  I bought Windows 10 to try with Boot Camp, but have had no luck Boot Camp location on my computer (late 2012 27 "iMac).  Spotlight doesn't find it, the search does not find it.   I even downloaded and REINSTALLED El Cap (don't have disks), but it is still AWOL!  I've had Macs for a few decades now... so I'm not new to them. But I am CONFUSED.  I can not find anywhere to download Boot Camp and Boot Camp Assistant.

• Impossible to install Boot Camp support software

  I have a MacBook Pro retina 13 end of 2013, running the Mavericks 10.9.1.

  I installed the latest version of VMWare Fusion (6.02), then install version 8.1 of Windows Pro 64-bit. And I installed VMWare tools in Windows.

  When I try to use the external Superdrive (USB) drive in windows, I get a message from VMWare saying I need to download Boot Camp support software to be able to use the Superdrive drive.

  I followed the instructions, first of the Boot Camp Assistant, then downloading the software from Apple support. When I try to install the Boot Camp support software in Windows, I get the following error:

  "This version of Boot Camp is not intended for this model of computer." I've attached a screenshot of the error.

  The version of the software support that Apple, I downloaded is 5.1.5640, which says it is the right version for my MacBook and the version of Windows.

  I'm not under Boot Camp itself. I want to just install the supported drivers, by what VMWare me.

  FWIW, I've never had to install a driver for my SuperDrive drive in a normal file Virtual Machine based on, not to use Boot Camp, and I can't read/write CD/DVD without any problem when connecting to the host.  Normally if I just leave it plugged into the Mac and the customer can see the disc fine.

  I have an old MacBook A1181 crossing 10 Windows Boot Camp, and I have a few problems.

  Then I followed a few steps I found on google on how to make it work again. Basically, I installed the Apple keyboard as a USB input. Now the trackpad works again, but without gestures. I don't really like as long as it's on the zoom and scroll, but really annoing be able to right click.

  The webcam drivers do not work, but I found a driver online that works perfectly.

  I now that this Macbook is old, but I hope someone has a solution.

  Maybe I should also mention that I also tried to launch Ubuntu 15 on it. With Ubuntu I was both able to scroll through and do a right-click without even installing something other than the OS itself.

  I also tried to use a software called Tracpad ++, but it has not taken in charge for this old Macbook.

  Hope someone knows what to do or just something I can try.

  Remove Trackpad ++, if you still have. What is the currently installed driver that supports your trackpad without the right click? You have a trackpad tab in Control Panel-> Boot Camp?

• Acer eRecovery Media problem

  Well, the story is a long about how I arrived at this crossroads, but... I'll try and keep things simple? First off I was struck by a virus to package a hacker has fallen for my pleasure on a social game one night. He has hammered my HARD drive in a State of porridge, and I couldn't ride of it prior to my drive HARD to shake apart. I had another machine Acer I stopped using Windows xp Home on it so I figured what the heck... same as the same size. And as chance would have I couldn't find it either Avast? Thinking Oh well I caught my recovery discs and small hollow and threw the disc with only the sounds coming from the DVD? Hmmm... not good so I ordered the disks from Acer and does a dance of joyous when they arrived well? now I can't get to run either when all types of software disk, but any OS for Acer? OK I can't flatline my HDD in that the front end dang MBR and system32 won't get far lol.

  Hello Diego,.

  I recommend to download the firmware and boot code and then reboot once.  I did all three ways, but the best way would be to download both and then restart the switch once.

  Just keep in mind the switch take longer then usual for the first time, once you upgrade boot code because it makes changes to the system startup files.  On the SG300 or higher, you can watch this process with a console cable, but given that the 200 do not have console access you will have to just wait.

  It may take up to 5-10 minutes for the first start, I always say whenever he feels like it's been too long, wait a few minutes and then it will be operational.
