    Hi all

I have a MBP end 2011 that took her mother changed twice. First of all, it wouldn't start when I installed an additional RAM module (I 2x8Go) and then it starts crashing while working last summer.

Now, this is something similar: screen (no ice optional screen hi-def) becomes crazy (black screen and then blur and not centered) then the MBP freezes and restarts. I noticed that it always happens while on chrome or safari and if I stop immediately after it starts, the display will return to normal and I can reopen the browser for a few minutes until what it happening again.

The time it takes to do is incompatible.

I got an error code of Apple Hardware Test (but only on an extended Test): 4MEM/62/40000000: 0 x 84339018

I'm under El Capitan 10.11.5 without problems so far. Chrome takes up a lot of memory, but I think it's OK but navigation now seems much more slow processing of even very frequent beach ball time when nothing else is running and the memory and the CPU usage is well within available resources.

Have not yet done this new info from Apple but I have appointment Thursday based on the problem of the screen and crashes. If there was a MB issue they will replace for free but 1 / I need my computer operation Monday (starts a web programming crash course 2 months!) and the repair could take more time than that and 2 / even if repaired once means that I'm working on a bomb ticking.

I intend to have a small external hard drive with time machine for the entire cycle (I on my NAS when at the office) - how convenient - but I'm always SOL if it happens during the course. I'm not a programmer at all, so it's a challenge already to deal with a failure of the computer at the same time!

    Any advice would be appreciated!

    Thank you

    Antoine

The error code you posted shows a RAM problem.  I might try the original RAM and see if it makes a difference.

The specifications for the new RAM modules: DDR3 SO-DIMM of 204 pin PC-10600 (1333 MHz)?  Macs are very selective with RAM.  Some brands do not work well in Macs.  OWC and Crucial are the best sources for RAM Mac compatible.

You can also try the following:

Remove the RAM and clean the contacts.

Take one module, insert it into a slot and start the MBP.  Place it in another location, and then start the MBP.

Repeat with the other module of RAM.

Essentially, you test if a RAM module is defective or if a slot is defective.

    Ciao.

  • Smart Safari search bar, problem with the option 'include suggestions for Safari '.

    Hi all

I am facing a problem with the search bar Safari Smart of yesterday (January 26, 2016).

The search bar doesn't work anymore, I can't type, or search or write an http address either. I can only navigate by selecting a bookmark.

Go to preferences I have all the people with reduced mobility and the disappearance of the problem.

Then try to isolate the problem, I've found it comes to the "include suggestions of Safari" option in the smart search options.

Anyone had a similar problem, or have any suggestions on how to get it back to life?

I must say yesterday, everything working, I have not installed anything new on my Mac.

    Thank you very much!

    Kind regards

  • DWT with Safari 4 alignment problem

Hi, it seems that since I placed a spry menu in models of the web site that I'm getting, it seems to face a problem of alignment with Safari 4, where the content of the current comic strip page is outside the div container and next to the layout of the site.  This question doesn't seem to appear with other browsers, only Safari as it seem to appear in mode live view thus (I had thought originally it may have been a glitch)

    http://tangentartists.com/leviathans.html

The thing is I had used the model for other pages as a basis, we used this model before the spry and there is no problem.  After I added the spry this questions do not have other models that have been made to this site, only the comic model has this problem.  Here is the code for the comic.dwt model.

Just an estimate, but in your CSS for the div #content, helps if you add:

    #content {clear: both ;}}

Also, probably unrelated, but your table just inside the #content div has a size of 200px in the HTML code and the content is obviously larger.

  • Update the Flash Mac Safari Reader download problems

I use Mac OS X 10.6.8 and I am trying to download the update for Flash 11.6.602.180. When I download the file, its just like install_flash_player_osx.dmg.mdlp.

When I try to open the downloaded could, it will just open my MATlab application and not the typical folder that click you on start update.

Currently, any use of video on Sarafi has a "plugin blocked" and I can't watch anything.

    I thought about it.

Changed the name of the file by removing the .mdlp

Once fix, it would open to the top as usual.
Just an FYI if anyone has the same problem.

He opened my matlab application because matlab programs end in "a.m."

  • Safari problem with el capitan 10.14.4

I use a MacBook Pro mid 2012. I just upgraded to El Capitan 10.14.4 and have now some problems with Safari 9.1. Some links on the BBC News site no longer work. During the inspection of these links, they begin with < button id >. Can someone tell what is happening and how to fix it?

I found a work around for the problem. Use Firefox instead of Safari, as the problem does not occur in Firefox!

Since the update of Safari to latest, problems with Google Drive

There are serious issues with Google Reader itself at the present time.

I suggest stop smoking GoogleDrive and remove (with the minus sign) of the SystemPreferences-> users & groups-> LoginItems.

Until further notice. Take no risk.

  • Alignment in Firefox and Safari problem

OK, I have problems with my site. It works perfectly in IE but in Firefox or Safari, there a problem of alignment on two pages. I tried everything to separate in separate columns, use GIFS for spacing around and line up some left CSS qualities... still nothing. It seems that the two right-hand columns lined up too high. The left column is in the right place relative to other pages. If please check and tell me what you think. The 'other info' and 'Show map' links should be directly aligned with the element corresponding to his left.

  • Safari and spam

I usually use the Google Chrome browser and never get any spam in my AOL mailbox. However, anytime I am in Safari for some reason, I start getting * spam arriving in my AOL mailbox, but also other detritus such as phishing e-mails.  I have everything in place in Safari, but the problem persists.  Anyone have the same problem or have any ideas as to why this happens with Safari?  Thank you in advance.

me once again.  I don't know why the word p o r o n has been deleted!  I was not posting something nasty - just describing the type of spam that I get whenever I walked in Safari.  BTW, I use a MacBook Pro that has the el capitan on this software.

