your ISO file and create your bootable CD:

    http://www.ImgBurn.com/

When you install ImgBurn, DO NOT install the Ask toolbar.

Here are some instructions for ImgBurn:

    http://Forum.ImgBurn.com/index.php?showtopic=61

It would be a good idea to test your bootable CD on a computer running.

You may need to adjust the computer BIOS settings to use the CD-ROM drive as the first device to boot instead of the hard drive.  These adjustments are made before Windows tries to load.  If you miss it, you will need to restart the system again.

When you start on the CD, follow the instructions:

Press any key to boot from CD...

    Installing Windows... going to pronounce.

Press 'R' to enter the Recovery Console.

Select the installation that you want to access (usually 1: C:\WINDOWS)

You may be asked to enter the password (usually empty).

You should be in the folder C:\WINDOWS.  It's the same as the

C:\Windows folder that you see in Solution Explorer.

The Recovery Console allows base as file commands: copy, rename, replace, delete, chkdsk, fixboot, fixmbr, cd, etc.

For a list of the commands in the Recovery Console, type help at the prompt of commands or read on here XP Recovery Console:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/resources/documentation/Windows/XP/all/proddocs/en-us/recovery_console_cmds.mspx?mfr=true

A good idea before you start things must first verify the integrity of your file system by using the chkdsk command.

In the command prompt window, run the chkdsk command on the drive where Windows is installed to try to fix any problems on the afflicted player.

Running chkdsk is fine, even if he finds no problem.  It won't hurt anything to run it.

Assuming your boot drive is C, run the following command:

    CHKDSK C: /r

Let chkdsk finish to correct the problems, he could find.

It may take a long time for chkdsk complete or they seem to be "stuck".  Be patient.  If the HARD drive led blinks always, chkdsk is something.  Keep an eye on the amount of the percentage to be sure that it is still making progress.  It may even seem to go back sometime.

You must run chkdsk/r again until it finds no error to correct.

Remove the CD, and then type "exit" to exit the RC and restart the computer.

You have not to set the BIOS to boot the disk HARD since the CD won't be.

Unfortunately today I couldn't get started.

The display lights. If she does not even there to boot in the bios.

Any idea what the problem might be? Im hoping that the CPU or the motherboard is not fried.

    see you soon

    John

Unless you bought the extended warranty, I don't think you have a lot of luck. My suggestion is to return to the place of purchase, if you still have warranty.

However, try to remove the battery for 1 minute and then replace the battery again. Try it turn on.

Also try with the power cable plugged in power and remove the battery.

If all else fails, then you have a very expensive paper weight.

    Good luck.

You can remove the HARD 2.5 laptop drive and you can connect it via USB to another PC. Then you may be able to save any important files.
After this procedure the plug back in the HARD drive and boot from the recovery CD to reinstall the OS.