  • Mule to six types of fields. Firefox sends only the first type. Safari sends all.

I use Ancestry.com. The 'advanced search' shape has six types of data - name, location, Member of the family, etc., that are "tied together. Starting about two weeks ago, the data search function returned since the first type of data, that is, if the name and location are filled, only one name is returned; If location and family member are filled, only one location is returned. I use a MacBook Pro running Yosemite. Firefox is the 33 version. Safari works without problem, but I prefer Firefox.

You can try the following steps in case of problems with web pages:

You can reload webpages and ignore the cache to refresh potentially stale or corrupt.

    • Hold down the SHIFT key and click the Reload button
    • Press 'Ctrl + F5' or 'Ctrl + Shift + R' (Windows, Linux)
    • Press 'Command + shift + R' (Mac)

Clear the cache and delete cookies only from Web sites that cause problems.

    "Clear the Cache":

    • Firefox > Preferences > advanced > network > content caching Web: 'clear now '.

    'Delete Cookies' sites causing problems:

    • Firefox > Preferences > privacy > "Use the custom settings for history" > Cookies: "show the Cookies".

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.

    • Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance
    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode safe
  • Connection problem Internet accounts

Hello, I am currently using MBP 13' early 2015.

After that I updated OS X 10.11.4 to 10.11.5, many problems has produced, including chrome and safari closed the problem that often needs force to restart the mac.

Today I "noticed" my calendar a major problem. It was linked to my google account and cannot sync more. So I got out my google account in preferences and tried to re-login. Even if I tried more than 30 times, I can't log in to my account. The situation is exactly the same in fowllowing link:http://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/218098/cant-add-google-account-to-osx

I tried a few prescriptions: delete some files (related to the google account) in the keychain, try to connect in safe mode, restart the mac, etc. Nothing has been useful.

After 3 hours, I also found other accounts have the same problem: once I log in, I can't log in again. More google reader shows another problem-sometimes I can not connect and it disconnected after the mac is restarted.

I think that my macbook has a problem on his ring or accounts on the Internet but I have no idea how to solve this problem.

Is there someone who has the same problem? Any solution?

If you have enabled the validation in 2 steps, you must generate a password specific to the application in your Google account and enter instead of the password for the login that you use on the Web site.

  • Hulu questions after Safari 9.1.1. Update

Since the update of Safari to 9.1.1. -Installed may 25... I had terrible problems with all of the Hulu site.  On virtually EVERY page, Safari will crash out with the "there is a problem with this Web page, so it has been reloaded." - pages let maybe three times and can destroy with the message "is a problem several times with"http://www.Hulu.com/" " it will also generate an accident report "content Web Safari quit unexpectedly."

Don't bother sending me to Hulu, there, it's on Safari. No problem with Chrome (their recommended browser) or Firefox (despite their notorious memory leaks they never fix...). The problem comes right after the upgrade to 9.1.1.

    I tried-

"Delete all the data of a site." in Safari to clear the caches.

I deleted all the data stored in the system preferences > Flash Player.
    I have updated Flash Player.
    I have updated Java.

    No change in the results.

Note: I see this behavior most often in the iOS Safari as well, but I don't know what that can mean.

    Hello

You can have a Safari extension or the third party plugin installed which is causing a conflict with Hulu. It is easy to solve the problems.

In the Safari menu, click Safari > Preferences , and then select the Extensions tab uninstall an extension at the same time to exit then restart Safari to test.

If it is not a question of extensions, try troubleshooting third-party plug-ins.

Back to Safari > Preferences. This time select the tab Security Deselect: plug-ins Allow. Quit and restart Safari to test.

  • Firefox drops letters when using Franklin Gothic times, but not Safari

I bought the web version of Franklin Gothic Book, Medium and half of MyFont - and began to use them in my new site in development.

We hit a few problems that brought me to re-examine the whole issue - unless we help to accomplish:

Problem 1 - Firefox drops several letters/characters and is therefore no use to me at all as it is.

The problem does not occur in Safari.

Problem 2 - police seems poor at 20px size - in any browser on Windows XP - see attached 3

I would really like the fonts on my new site - and was not anticipating any problems having in mind the fonts of the advertising on the sites has been doing in the past 12 months. However, I may need to ask for my money back, unless we can get this version of Franklin Gothic Book, Medium and a half at work.

Screenshots and URLs available on request

It is a problem with the police.

The police has the ligature characters removed, but ligature tables are still there. MyFonts says that you should be able to regenerate the police with the full character set:

You should be able to log into your account, go to "Your order history", select the appropriate purchase, then select "time Kit Builder', just to the right of 'Easy' and 'Office police downloads '. If you click on the sample of fonts (the quick brown fox), you will see the advanced character options. Please choose to keep the pattern of open Type (all the characters will be automatically selected) and download the file. (If this option is available for your font, you will want to choose the police under "Webfonts" available on the page 'Time Kit Builder', then, under 'Webfonts selected-> OpenType layout', check the option 'keep all available OpenType.'.) ***

If the problem persists, or if you are unable to regenerate the time and that you only need to support Firefox 4 +, you can work around the problem by adding - moz-font-feature-settings: "calt = 0, liga = 0; to your @font-face.

If you need also to support Firefox 3.6, you can use text-rendering: optimizeSpeed; as an alternative.
